Until I get some actual clarity on this partial ban... I'm going to link the problematic section from the Ghost Story official chat one more time:
Here we go. page I can't believe I'm actually doing this, but here we go. #1136 Anyway, there's more to it, but I can't stop dwelling on something that's been eating at me lately...

You guys really thought it was funny to joke around about the fluorite curse at my expense, but check out post 1136—I can't even quote it properly here since I lost that feature, and honestly, just typing out what's above was such a massive headache.

I guess I should probably mention that I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately, though I’m sure most people wouldn't care to hear my rambling thoughts on the matter.
Dammit, stop throwing stuff around! Curses. To everyone who disagrees. 🙂

I'm the one who cooked up these curses.
Where did this post from moderator Florinin come from?
First off, I haven't seen a single threatening post from Yivanmukteov yet—unless you count that one thread about the baptism.

Why is that post being treated like the opening act?

Is there actually something that existed before, just out of sight? 😕

Why am I blocked from the Spirituality PDF?

Ever since this and that thread, I’ve been locked out of there entirely.
Oh, and that old topic too.

Is this because I filed complaints about the moderators—their arrogance, their double standards, all of that?

It isn't just that she was shutting down threads simply because people she personally dislikes were posting in them. She didn't just close one chat, open another, close that one, then open a third, only to invent brand new rules the second those same people showed up (I can't even find the rules now since I can't access Spirituality, how lovely 🙄.... ). It’s not just that she plays favorites while bullying others for purely personal reasons; now she’s actually driving people away?

Can someone please explain what's going on?
feraltrucker5 said:Spells? 🤦

So, the crops grew great last year, huh? 🍿 Or are we talking about some conspiracy theory? That seems to be the big trend lately. 😁

feraltrucker5, before you jump to conclusions, try actually reading what's written here—with a little bit of comprehension.

Basically, if you could learn to read more than just the thread title...

...for people like you. I don't believe in spells; I wouldn't give them the time of day.
What's actually happening is aggressive posting by one user, all while the moderators just sit there and watch.

Or, to put it another way, if that makes more sense to you... it’s pure incompetence on the part of the moderation team.

Either that, or people are just fed up with mods who ban anyone who speaks their mind while letting their "favorites" run wild—whether they're throwing curses, being vulgar, or... well, you get the idea.
And another thing...

In my three years here, I've picked up four warnings, two of which came from Florina.

The latest one was a yellow card—zero points.

I wouldn't normally complain, but this was totally unjustified, and I can't stand it when people try to push their nonsense onto me.😁
(And no, I haven't received any red cards, for those of you feeling brave enough to suggest it.)

Anyway, I already sorted it out with her via DM.

I'm just saying this so people know I'm not complaining just for the sake of it; I only speak up when things truly cross the line.

@boldsailor32, cut the crap and try being constructive for once.
So, here’s how Yivanmukta continued his terrifying little crusade:

Yivanmukta said:...but from time to time I have those other experiences, the less pleasant ones, where a lot of damage was done...in moments when, say, I'd wish something bad on someone...
I've always said you could spit in God's face a hundred times and nothing under the heavens would happen, but if you do it within the mental arena of someone whose heart is deeply connected to Him, things change at the root...!
God doesn't hate or react to insults, but out of love for the one who loves Him, He sometimes reacts with full force to their emotions and inner experiences... crushing someone in that case isn't random, it's a difficult-to-understand expression of love... like a child playing and reacting to sincere "wishes" (no matter what they are)....

I assume this is just him explaining the "curse-casting" mechanism to himself and everyone else
he wishes bad things on someone ("lullabies" from the previous post), and God crushes that person
out of love and respect for him, since he's the one who loves that same God

When I spoke up in the chat about posts like these and the fact that the moderators weren't doing anything, I got these responses:

hiddenhound3's post:
hiddenhound3 said:...you know, we had even worse situations here, when Parsi was throwing serious curses at me and nobody even cared; nothing was going to happen to the forum lady, and Yivan got his lesson.

