Laptop won't recognize phone in IT Support ·
Nathan Ramos said:What exactly do you mean when you say "cleaned up"?

I suspect the issue isn't actually the drivers, though you might want to head over to the official HP website just to download the latest versions...

So, here’s my take on those suggestions you threw my way:

Nathan Ramos said:If I were in your shoes, my first move would be to give it a thorough cleaning... there’s usually some grit or dust hiding in those lower chassis seams.

By the way... what kind of laptop are we dealing with here?
Laptop won't recognize phone in IT Support ·
It’s all cleaned up and looking sharp, but I’ve been running into this one little glitch over the last few days..
The laptop is some kind of Dell Inspiron 15
Everything was working perfectly fine until now...
Laptop won't recognize phone in IT Support ·
So I asked around, and they’re telling me I probably accidentally bumped some setting—I mean, honestly, how does one even do that? But anyway, apparently now I need to go grab a USB driver. I have zero clue how to actually do that... could someone please help a girl out?
Laptop won't recognize phone in IT Support ·
...basically, I can't get my phone to charge through my laptop. This whole mess started a few days ago. When I plug the phone in, I hear the usual notification sound, but nothing else happens—no pop-up, no window, nothing. It’s weird because my USB flash drive works just fine when I plug it in.
The thumb drive shows up, sure, but the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon is totally unresponsive to clicks, so I’ve just been yanking the drive out without ejecting it properly. It hasn't caused any issues yet, but honestly, if there's some underlying hardware glitch, I'd be terrified of losing data—I've got some pretty important files sitting on there.
Where do I even start troubleshooting this?
To make matters worse, the phone doesn't even show up in My Computer.

🙄

Look, it’s really not that much—you can see that for yourself if you just look at it. Honestly, if you compare it to the fat content in non-fat milk, you'll get exactly what I mean... I don't think any single food out there is ever going to be "perfect," you know? Like, finding something that hits that sweet spot of 0% fat, 30g of protein, and only 10g of carbs per 100g is basically impossible. That's the whole reason we play around with different food combinations in the first place—to make sure we're actually getting everything our bodies need while still keeping things healthy.
Man, finally... summer is actually here! Now we can finally get some decent produce—plenty of zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, and basically every kind of fruit and veggie you can think of. Plus, more seafood, long walks, hitting the pool... honestly, it’s pure bliss. I wish it could just stay like this forever.

brightotter21 said:Omg, I see people talking about low-fat cheese again... mmmmmm, I seriously love it—sometimes I'll polish off like half a pound in a single day! I usually grab the stuff that's only 76 calories per 100g...

But now, let me ask you guys about this other cheese I went out and bought—and now what? I can't just toss it, I have to eat it, but it's got 105 calories per 100g.... So, the big question is, how much am I actually allowed to eat daily??? Definitely not as much as that 76-calorie one, right?? :/

Honestly, you should probably look at the fat percentage instead... calories go up and down, but it's the fat that really packs on the weight..
Besides, 105 calories per 100g of cheese isn't even that bad..

I can pull an all-nighter studying without even blinking, totally wired. I know, I know, it’s basically liquid junk, but hey, when you're drowning in deadlines, you do what you gotta do to stay afloat...

Honestly, for me, it's just Vitamin C tablets that keep me going. Just the standard ones you grab at the drugstore in those little foil packs... If I pop one in the morning, it settles my blood pressure and keeps me sharper than a cup of coffee ever could. Plus, if I take one too late, I'm wide awake all night—though, full disclosure, I actually love my coffee, it's my little ritual...☕ Maybe give the Vitamin C a shot? At least it feels a bit healthier than the energy drinks...

