Go-go. I have to admit, this power supply has served me well up until now. But lately, my PC has started shutting itself off randomly. It runs for maybe two minutes before just dying. Make sure you switch your BIOS to AHCI mode before you start installing Windows onto that SSD.

What exactly does AHCI mode do?

As for the SSD, it’s working fine. From what I can tell, you just plugged it in and called it a day. You still need to format it within Windows; if you had installed Windows directly onto it, that part would already be done.

I'm not sure what you mean by CPU-Z. My plan is to install an SSD, do a fresh install of Windows, and then see if everything runs smoothly.

Hey everyone. Could I get a little help here? I just installed a new SSD and a Graphics Card, but the system isn't recognizing either of them properly. The SSD shows up in Speccy and in the BIOS, but it’s missing from "My Computer." As for the Graphics Card, I can hear it running and feel it, but the PC doesn't seem to recognize it even though I've already installed the drivers. I have the HDMI plugged directly into the card and connected to my TV, and since I'm getting a picture, surely the card is working, right? If it weren't working, there wouldn't be any video at all. Here is a photo so you can see what I mean. What should my next move be? Thanks.