The Parsi mentioned actually showed up to the thread and denied he ever cast any curses at hiddenhound3

hiddenhound3 said:...but if you think that's not enough, you know who the admin is, so go ahead.
besides, why are you constantly attacking me and addressing me? we have another moderator here, why don't you try picking on him for once, I think he's bored... 🙄

She avoids her responsibility and dumps it onto the other moderator using vocabulary worthy of someone with a rich literary education, usually

But after some late-night thinking, hiddenhound3 came to her senses and decided she really needed to distance herself from her friend's views, so she, Sandra Parker3
reacted way too late, and honestly, it felt like she was just trying to save face

And then there's the other moderator, N'dugu, who is busy explaining why they're playing favorites and letting intimidation slide

He’s rambling on in that signature long-winded style of his, basically trying to exhaust everyone so we don't notice what he's actually saying:

N'dugu said:...Applying rules too rigidly is inherently unfair... that's just how our legal tradition works—it's easier to follow strict rules because it doesn't require much thought. You just check if a condition for a crime is met—like someone possessing an ounce of marijuana for personal use—and hand down a one-year prison sentence. That's what the U.S. Penal Code dictates. Meanwhile, you can't touch a dealer who flips it and buys a $2 million mansion, because everything is "legal" through various offshore shell companies that are impossible to track. That's why in the European Union, for example, the focus is on satisfying the principle of justice rather than just following a rule blindly.

On top of that, when determining guilt and sentencing, you always have to weigh mitigating and aggravating circumstances, such as whether someone shows true remorse or if they're just demanding their own version of 'justice.' You also look at whether the individual has a prior criminal record...

And here we go... talking about criminal elements, drug dealing, buying mansions, offshore companies 🙄, the European Union
... I mean, you can try to convince yourself this has anything to do with Yivanmukta's intimidating posts, but... since he's working so hard in his intro to justify why he isn't taking action, I guess he's implying there's actually some merit to those posts, right? 🤔

Now, Yivan cannot be put in the same category as someone with 1,200 posts and a ton of interesting threads on Spirituality, compared to someone with only 62 posts on a sub-forum that, by certain standards, wouldn't even qualify as an 'established' user given the 100-post minimum.

Yeah, no, they aren't in the same league... just rack up 1,200 posts and walk around casting hexes
That's the explanation from the Spirituality moderator

...With only 62 posts, she couldn't have done anything seriously wrong, yet she acts like she's so important that she opens threads about the harms of baptism on the Spirituality board—a topic that has been debated a billion times already and has nothing new to offer...

Wait a second, are we talking about someone being intimidated here, or her right to start new topics on Spirituality?

So, let's summarize... not only is she being left alone to be intimidated by horrific imagery, but her actual right to post is being denied altogether🙏

...so she's complaining because her 'highly distinguished' handle was dragged into an awkward context, which I don't even consider a serious 'threat'....

can N'Dug explain what he means by putting "highly distinguished" in quotes like that?

but the most important question is:
where did this thread starter "Is baptizing a child in a Catholic church spiritually harmful?", fluorite, actually complain?

come on, N'Dug, where did fluorite complain? spill it!

...I don't believe anyone is seriously getting worked up over such a boring topic; I think it's just a reaction from Yivan, who she's annoying because he thinks her posts are low-quality and don't add much to the discussion, so he reacted a bit too aggressively.

so, the moderator is justifying attacking users because his friend got annoyed
by what?
he thought a woman was being low-quality and wasn't contributing much to the debate!!! 🙏 🙄

N'Dug, fluorite wrote one single post—the opening post of the thread—and earned a brutal verbal beating for it, yet you claim she isn't contributing to the discussion?
she wrote one solitary post and got met with that kind of aggression
and even after you guys slapped her with a yellow card, she stayed classy and kept it civil

only to be followed by a barrage of curses from Yivanmukta; do you even read what you write?

N'Dug, oh great moderator of the Spirituality section, is it really enough for someone to seem "low-quality" to your protégé for that to serve as an excuse to act like a jerk?
go ahead, answer me...