I mean, sure, the old lady should have minded her own business, but still. You don't just go ruining a kid's confidence right out of the gate. 🙄

Man, I did the exact same thing once with some people close to me—just mentioned that the little girl seemed a bit heavy for her age. Seriously, she’s like lead; you can barely pick her up! And then they turn around and tell me, "Oh, she doesn't eat anything..." except... well, they proceed to list every single piece of junk food in the local Walmart... It was one time she had an orange when she was 4, and they were acting all shocked, like, "Oh my god, she's eating fruit for the first time!" Like, excuse me? She hates fruit unless it's in a pudding cup or a sugary soda... I don't get it, do they think fruit pudding counts as actual fruit?? And don't even get me started when they tell me she won't touch veggies or fruit, she just wants more soda and snack cakes... how on earth was a baby knowing what she liked at six months old if you weren't letting her have it, for crying out loud!! It's way easier to just shovel junk into a kid than actually parent them.... Oh, and get this—one neighbor was dead set on convincing me that cereals are the best thing for kids, so she'd regularly buy up all the Cheetos, chips, and processed snacks, and then she'd mock *me* for "tormenting" the kids by giving them oatmeal in their soup or milk... She gained 65 pounds during her pregnancy while I only put on about 30, and she actually had the nerve to call me cheap because I wouldn't buy her kid a Kinder Egg..??
Traffic violation procedures in Criminal and Misdemeanor Law ·
So, I just got hit with a notice from the police today—apparently, back on November 27th at some random hour, a camera caught my car cruising down 49 miles/h in a 30 mph zone. Look, I’m not even trying to argue if I was speeding or not, but we’re talking about six and a half months later... seriously? Who even remembers what they were doing half a year ago? Plus, now I have to turn in driver info for whoever was behind the wheel. Honestly, it probably wasn't even me—more likely one of my sons—but whatever. Anyway, what’s the move here? Does anyone know if it’s better to just pay the fine and laugh it off, or should I file an objection and make things difficult? And, just thinking out loud, if I decide not to pay, what kind of community service actually counts as "useful" work? (To be clear: I don't want to pay if I don't have to, especially since I wasn't the one driving, and I can't exactly expect my boys to cough up the cash since they're full-time students... though I do want them to face the music legally). Any lawyers out there have advice on how to draft an objection, or is it better to just head straight to the District Court? 🤷

Look, we're talking about EXTREME scenarios here...
Honestly guys, just drink your 2 liters of water DAILY and you'll be totally fine...
..1.. don't go chugging it every single hour..
2. Or, you know, just go pee when you gotta go—don't try to hold it in...
3. And most importantly: skip the EX, then you won't even have to worry about overdoing the water intake every sixty minutes.
..thanks

Don't go trying to scare us with all this water talk because those extreme cases—well, they’re just... extreme! It’s not like that happens to us regular "water-drinkers." I mean, I knock back about 2 liters of water on an average day, and even when I overdo it and drink more than that, I’m still perfectly fine... honestly, I just don't feel like it sometimes, you know? It gets a bit boring after a while, so what am I supposed to do?

Walter Fowler6 said:I've been feeling pretty swollen lately. I honestly think my body is just holding onto way too much water.
I'm drinking about 2 liters of water a day, maybe two coffees tops, eating healthy, running regularly—it's not like I'm struggling with weight or high blood pressure, and it definitely isn't PMS...

Could this be caused by some kind of vitamin deficiency?

Keep up with the water intake but try cutting out the salt... seriously, ditch anything salty because sodium is notorious for making you retain fluid... and honestly, you should probably get your kidneys checked out too... though, I have a feeling even your bladder would be acting up if the kidneys were the culprit here. Look, sometimes the body holds onto water simply because it feels like it needs more 😁... just keep drinking that water...
Best teas for reducing water retention? in Health ·
Look, they’ve already given you the standard advice—listen to your doctor first and foremost... But honestly? Water is kind of a paradox because it actually helps flush out all that extra retained fluid. Plus, there are plenty of other reasons why hitting that 2L daily mark is a game changer, so... if you're really dead set on sticking to teas, maybe try some dandelion or elm bark, or even rosemary... You can find just about any herbal blend at a local CVS or a specialty health shop, so just head in and ask the folks behind the counter for recommendations...

