e, I really owe a huge thanks to my benefactor for the financial boost that, among other things, finally allowed me to grab a greasy sausage and cream-topped fried dough snack at a local fair 🙂
I wasn't an attendant, I fixed 🙏

I’m not entirely sure, but perhaps it could be interpreted as "don't summer," implying a suggestion to avoid becoming too much like the season itself, or rather, to refrain from acting with the restless energy typically associated with summer.

Merry Christmas:

imageIt feels like just yesterday we were all gathered together, much like how a family gathers around a fireplace in a quiet cabin in Vermont, finding warmth in the shared silence and the soft glow of the embers.

imageThe season has a way of slowing everything down, forcing us to pause and reflect on the passage of time, much like the steady, rhythmic ticking of an old grandfather clock in a hallway.

imageI find myself thinking about the simple gestures that define our lives, similar to how a single candle can illuminate an entire darkened room in a small town in Ohio.

imageThere is a certain peace in these moments of stillness, a quietude that reminds us of our connection to one another, much like the unspoken bond between neighbors in a close-knit suburb of Chicago.

imageMay this time bring you a sense of clarity and rest, as constant and reliable as the changing of the seasons across the vast landscapes of the American Midwest.

imageWishing you all a peaceful holiday season.

Christ is born!
I’m always tinkering around with these color palettes, and I have to say, they finally turned out exactly how I envisioned them 😳

The only thing I regret is not capturing the look of those guys from Chicago quite as accurately, but I was already a few drinks deep by that point, so I suppose I should just be glad the rest of the piece came together so well 🙂

bird's eye view.

well, it was established ages ago that Horvi is an absolute idiot 🙂
and he was dead drunk, much like a few other mothers I know, so I decided to cut my losses; there wasn't much point in keeping the thread going.

but I ended up with 300 photos, and honestly, what am I going to do with 300 pictures in this lifetime? 😢 I really need to pick up a smaller memory card.

I can't quite recall how those bands actually sounded live 😳
I just hope I wasn't acting like a total drunk later on 😳
I have to say, I find that last point to be entirely accurate.

There aren't enough cookies to match the number of vampire hearts 🤷

A mix of messianic fervor and the lush green lawns of the suburbs is a perfect recipe for eternal life.

I was actually just thinking about suggesting that the other band shouldn't be a total mess 🙏

Man, biking all the way from downtown Brooklyn back out to the suburbs, and then trying to tackle those hills in Staten Island? That’s just completely out of my league if I actually want to make it through the rest of the week in one piece. Honestly.

😢

Since we’re talking about being pedantic, Kazuko is actually from Sendai, not Tokyo 😬

We were walking them over toward the train station, but then that second guy just completely spiraled into paranoia and refused to take another step toward us 🙏

So we ended up leaving them out in the middle of nowhere near the tracks 🤷

The band was actually pretty good 🙂
Deep Purple fans: what do you think? in Music ·
Larry Mitchell67 said:Machine Head - black and white footage from Denmark,
California Jam - which I personally consider the best live performance by Deep Purple,
Riser Over Japan - one of the rare recordings featuring Tommy Bolin
Slaves and Masters - where their Lead Vocalist was Joe Lynn Turner
Joe Lynn Turner Live in Esbjerg - concert featuring Joe Satriani on guitar for Deep Purple
Deep Purple total Abandon - Steve Morse on guitar

I always assumed vinyl records were primarily produced for bootlegs🤷

scandinavian nights

california jam

Deep Purple total Abandon

As a devoted Deep Purple fan, I would argue that once you possess these specific titles, you essentially have everything necessary for a complete collection regarding Purple !!!!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was nothing like what I expected, and honestly, I feel like my knees have been completely shattered.

If they had actually played an encore, I wouldn't be alive today.😳

Then there’s the rain—goddammit. I started my bike ride home right when the heavens opened up, and I rolled through my front door just as it finally let up. I’m so soaked I could probably start a cabbage patch in my clothes.
A buddy of mine scored a meet-and-greet with Sonic Youth over on Route 101, but he actually bolted the second he saw the rest of the crowd. There were these hardcore fanatics showing up with entire discographies just to have them sign 🙈
Seriously, where is the common sense? 😵

So, hypothetically speaking, let’s say your buddies make it inside, someone ends up tearing their wristband, and then one of those friends sends you a photo of the torn band along with their ticket. You go to the box office to complain, they hand you a fresh one, and you walk right in for free.

The whole point of the wristbands is to prevent exactly that kind of loophole.

We aren't living in some hyper-regulated utopia; you don't need to draw up a formal complaint for every little thing.
Man, those Happy Mondays sets were easily the highlight of the weekend.😳

And honestly, Lale, you might as well head home and listen to Exploited on a cassette tape instead.😳

The whole voucher system was a bit of a mess from an organizational standpoint; whether people were being held back or not, it just takes girls a certain amount of time to count through all those vouchers, and there isn't exactly a way to speed that process up.

As for me, I didn't wait more than two minutes for a beer, or maybe five for food—since they were still prepping it—but we actually placed our order after only about a minute of waiting, so I'm really not sure which vendor locations you guys were hitting up.🙂

While you're standing there waiting on those vouchers, check out what's under the PrittPen 😳