...In that sense, for me, Yivanmukta has a certain mitigating circumstance, but everyone still needs to know their limits....

there are no
absolutely no mitigating circumstances for moves like that
you can't even say it was his first time or that it only happened once... there are simply no excuses for him

there are no excuses for you
there are no excuses for fluorite

whatever it may be... anyone even remotely intelligent and unbiased can see you're covering for your favorite, and yourself for that matter
and it's not the first time either

how long is this going to be the state of the Spirituality board?
with intimidation being tolerated and threads full of hate...

while moderators hand out cards for the slightest deviation from users they don't like?
I’m asking nicely here: can we finally get someone to take a look at what’s going on with the moderators over on the spirituality PDF?
Honestly, this latest "scandal" is just crossing a line. It’s getting beyond tasteless—it’s pure incompetence at this point. I’m looking specifically at the people in charge of moderation, particularly regarding how they've been handling things in this thread. I don't really know what to make of this, honestly. It just feels like one of those situations where you're left staring at a wall wondering why things ever get this complicated in the first place.

Basically, the Spirituality PDF shows that they’re totally fine with people making open threats against specific users.

I'll try to get some kind of order together here:

Step one.
I can't even begin to deal with this right now. Fluorite. She started a thread titled... Is getting a kid baptized in a Catholic church actually harmful from a spiritual standpoint?

Step 2.
I don't know what you want from me. Just say it. Second post on this thread. I don't know what you want me to write about since there was no source text provided. Please send the content you need me to rewrite. Yivanmukta To say he insulted her would be an understatement; the mods slapped a red card on his post, and now the whole thread is locked tight after being quiet for so long. 😕)

Step 3.
To really get what's going on in this thread, you have to keep in mind that Yivanmukta suggested the OP is actually just a clone of one of the other users, specifically saying:

You aren't a parent; you’re just some cheap propagandist with an agenda.Honestly, just another frustrated clone popping up to make snide caricatures of the moderators, only to show up with this kind of absolute nonsense every once in a while... they really just love making life difficult for everyone....

Step 4.

The edits were regarding:

a) Deleting the account of that one forum user whose entire "lullaby" consists of nothing but links to horror movies and creepy stuff... just what we needed.
B) Registration, failed, then there's that winking emoji—you know, the one you have to click through those three little dots... honestly, it feels like they did that on purpose just to soften the blow of the rejection.

Based on the timestamp and when this was last edited, can someone please double-check this? It looks like the moderator is busy polishing up a post for their favorite user. Honestly, how tacky.

Now here is where things get interesting—what on earth set Yivanmukta off so badly in that thread about baptisms...

The YouTube link... the video shows the exact image Soul Sister used as her avatar for ages.

You don't need much imagination to see that when Yivanmukta was tearing into the OP about baptism—calling her a "clone" and all that—he was actually aiming right at Soul Sister. They’d already clashed over religious stuff in the spirituality chat, and, surprise surprise, she was being protected by the moderator....

Did the moderator hiddenhound3 just wipe out the name of the user being threatened and call it a day?
Not quite.
She kept chatting away with her buddy like this:

Step 6.
The following correspondence between hiddenhound3 and Yivanmukta:
Yivanmukta said:
hiddenhound3 said:Yivan, are you seriously on some crusade to wipe out everyone who isn't baptized?🙂

It wasn't my choice... I swear.

I'm just passing along the message.

When something stirs inside me... I just have to act. It's not a matter of "I want to" or "I won't."

Whatever.

🤷

P.S.
hiddenhound3... may God help you!
Hang in there (as best as you can).

😢

I'll bold this part to emphasize that Yivanmukta isn't to blame; something just drives him from within. How convenient, especially when he tells hiddenhound3 to "hang in there."
Apparently, that still isn't enough for the moderators to step in and shut down this kind of behavior.

Step 7.
The moderator's comment regarding the links used to threaten and intimidate another member was this:

hiddenhound3 said:Yivan, don't let your inner beast take over. We all know how charming you can be—maybe try using that as a weapon instead. 😉

Anyway, that Drag Me to Hell movie was killer; I was actually shaking while watching it. 😁

Just wanted to point out again how wonderful it is when a moderator plays nice while a user they're basically best friends with goes around intimidating everyone else.

Question: how long are the Spirituality admins going to tolerate the aggressive behavior of their "inner circle" acting inappropriately here?
It's just not enough
to explain: it’s not really about whether Yivanmukta gets banned or not (you guys will find that very interesting in a bit...), it's more about how much longer incompetent people are going to be running this entire forum.