Now let's just cross our fingers for an answer! 🙂

For now, you should definitely keep up with your workouts while you wait for that whole pregnancy phase to kick in—it’ll help strengthen those abs and all the other muscles you're gonna need when it's go-time during delivery... So, once you actually get pregnant, you'll head straight to your OB-GYN to confirm everything, and based on those checkups, they'll let you know how things are looking. Like, whether everything is totally fine or if you need to take it easy. I don't say that to freak anyone out, honestly—it's more about staying proactive and keeping your body ready.
Basically, just keep moving for now, and once you're actually pregnant, you'll find out firsthand what your specific situation looks like... 👍

So far, just some orbital shots and walking around—assuming this stupid rain finally decides to quit it.

That Orbit Rekom plan looks solid... just make sure you’re doing it strictly on an empty stomach—you know, like, before that first cup of coffee or anything else—and then hit up a mandatory breakfast right after. For the rest of the day, stick to fruits, veggies, and white meat. Just stay far away from bread, pasta, rice, or potatoes... none of that stuff!
Nothing sweet in sight... seriously.

Can I lose 5 kg in 2 months? 😁

😍 man,
You can totally drop 5 kg in 2 months without even trying a strict diet or hitting up a gym... honestly, just walking at a brisk pace—not running, mind you—for about an hour on an empty stomach is plenty (maybe start with 40 mins for the first few days) and you're golden... after that, just stick to some oatmeal with a bit of yogurt for breakfast, and during the day, eat whatever you want as long as you skip the cookies and sweets. Drink 2 liters of water and just watch... it’s a breeze... your husband will fall in love with you all over again, plus you already gave him a grandson... seriously, dude, you're living the dream!!! 👍 I mean, doing it on an empty stomach doesn't have to mean waking up at 5 AM... just head out once you've finished the first morning feeding (you know, the bottle or Enfamil routine), get the baby changed, and hit the road... if the little one won't let you go alone, just take them along—a quick 30-minute stroll in the stroller should do the trick... it's good for both of you. When I had my kids, I used to do it right in the house: jumping rope for 30 minutes, then working out... basically whenever they were napping since I didn't have anyone to watch them... and I just cut out all the junk food snacks... within a month, I was looking radiant... 🙂 ah, but that was ages ago... these days, it feels way harder...

I feel pretty amazing, honestly, aside from being up about 10 or 12 pounds...
...but I guess the real question is, am I actually allowed to jump back in?

Huge congrats on the little one! Though, you didn't even tell us if it was a boy or a girl...😍 As for working out—go for it! You’ve got a trainer at the gym anyway, so just pick their brain and ask exactly what they recommend for where you're at right now.... And honestly, once the weather starts getting nice, you'll realize how much you need it. There's nothing like those early morning errands with the stroller, getting some fresh air, and then hitting up a cute little sidewalk cafe for a coffee while the baby naps... pure bliss... image

Dieting, starvation... in Health ·
Honestly, I’ve fallen into that classic trap where every single time I finished a diet, I ended up heavier than when I started... like, after losing maybe 10 or 15 pounds, I’d end up needing to lose way more just to get back to baseline. It’s because those "prescribed" meal plans usually tell me to eat way more than I actually would on my own—it totally throws my rhythm off. And don't even get me started on that whole "anti-diet" thing—you know, what people around here incorrectly call the UN diet? That thing absolutely killed the joy of eating for me. Just boring, boring, boring... I mean, major props to anyone who actually saw their bloodwork improve or felt better physically because of it—I’m genuinely happy for them—but it just wasn't my luck, and I can't say I'm a fan. Out of all those different "regimes," if you can even call them that, the only one that actually gave me some solid guidelines was South Beach. To me, it feels most like a sustainable lifestyle we should be following regardless of whether we're actively dieting or not... so, like Angela Wright says, just eat what's available at home, stick to seasonal stuff, watch your portions, and just... go from there.
