Go on, give us a bit more of the story... how did you end up drifting into this kind of isolation? Where is your old high school crowd now? Did you even have much of a social circle back then, or have you been navigating this solitude for quite some time already?

Man, my digestion has been a total mess lately... though honestly, I don't think it’s actually messing with my vibe too much on the outside.
Honestly, the signal is just so hit-or-miss everywhere I go that I don't even feel comfortable heading out anymore.

It all just kind of happened at once... everything hit me all at the same time.

Back in high school, our whole crew used to hang out constantly, but man, it was a slow fade... little by little, people just started dropping out of the circle until everyone eventually drifted off to their own separate corners. There were about ten of us left at the end of the day, all from the exact same class.

I find a weird kind of peace in realizing the universe is basically just one big closed loop where every single action triggers an equal reaction...

there’s no such thing as a free lunch either... because everything eventually comes due.
if you take something from somewhere else... yeah, life finds a way to settle the score on the flip side.
obviously—it won't happen overnight. but it happens.

I’ve actually started paying way more attention to my own ratio of positive versus negative vibes lately.
but I’m not really gonna dive into the specifics of that right now...

The real question is, what happens when there’s zero action—neither good nor bad?
that's when everything just hits a standstill...

...just waiting for some kind of spark to get the wheels turning again.

For those of you actually living with schizophrenia, how would you even put this illness into words?

Like, just yesterday I found myself having a full-on conversation out loud with another version of myself.
Is that a sign of things getting worse? 😁

Jerry Martinez5 said:Fine.

So why on earth would anyone bother caring about you?

Why should anyone give a damn?

I’m being serious here.

so basically
your whole logic is that if I don't go out of my way to look after someone => then nobody should bother looking after me?

..okay, let's say we haven't exactly nailed down a specific definition for what "caring" actually means here...

but man, that implies that when someone is in a bind => yeah, I'll help them as much as I know how and as much as I possibly can.

as for whether I'd want someone to care for me or look out for me... well, I'll have to sit with that thought for a minute.

Jerry Martinez5 said:Maybe the real issue is that you don't actually find any of those people interesting either?

Personally, I have zero interest in hanging out with anyone who doesn't care about me. I call people leeches—those who only want to be around me because they need an audience, without actually thinking I'm special or even worth their time. I just run the other way, or make it crystal clear that they should stay away from me.😠

honestly, I think every single person is interesting in their own unique way.
and I can hold a conversation with pretty much anyone, and I really try to make sure things stay engaging. 🙂
How does society react to a suicide attempt? in Psychology ·
Honestly, if I actually tried to end it all, people would probably just distance themselves even more...

Look, I get it, fine—it’s my fault, I’m the problem here.

But it really sucks when you realize that despite everything, none of the people I used to hang out with actually find me interesting enough to keep around.

And the worst part? I always made such an effort to be there for everyone, you know? I was always the guy with time to spare whenever anyone needed a hand... but now that I don't have anything specific to offer, nobody seems to need me or even bother calling anymore.

It's weird.

Jerry Martinez5 said:mistyseal11, what exactly are you expecting from us?

Who do you actually love? Who do you care about? In the last three months, who have you actually brightened up? Maybe you made an acquaintance laugh when they were having a rough time, or helped an elderly lady cross the street, or stopped to chat with a neighbor recovering from surgery to wish them a Happy New Year?

Is there even one single human being on this planet you actually give a damn about? When was the last time you reached out to them, or did something decent for them?

Arthur Morgan23 just said that Facebook is basically the easiest way to reconnect with people. A bunch of dear friends, or even those you’ve neglected, would probably be thrilled if you just called them for a coffee. You don't seem to need that. So, what is it you actually need?

So, here’s my two cents on this whole mess, if you really want to know what I'm thinking about everything going down.

I honestly can't stand those damn hitchhikers—they're just looking for a free ride and a way to mess with people who are actually trying to get somewhere. It’s such a headache.

Look, from where I'm sitting, you seem like a spoiled brat who probably has mommy tucking him in at night while everyone else handles his life. In your world, nobody is ever at fault but everyone else. You were fine with it at first, but now you're just exploiting the situation. For instance, Quentin Tarantino just had a character get tossed through a window by Steven Seagal, cracking his skull on a fence. What do you think happened to that guy? Pretty sure he's having a worse day than you are. Here’s my advice: go find some New Age healer or a bioenergetic specialist—not some rocker or punk, but an actual mystic. Tell them your story; they might actually help since you claim hospitals failed you. But you won't do that, will you? It's easier to stay like this because you love the attention. Let's be real: you aren't going to kill yourself, and neither am I, unless tomorrow I get a brand new TV and then suddenly watch The Karate Kid again. Anyway, hope that helps.

yeah, okay, so maybe all I want is some attention by talking big and making a scene, but I have zero intention of actually checking out, I just don't have the stones for it.

(unless something goes sideways and I end up "getting tossed over the fence" haha)

Arthur Morgan23 said:Sarcasm is just a way of talking.

Yeah, sure, but I'm pretty sure that kind of talk usually ends up being entertaining for everyone else reading along.

I mean, why else would anyone even bother talking like that?
Is it just to make someone feel better, or to make them feel worse?

Since you're out here claiming it's not supposed to be funny...
- then why on earth do you want people to feel crappy?
Sophia King42 said:No—that’s distinct from matter. You're mistaken. The UI is garbage. It’s clunky, unintuitive, and frankly, an insult to anyone actually trying to use it. Fix it. No shape. Just how God originally made you—before anyone tried to give you a persona. That’s the true core of our being. Honestly, I wish you could all just plug into my consciousness when I hit that state. Then you might actually see the gold and the endless ocean of pure bliss.🙂 Forget explaining the phenomenon. When it hits, I’m a new man for three or four hours. Everything feels heightened—even resting feels different. Then the battery runs dry. I’m back to reality: the grind, college, work, dating, all of it. It’s fine when it happens, naturally; I’m a good person and I value being good. I feel decent on a material level and even spiritually, I suppose. But it doesn't come close to how it feels during those few hours.😉🙂

🙂 It’s a completely different world than the one we live in. Take this for example:
When I wake up from that half-dream state—that endless, overwhelming beauty—everything shifts for about an hour. The colors hit harder. The image is sharper. I feel more centered, more connected to everything around me and to myself. I actually enjoy walking, looking at the trees, just being present. Then, inevitably, I sink back into the routine: work, college, the gym, social life, dating, hobbies. It all fades away. Mysteriously.
I have just one question.

Why?

It exists. Look into Freud’s work on lucid dreaming, find some astral projection tutorials, or check out the Lucid Institute—they have specific exercises and everything.
What you mentioned is essentially what I'm talking about here. We just differ on the nuances—perhaps just in how it's explained.🙂

Thanks a million!!!

I'm gonna give this thing a shot today, so I'll hit you guys up later and let you know how it actually feels! 🙂
