Anyone else feeling completely unmotivated lately? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Sophia Ward57 said:It isn't supposed to, but don't they all have a sedative effect..?
Well, what else do you think is making you sleepy? Maybe try changing the timing of your medication. I take Vera before bed because it has that specific sedative quality. That way you get your rest, and you shouldn't be feeling drowsy again in the afternoon...
Wait, what exactly is your diagnosis?

I have OCD which wears me out—on a scale of 0 to 24, I'd say—but it doesn't make me feel listless. I think I'm depressed (unofficially), and the OCD meds actually keep me somewhat elevated because I'm on 300 mg of Fever, an antidepressant that won't let me sink too low. So I'm just... flat. Neither good nor bad...

Wait, you're taking three Fevarin pills a day? I tried Fevarin once and even a single dose felt like being strapped to a rocket; I can't imagine triple that without my heart giving out. Are you taking anything else?
Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
Rebecca Rivera3 said:CBD has been a total game-changer for all my health issues. Honestly, I was a huge skeptic at first and used to get annoyed whenever people kept bugging me to try it.

I started out with some well-known, tried-and-true Kanaway oil. It was decent. I noticed a subtle shift—more energy, less anxiety, things like that.

Then, a relative of mine gave me some flower that had a much higher CBD concentration. Apparently, the more CBD you have in it, the steeper the price tag. He sourced it privately from a guy named Slovenac.
I was still pretty resistant to the idea, but I didn't really have a choice once the muscle spasms in my legs started kicking in and getting worse after I stopped using the oil.
So, I decided to give the flower a shot... and for the first few days, I was still grumbling about why on earth I even needed this stuff.
Fast forward a month and a half, and I feel completely better. I know it’s actually working because I was such a skeptic that I couldn't even write it off as a placebo effect.

It’s just a shame that it's so expensive and that so many people can't afford to use it.
Everything online says that there aren't any side effects regardless of the dosage, and from what I've experienced, that is absolutely true.

Fair enough, but what specific issues were you dealing with? Psychiatrists usually advise against using oil if someone is dealing with psychosis or schizophrenia, since it can end up doing more harm than good. Did a doctor recommend this to you, or how did you end up going this route?
Work in D.C. or move back home and go to college? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Mind if you share which degree you're finishing up and what you're planning to major in next? We're working with pretty thin info here, and it's hard to give any useful advice without those details..
Hey everyone

Can anyone tell me what kind of cut USPS takes when you're sending money through the mail?

I have no idea why they haven't fixed this yet. Who is even in charge of maintaining this site?
Point Break (2015) in Movies ·
Casey Cox2 said:It was a mistake to tie this to Point Break from '91 and its characters. It would have worked better as a standalone flick or just lumped in with the xxx franchise.
Edgar Ramirez is great here, even if they overused him.
The only things I’d actually praise are the sound design—which makes sense for a movie like this😁—along with the locations and the stunt work.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw you post that. If this had just been released as its own thing without trying to link it back to the original Point Break, it probably would’ve landed much better. Besides, looking at the trailer, there isn't even that much in common with the original, at least not from what I remember. The movie definitely has some solid scenes, but I think that's about as good as it gets.
Thoughts on the 2015 Steve Jobs movie? in Movies ·
I started watching the movie and just gave up. Honestly, watching a neurotic Steve Jobs is exhausting, and I don't really care about his life story beyond the basic highlights we all already know.
Ted 2 (2015) in Movies ·
I just finished my first watch yesterday and dove straight into the sequel today. Honestly? Both were great. The whole concept behind Ted is brilliant, and I actually dig the edgy American humor—it fits his character perfectly. It was a blast.
Joy (2015) - David O. Russell in Movies ·
I watched it too. Some parts are interesting, but honestly, you could probably get the gist just by watching the trailer. It’s fine, but I wasn't exactly blown away. Not a bad movie, but definitely not a masterpiece.
Tusk (2014) in Movies ·
This was Smith's last movie, and honestly, it bombed at the US box office. It pulled in a measly $1.9 million against a $3 million budget. Reviews are pretty mixed—some good stuff here and there, but mostly negative, and it even got labeled one of the worst films of the year. Rotten Tomatoes is sitting at 5.4, and Metacritic gave it a 55. Looks like Smith is stuck in this slump that really started back with Cop Out, which happened to be on TV last night. Has anyone else caught this one yet? What’d you think?

First time I'm seeing this. How is it similar to that? And I don't get what people found in that video that made it go so viral.
Kevin Smith's Red State (2011) in Movies ·
Bumping this thread.
Was the movie actually misunderstood, or was it just bad?
It pulled in $1.84 million against a $4 million budget. If I remember correctly, Kevin Smith bought the rights and distributed it himself, which clearly didn't pan out.