I'll finish this in my next post, because there's plenty more to say.
And to wrap this one up, here's a little something about who exactly is running Spirituality:

post:

hiddenhound3 said:You jerk! Stop cursing at people who disagree with you! 🙂

"Jerk"? Is that an affectionate nickname?

Yeah, I find that pretty hilarious too 🙂
But honestly, I've got no clue how that actually helps you...
Arrogance or insecurity? in Psychology ·
You can't really determine if someone is being sincere just based on a single statement

Honestly, it’s usually just a way of being condescending, if you ask me
Instead of saying, "I have a pretty high opinion of myself, but I honestly don't think I'm capable enough to handle..."
They just opt for a vague "I don't know" or "That's a tough question" or whatever else...
Casey Ramos78 said:I’ve actually made some huge strides with my confidence over the last couple of years—like, I care way less about what people think now, even if I still struggle with it occasionally. But then, out of nowhere, something happens that just nukes my self-esteem. Someone told me this year (well, not to my face, but you get it) that they think I'm an idiot. Now? I can't stop obsessing over it. Every time I'm around them, I'm desperately trying to act smart, but it's just not working. I feel like a total moron whenever we hang out, which is weird because I don't feel this way with anyone else. It's just this one person, yet it makes me question if I actually *am* stupid in general, and honestly, my confidence is back in the gutter. My old insecurities are just resurfacing big time. Am I actually dumb or what? And how am I supposed to prove to them that I'm not? ... Just a million questions spinning in my head.

So, how exactly did they tell you?

I love how Kyle King4 puts it—that dealing with certain people feels like trying to play catch with someone who keeps throwing the ball right at your face. 😍
And honestly? Same. I'll follow some threads, get worked up, and my irritation just builds and builds until eventually, I just don't give a damn about any of it anymore. 🤷

I'm with you on that one.
🙂

That? Which one?
I wouldn't say I agree; we all do it, but not in the same way 😍
I’m being pedantic for no reason here, but it’s true. Honestly, I used to have pets where I noticed some more than others and enjoyed posting about them, or kept an eye on specific ones for reasons that made sense to me
Regardless of whether they gave me enough reason or if they seemed "clueless" and I was just entertaining myself, or if they stuck to me first and I followed back, there’s definitely a mix of everything...

But what I meant was that intolerance can be written with or without quotes—whether some people vent more often or less, casually or intensely, obviously... we're all somewhere in that spectrum, so why make a fuss? I don't see the issue; everything can be worked out 🤷
However, there are certain ways of communicating I would never use, no matter what the excuse is, yet I see such a massive variety out there
The thing that bothers me least is when someone gets all puffed up over a topic; like I said, you might even get a kick out of it
But when it turns into that... that endless rambling via private message, then you've got a real problem, and that's when the actual intolerance kicks in. You could argue about the causes and how much this kind of "communication" involves forcing your own intimacy on others, right? Because let's face it... as long as it stays a dispute on a Twitter thread, it's fine, but once it crosses that thin line into the personal realm—once it moves beyond oversight because there's no monitoring of DMs, isn't it just like that? And so on...
And who was it mentioning perfidy?
What a great word 🙏 though the effect is questionable.

placidridge56 said:It really just shows they have some deep-seated issues they refuse to own up to.😁
The real issue is the aggression itself. It acts as a perfect mirror—a caricature of their own subconscious patterns that they simply refuse to reconcile with. If they actually had any self-awareness, they certainly wouldn't be hunting you down.

But honestly? You end up doing the exact same thing, just in different contexts or under different circumstances.
We all fall into these traps until we finally become aware of our own unconscious habits. That’s when we start truly understanding others, and the urge to attack just disappears.

Even though this wasn't aimed directly at me... there's something here that really gets my attention...

No, we don't all act the same way, because "intolerance" comes in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and levels...

