That’s exactly my point! They went with that whole *Blair Witch Project* mockumentary angle, trying to pass it off as if it were actually true, which I think was a massive stretch on their part. I mean, sure, go ahead and lean into those old urban legends about trolls, but claiming it's real? That's pushing it too far. Regardless of that gimmick, though, I didn't find the movie boring at all—it's actually a pretty solid piece of filmmaking.
I honestly have no idea what to make of this movie... a comedy-horror hybrid centered on the "adventures of a piece of Rubber"... it sounds wild. From what I can tell, it hasn't even hit theaters here in the States yet, and I haven't seen it popping up on any of those shady streaming sites either, so I guess I'll just have to hang tight for a bit longer.
I noticed he’s actually up for an Oscar for Best Visual Effects, so if nothing else, I'm definitely checking this one out just for that—I've always had a massive soft spot for great special effects...😁
I’d honestly love to catch a screening myself, but here’s the weird thing—it’s nowhere to be found on any of the usual pirate sites, even though it’s been out long enough that you’d expect it to be floating around somewhere...
Set back in the 16th and 17th centuries, this movie is such an interesting blend of comedy, drama, and fantasy, especially since the standout feature is having a female sorcerer as our lead character...
I don't know about everyone else, but I actually didn't think the movie was bad at all—honestly, even the lead actor had some pretty hilarious moments...
...this incredible drama that follows three very different people who all find themselves crossing paths with death in their own ways...
...I was wondering if anyone here has actually sat down to watch it yet? I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially since it's already snagged an Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nomination for Best Visual Effects...
