slyskipper4 said:Thanks... you've been incredibly helpful!🙂 Though, now that I think about it, 10 ounces feels a bit light... that's basically just the weight of a standard chocolate bar🙄 And then there's the fact that some pastries are heavier while others are much lighter...😍

But you kind of have to go with an average—half your guests probably won't touch a single dessert, while half the rest might grab one small bite, and there are very few people who are going to polish off a whole 7-ounce serving, right?
Personally, though, I’m always with the "better to have leftovers" crowd than to run out mid-party...
Sean Fox said:I totally get you.... I don't have to stay in bed and I handle everything pretty well, so I guess it's normal for me to drive too....
plus I have an automatic😉
bless my heart😍

As for me, the clutch is just killing me—my groin actually aches from all the pressing🙂
In the beginning, I could manage it better, but now I can only handle short trips, and that’s about it
I feel pretty miserable because I absolutely hate being dependent on someone else

Jerry Bailey47 said:The hypochondriac pregnant women on this forum drive me absolutely insane—they’re paranoid about every possible ailment, real or imagined, and they spend their entire day spreading that anxiety to everyone else. 🙂

Peter Adams58 said:Oh man, she found me 😂 😂

I guess this was definitely meant for me 🙂 🙂

Where did you come from? You beat me to it😂

Walter Martinez2 said:I'm really curious to know which pastries are actually worth the price $33/lb. I don't believe that a higher price tag always guarantees better quality. My cake for a 70-person event cost $217 and everyone loved it. Plus, my aunt—who is basically like a second mother to me—made some desserts, and I just ordered 4 lbs of creamy ones... they were a huge hit too. So... ☕

They're worth it if they aren't loaded with margarine, artificial creams, or those weird plant-based whipped toppings ☕...

Personally, Meli doesn't cut it for me anymore—maybe they were good six or seven years ago, but today? Not so much...

Walter Martinez2 said:Following your logic, people could also claim they ate terrible desserts at the Mayan wedding at a certain restaurant. They might not even mention the specific treats or realize where they were ordered from—just like with my situation. Those guests were family and friends, and I doubt anyone would start talking trash about me or the hotel if that actually happened.

Keep doubting if you want to 🙂

I just love these geniuses who are always spinning some elaborate tale while the rest of us, actually doing the work on the ground, end up looking like total idiots...
And then they just suddenly turn their sights on my 😂

Hey ladies, if you’ve got a license—why wouldn't you get behind the wheel?

If only it were that easy for me... 🙂
Here’s another little slice of life 🙂
My nephew—who hasn't visited in about 15 years—was chatting with my sister (his mom) earlier, and he actually told me how great I look... mentioned that I haven't put on any weight and that I look just right—kind of like those glowing moms you see on TV commercials

😍

I guess Google thought everyone was expecting me to just be a total wreck🤣

I know your blood pressure was hitting 160, but honestly, I can’t stop laughing at this.
It totally takes me back to something that happened just two weeks ago. I dropped by my aunt's place, and her mother-in-law immediately starts hovering on the balcony—just watching everything. She begins grilling me about all sorts of things, and then she drops this: "So, you're carrying a boy, huh? Well, usually boys make women look more beautiful, but I wouldn't say that applies to you." First, I was just stunned—completely speechless—and then I just lost it and started cracking up. 😂

Did the little one make an appearance?
Any news on the delivery?
Is the baby here?

Michael King said:Am I really the only one out there with a totally normal mother-in-law? And to make things even more interesting, we actually live under the same roof—we’re upstairs, and they’re on the ground floor.

I suppose I should just thank God for that luck.😁

I’m in the same boat myself
At least for now—don't want to jinx it by saying it out loud too soon 😉

Lawrence Booth2 said:I use Fact ointment
Someone gave me some advice on here a few years back
walking, resting, and using Fact ointment really helps

It’s all very individual—for me, Fact doesn't seem to do a thing at all...

My sister has actually been using it for over 20 years, and she swears the stuff they sell today isn't even half as good as what they used to make—she says the formula is completely different now... 🤷

fadedtrucker12, that whole thing with the ice is usually the very first trick anyone tries once they start dealing with them...
Personally, I just wrap an ice cube in a small towel and hold it there until it melts—usually takes about half an hour—which is right around the time the pain starts really kicking in...

As soon as I have the baby, I'm heading straight to the doctor to figure out which method we should use to get rid of them...

Ah... that's always how it goes for me. I live in a tiny town and end up wanting something that girls living in Washington, D.C. or other major cities take for granted—you know, things that are just totally normal for them... 😢

I'm not sure where you're located, but almost all the women on this thread definitely do this kind of work—if you'd just say which part of the country you're in, I'm certain someone will reach out to you!
And honestly, people can be so incredibly dense—it’s just frustrating when they refuse to see the obvious
I say, just tune them out and stop letting it get under your skin... it's really not worth the energy 😉

The most bittersweet moment for me was when they told me we couldn't have children
Poor souls... they were absolutely at a loss, just wandering aimlessly without a clue what to do with themselves 😂
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
You see, for me, it’s just a constant struggle with this joint pain 😁
Voltaren Rapid helps a bit when things are manageable—but once it hits its peak, I have to switch to Ketonal Retard, though honestly, that stuff just leaves me feeling completely wiped out...
Hemorrhoids 🙂
Not again 🙂

Regarding the whole idea of waiting until after the baby arrives to go shopping—well, some of my mom’s friends actually took that advice to heart...

And then one dad mentioned it to my husband—he was basically saying, "Man, just get everything you need beforehand. Trying to run all over town with a stroller in tow is enough to drive anyone insane. Between the wife being stressed out and me losing my mind because we can't find the specific model she wants or even the right color... just don't put yourself through that nightmare."

😂
Angela Reed5 said:I’ve been following this thread, and if I can offer one bit of advice based on my own experience: you haven't heard anything yet until the baby actually arrives. From those early trips to the pediatrician—the kind we never had to deal with ourselves, so people think our kids shouldn't have to either—to breastfeeding, starting solids, and the endless cycle of discipline and chaos... honestly, all of that was far more exhausting than any unsolicited pregnancy advice.

I really feel like the hardest part hasn't even happened yet
And that's exactly what scares me...
I might just need to go get myself a 🙂 somewhere
I'm expecting to get a little something—at least a small gift—from my godmother, though since she ended up having a little girl, it might just be some cute little baby gear...
It’s funny because the dates actually line up perfectly within the same month, so if I were bringing my daughter along, she would have walked away with a huge haul of absolutely gorgeous stuff😢
🙂

Honestly, human stupidity knows no bounds—are you seriously suggesting she should just lock herself away at home now because she received all those gifts? Good grief...
It isn't like she went out and ordered a bunch of baby gear just so she could have extra cash for a spa getaway—she was given things by people who simply wanted to be kind, plain and simple.
Thank goodness she actually had people willing to help her out when it mattered.