I've been around here long enough to get to know some of these usernames, but honestly, that's beside the point. It’s more about how you inevitably find yourself stuck in situations you didn't ask for and usually try to avoid at all costs.
It's pretty fascinating watching this thread... seeing how certain people act like they're Mother Teresa while being total hypocrites in reality—they just can't seem to take their own advice.🙄

The thing is... someone writes a username based on how they're being stalked, or how they're getting creepy DMs... and you just know that's exactly what's happening. They're reading everything you write and reaching out through brand-new accounts... it honestly makes me want to gag. But there's something else interesting about it, more or less...
I think we have a pretty good idea who those types are, so their fake politeness doesn't fly with anyone who's already crossed paths with them. Still, there are always these young punks who think they can pull the same old stunts...
Oh, and what's the fun part? Well, you get to "study" these characters. It's actually kind of entertaining, and I might as well enjoy myself while the opportunity presents itself.

All in all, it's one big mess. You shouldn't waste too much time on people like that, though there are times when you just can't help but react, especially when you get a little too invested—especially once you start mobilizing your supporters and your crew.

edit: As for leaking private info... using public Wi-Fi or hitting up a Starbucks internet cafe won't save you. Most of the time, it's just reckless people with zero impulse control. If necessary, it's actually quite easy to link those actions back to specific individuals. But then again, who wants to deal with that headache, right? Though if things get serious, I guess I could.🤷

hiddenhound3 said:Oh, please—talking about "victories" on some random Kajlat forum? 🤣 I truly have nothing but respect for those who find fulfillment in such meager crumbs; such individuals clearly possess very narrow horizons and incredibly modest interests. 😳
Personally, I maintain that one should strive for contentment, as that spark in one's eye is an invaluable asset. In fact, I even find myself feeling a sense of gratification when someone gives me a Kajlat—after all, attention is attention, regardless of whether it carries a negative connotation. 😁

I can't say I agree, "negative" attention... sounds like a low tolerance threshold and short fuses to me... yikes 😲

hiddenhound3 said:I swear to you, I will never write something like this again, but mark my words, I guarantee that what I have already provided was more than sufficient.🤣

Kajlat can be handled by any amateur, which I demonstrated quite clearly with the post I deleted immediately afterward. 🥳
Maintaining self-control and engaging in civilized discussion is a significantly more difficult discipline, and it certainly does not come without a price.😉

hahaha, those are my favorites, people write some provocative post and then just wipe it out, then they try to peek "around the corner" to see if their target even noticed, oh man 😁
I guess it doesn't occur to everyone though

Self-control and civilized discussion are much harder disciplines to master, and they certainly don't come cheap. 😉

Yeah, that's true, you need actual discipline so you don't end up showing everyone how easy it is for any amateur to act out... referring to the comment above 🙄

hiddenhound3 said:I am of the belief that nearly everyone has encountered this particular pattern of behavior at some point in their lives.
I am currently dealing with a specific woman on this forum who possesses an incredibly short fuse, a caustic tongue, and a deeply unpleasant disposition—traits she seemingly wears as a badge of honor. I have noticed her tracking my activity; she reads my posts and then migrates to the very threads I am participating in, where she pretends to speak generally while actually discussing me in the third person. She attempts to use opinions I expressed in entirely unrelated discussions to disqualify me from debates, mocking and trivializing my points. It is, quite frankly, the ultimate expression of malice, perfidy, and cowardice.
There is something inherently pathological and twisted about this kind of stalking and sabotage, as if these individuals lack sufficient excitement in their own lives and must manufacture conflict through intentional provocation. I cannot say 🤷 I haven't clashed with many people on this platform myself, but I feel absolutely no compulsion to stalk them, monitor their presence across different threads, or scrutinize their every word.

I don't know about you, but you're doing it under the guise of "official duty"; personally, I've experienced your little habit of monitoring posts under the pretense of being a moderator 🤷
and, of course, those totally unjustified "attacks."

Don't go thinking you're all saintly and sinless—and you too, it's pretty damn easy to talk about others like this, isn't it?

Yeah, I’m mostly with everyone else on this thread—these little cliques are always running the show. Honestly, if you want to avoid getting screwed over, you basically have to play the part of the clueless newbie first. You spend all this time sucking up to them, kissing their feet, signing their posts, telling them how brilliant they are... and then, maybe after you've finally established some kind of status, you might actually be allowed to quote someone and disagree with them. But even then? You still have to nod along partially, because if you don't, you're suddenly the asshole.
I hate this crap☕

Of course you hate it; who actually likes being a suck-up?

