The "successor" curse is real in Fans ·
I feel like every time a new manager takes over a team with a specific identity, they just end up breaking everything that actually worked. It's such a massive gamble to try and replicate someone else's specific blueprint. Do you think it's even possible to maintain that kind of momentum when the leadership changes?

So, you're a fortune teller and a supplement expert now? ☕

steelskipper9 said:Some psychiatrists and psychotherapists are atheists, while others are believers—and they naturally react according to their own worldview and ideology. Consequently, they often hand out diagnoses based solely on how they perceive things.
If schizophrenia typically manifests around age 23 or 26, depending on gender, it’s hardly a surprise that some psychoses are religious in nature—since this is the stage of life where people are searching for themselves as spiritual beings. Of course, not everyone goes down that route; some might mistakenly think they are Mary Magdalene, while others might think they are a Hollywood celebrity.
If you possess true spiritual intelligence, you will remain a spiritual being regardless of the illness. The illness is merely a path, never the destination.
We are shaped by our experiences—and that includes being shaped, in part, by our struggles.
Through illness, we can actually grow and mature—sometimes even more deeply than those who haven't endured such intense and painful experiences.

Great post. I agree with everything here. 👍

Everyone heals at their own pace after a breakup—or in your case, walking away—but six years is an eternity. You’re stuck in a loop, living in the past, and honestly, that’s a massive red flag for depression. It's time to seek some professional help. Snap out of it, make a move, and start moving forward. Eventually, that ex will just become a ghost, like they never even existed in the first place.

Doesn't affect me, since I'm an atheist...

Honestly, getting an extra shot or two isn't really my biggest concern, but this particular role doesn't fall into one of those high-priority groups when it comes to the COVID vaccination requirements.

Diego, I don't get it. You speak with such clarity—your words flow so smoothly into perfectly logical sentences—so I have to wonder: how does your "schizophrenia" actually manifest? Are we talking about hallucinations, or what was the actual issue?
What I mean is, I would never have guessed you were unwell.
I've even seen you on YouTube, and you come across exactly the same way you write...
Sorry if that's too personal...

Harold Anderson3 said:Vitamins—especially when you're taking higher doses of B-complex—really can't hurt; if anything, they support healthy nerve function in the brain for everyone, whether you're feeling well or struggling. Personally, I take a multivitamin that’s pretty heavy on the B vitamins, though I don't take it strictly every single day, even though I know I could without any issues.
That said, it’s really just meant to supplement the "main" antipsychotic treatment plan.
Even though those heavier medications come with their fair share of side effects and can be tough on organs like the liver (not unlike how alcohol affects us), the benefits they provide are easily worth it.
As I mentioned before, I actually dropped my dose from 50mg down to 25mg over the last three days, and honestly, I've been feeling much more energetic and alert. Now, I'm planning to go back to my full 50mg dose in the evening.
On top of all that, something wonderful happened recently—I actually managed to land a job! 🙂

congratulate Diego! 🙂

Don't write off combat sports just yet. I didn't pick up boxing until I was 22 or 23, and honestly, it was a blast. I never actually intended to step into the ring—I mostly did it for the conditioning—but the point is, it’s never too late to start.
Regarding that other situation, you made the right call backing off from your friend and her boyfriend. You don't need that kind of unnecessary drama in your life.
Just hang in there while you finish school. By the time you're done, the post-pandemic chaos will have settled down, and you can get out into the workforce like everyone else. Once you've got a job, you can move out and hit the reset button. You're still young; you've got plenty of time to make things happen.

I'm only on one medication myself at the moment, though I was taking three for a while. Mental health struggles aren't exactly a walk in the park.

I don't think you should be cutting back on medication. Instead, focus on doing the actual work on yourself while staying on your prescription. The meds aren't the reason he’s struggling socially; they're just there. Telling someone to taper off their meds is incredibly dangerous advice.

It gets more manageable with age. It doesn't feel as paralyzing as it used to, but if there's an option to handle things via email, I'll take it every single time.
Phone calls still make me uneasy. I hate them, and I always have to mentally rehearse everything beforehand. If I can avoid it, I will. If I can't, I just get it over with.

I'm much more of an email person myself. I barely use my phone for anything other than texting; most of my actual calls are reserved for family or close friends. Anything beyond that triggers a bit of anxiety...

Man, this stuff makes my head feel like it's about to explode—it just leaves me feeling so incredibly irritable.
I haven't touched it in quite a while, but I took one pill today while I was hanging out at home and it’s been pure chaos. I honestly feel totally depersonalized right now.

Who actually prescribed that to you? For what diagnosis? From what I understand, that's pretty heavy-duty stuff they bring out when things are at their worst, though I'm not entirely sure which specific category it falls into or exactly what it's used for...