I'm not without my flaws, but I know when being open or honest is misplaced. (At least, that's my take.) Luckily, I'm not easy to read, since I tend to lean on irony and various metaphors—again, in my opinion. But if I miss the mark, I own it, no questions asked.

🤣 I am brutally honest, just like everything else you've written. That is simply a core part of my character. 😁 However, some people just can't handle my level of sincerity, so occasionally, I hold back. 😉

Ehh, but saying "sorry" actually carries weight; it isn't just empty words. Trust ethics and morality, if you aren't going to trust God. (Just teasing a little).

I don't see much point in apologies, nor do I particularly enjoy being coddled. Just admit you messed up and move on. 🙂

I'm not one to praise those close to me, but what can I say when we're on the same wavelength? 😍 What you wrote is the whole point. 😉 (There, I'm giving you a wink—you know I love a good wink. 🤣)

Okay, look, the emphasis was on wasted effort and writing off what you put in.

If you give... you give. Whether it's wasted or worth it is one thing, 🤷but
writing off an investment is just basic math or something... it's not about human relationships.

And as for things breaking you—yeah, they can, and sometimes it's permanent.
But you can also minimize the damage, and you definitely can.
I personally think you shouldn't be nitpicking in a relationship, constantly tallying up what you owe or what's owed to you, trying to balance the books so every single moment you "invested" lands perfectly and gets "returned."

You just feel so much more than what any calculation could ever account for.🙂

Actually, to counter your point, even Pelín said he probably had to go through that whole miserable ordeal just to finally meet a girl who is actually awesome.

True, I guess we all have to deal with stuff like that eventually.

something similar
I don't recall the movie clearly enough, but using the rabbit as a metaphor works perfectly... when you want to pull a dirty stunt on someone or get revenge, you don't attack them head-on; instead, you target someone close to them because that hits way harder, triggering pure horror and showing just how far you're willing to go

By "someone close," I don't mean a pet, I mean kids, family... infiltration
At least, that's how I took it....

It's that whole twisted revenge motive that keeps popping up; in this instance, it's the family... in another case, it would be someone else

All that matters is that they are close to the person seeking vengeance and... then the nightmare begins

How do you defend yourself? There's always a way.

A grounded, realistic person would have objectively accepted the fact that he didn't need her as a lover anymore and just exited his life. But no, she wasn't interested in doing what was best for him (which is the essence of love)... she just wanted to vent her internal frustrations as a rejected woman by dreaming up, planning, and executing something malicious. She wanted to hurt him through others...

Personally, I don't think it has anything to do with (blind) love either
because even that feeling doesn't lead to pathological revenge under normal circumstances
this is primarily a sick mental state; Glenn is just a "crazy bitch" (look at her, a blonde 😲 )

being in love is just a distorted perception of reality. It's accepting whatever fits your own preconceived notions of what love should look like.

falling in love is more than just self-delusion, at least that's how I'm reading this if I haven't totally missed the point...
it's basically the waiting room for actual love
or maybe not.
...as simple as that

she just couldn't bridge the gap between her feelings and reality. A sane person would have looked at the situation objectively, accepted that he doesn't need her as a mistress anymore, and walked away from his life. But instead, she wasn't actually looking out for his best interests (which is what love is all about), she was just trying to soothe her own ego after being rejected.

I think the essence of love is "what's good for both," not just one person in a relationship, regardless of who they are

by imagining, planning, and executing harm. Trying to hurt him through other people.

Exactly, that's the whole point 👍
I love it when people realize that hurting others isn't okay, even if you're doing it under the guise of retaliation
you should deal with your own frustrations internally, but honestly, that’s only possible for people who truly loved someone (or were actually in love) and still have their wits about them

if you can't handle it privately, then maybe be upfront about it—assuming you have the guts to face things rather than playing games. I've always had zero patience for cheap provocateurs and those who just lash out at people to sting them; I guess I became immune to that nonsense after my first heartbreak, and now I just see it coming from a mile away😁

Sean Cruz said:I see that, but I also notice that people who can't have children tend to bond more deeply with pets. Then there are those who love animals but find it unthinkable to keep a pet confined indoors. I even see people abandoning children, abandoning pets... I observe all sorts of things, but in my value system, a love for a child simply cannot be compared to a love for animals.

Well, he isn't stuck in a cage; he runs wild around the house, and we actually take him out to the meadow for walks. Honestly, I think his life is pretty much what he imagined when he was desperately trying to escape his box at Petco. That's when I noticed him and bought him without any prior planning. He was special and different, clearly driven by a desire for freedom. Though, how much can we really talk about freedom within the constraints of material existence? In a way, he’s freer than I am because he doesn't have to worry about his own survival. Of course, he pays for that sometimes by being stubborn when we pick him up, which he hates. Dammit, we need some level of satisfaction too; we don't want to be mere victims.😍

When I compare that to my friend who keeps her cats locked inside just so nothing happens to them (and she's not the only one)... damn, her love is selfish. It's not about their needs.

This is moving into philosophy territory, and we've drifted quite far off-topic.
That would apply more to setting boundaries to protect your own freedom, but breathing down someone's neck is a total nightmare. Basically, certain types of people teach us that sacrificing our own liberty just to soothe a sick person's excessive psychological needs leads to absolute chaos.

That wasn't my point. I'm not looking to protect my own freedom; rather, I intend to set limits within my own freedom so that I don't hurt my partner. Surveillance, imposition, stalking, and things like that are completely absurd to me. Someone who wants to be with you will be, if they want to. If they don't, there is no way to force them. This is where I emphasize the importance of pride—you shouldn't trample over yourself for someone who treats you like a doormat. For someone who is worth it and respects you, primarily as a person, you'd walk through glass for them.
And everyone sets boundaries on their freedom for the sake of the other party, provided they respect and love the person they are with. You don't even necessarily have to love the person you're with, but mutual respect is essential for a "normal" relationship. Where those boundaries lie is something people can figure out for themselves from one relationship to the next, as there are no universal rules. It doesn't mean you and I have the same criteria regarding this matter—it's highly likely we don't.😁
It’s a fantastic read—witty, brutal, and only about 60 pages long. You can easily find a digital copy online. A dear friend from the Philosophy board actually recommended it to me.
I just downloaded it, but at first glance, it looks like one of those self-help books. Is that the vibe? I have a massive allergy to that kind of literature.

You hit the nail on the head, girl. You know I hate singing the praises of my inner circle, but this is spot on 🙏
setting boundaries on your own freedom, consciously and rationally, without regret... but only for the person who actually deserves that level of devotion

Drew Morgan said:Trying to discipline my rabbit is a lost cause; the more I try to impose order, the more he rebels, plots, and executes his little schemes. It’s like trying to teach a drill sergeant how to relax. I finally realized I just have to accept him for exactly who he is—flaws and all—without trying to cage his terrible personality. Honestly, he’s the only person I’ve ever truly connected with on that level. It's fascinating, really. I've come to realize that those expensive things he trashed—my designer wool coat, high-end sandals, the custom furniture—matter far less than the connection itself.

Ehm, yeah, since we're talking about being blinded by infatuation and bringing up rabbits, 😲hang in there, Drew Morgan, you're dear to me, just make sure yours doesn't end up like this one, though I'd say obsession really crushed him

Wow, you guys have covered a lot of ground here. I don't think love is blind, actually; I agree with you there
you just occasionally squint with one eye, or maybe both
Sure, you're squinting, but you still catch a glimpse through the gaps, and that’s what love is, you know... it's allowing the other person to be themselves, completely unfiltered, because that's exactly who they were when you first fell for them after all those long walks and winding roads (ugh, so dramatic, I could go on but I won't 🙄)

See, that's the difference between infatuation and love... the first one avoids obstacles, while the second one refuses to look past a double standard

Well, since you were all reminiscing about those sweet, infatuated days, it's nice to wake up the next morning and still appreciate that feeling and that person, even if it hasn't turned into a lifelong
choice... it's just a moment in time, and time eventually brings everything together so the pieces fit

Not "fit together,"
but rather "align" (like solving a puzzle, not lying)

Yeah, I guess that was that. 🙂

Who? Was that you who posted that?
If you were talking to me, look, I have zero intention of hurting myself. Seeing that jump without a parachute just brought back memories of that old radio show—I know Kušec hosted more after that one, but this specific program was always special to me. Those kids were absolutely legendary with their takes back then, and honestly, they still are.
