Limitless (2011) in Movies ·
Personally, I’d say this was one of the absolute best films released back in 2011.
It looks like Hollywood has decided to boycott Gibson, clearly...
A Dangerous Method in Movies ·
Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender are definitely solid actors, but let's be real, they both have the chops to tackle much bigger roles than these...

It’s not great, honestly... even if the cinematography is decent, the movie itself feels pretty weak. I was really hoping for a much deeper "Jung and Freud" style analysis and some heavy-hitting discussion, but everything felt watered down and thin. To make matters worse, some of the scenes with Keira Knightley come off looking like nothing more than soft-core porn. I expected so much more from this—way better—but I just can't find any sense of direction in it. Honestly, unless you're already deeply immersed in the whole world of psychoanalysis and the lives of Jung / Freud, you're probably going to feel totally lost.

I’ve got my doubts about "The Descendants 2"... though I have to say, Clooney actually did a pretty solid job with his role in it...

It’s a heavy-hitting family drama starring George Clooney, the one that snagged him a Golden Globe. I figured if you caught any of the awards season coverage, you probably heard the buzz about this one, but since I noticed there wasn't a dedicated thread for it here, I thought I'd go ahead and get the conversation started...

I feel like it needs a little extra punch at the end for Clooney—honestly, just the fact that he isn't in the movie says everything you need to know about how toxic the political world has become. I’ve got a hunch he’ll end up taking home some hardware for this one eventually...

This Hollywood production actually snagged a Golden Globe nomination, and it stars Walter Vaughn in the lead role—it’s all based on those intense true events from back when the Japanese occupation was happening...
The Elite Squad (2011) in Movies ·
The movie was alright—nothing to write home about, but definitely decent enough...
Straw Dogs (2011) in Movies ·
It feels like we’ve completely run out of fresh ideas lately, which is why we're seeing this massive wave of endless remakes, prequels, and sequels everywhere you look...
Brian De Palma in Movies ·
Those first four options on the poll look really solid to me, though if I’m being honest, "The Untouchables" might just be my absolute favorite of the bunch...

I’m pretty sure he’s a household name by now, but if you want to dive deep into his career, I’ve dropped some links right here for you...

...so, I was just sitting here wondering, which one of his movies is actually your absolute favorite?
Friends (2011) in Movies ·
Honestly, my gut is telling me this isn't happening anytime soon; I mean, it was supposed to be here by 2011 at the latest. We’re already staring down the end of August and there hasn't been even a tiny hint of progress from the folks over at Friends...
Friends (2011) in Movies ·
As much as I’d love to see this movie happen, I can't help but feel like the timing just isn't right anymore, especially since the main cast is getting up there in age...
Horror Series in Movies ·
So, here’s my take: I went with the SAW series because, looking back at everything I’ve watched, it’s probably the most engaging franchise out there for me. That said, I’m curious—which specific movie from those series would you guys recommend? Or better yet, which one stands out as the absolute best in its respective series? To get myself back in the right headspace, I just finished rewatching the original 1987 Hellraiser to refresh my memory...
Abduction (year : 2011 country) in Movies ·
Man, I don't know why, but whenever I see this guy from Twilight, I get this weird knot in my stomach... XD
The movie was alright... I didn't go in with super high expectations, so I wasn't really disappointed or anything... It works for T. L. Jones and maybe that slightly unexpected ending, but honestly, the whole thing just drags on a bit too long...

I mean, come on... you’re basically talking about how everything feels after that final 20-minute stretch of the movie...😢
Limitless (2011) in Movies ·
This movie is easily one of my favorites from this year, and honestly, I’m probably going to go back and watch it again soon...🙂...but if you ask me, the ending could have landed much harder...SPOILER....I kept thinking it would be way more impactful if the main guy had just jumped off that building right when they showed up looking for him to get a new batch of pills, or something along those lines. Basically, all I felt was missing was that gut-punch finale similar to what we got in Fight Club... instead of just "the labs are shut down, I know all of Robert De Niro's dirty secrets so he won't blow the whistle, and eventually, I'll find a cure to kick this addiction"—the end, maybe even a sequel... overall, they really should have tied his fate together more tightly at the finish line...SPOILER END...I’d recommend everyone carve out ninety minutes to give this a watch; it’s such a breath of fresh air compared to the absolute garbage that's been flooding the market lately...
James Cameron's Sanctum (2010) in Movies ·
The movie is alright... it drags a bit at the start, but it picks up and ends up being pretty solid once you get into it. The visuals and special effects are really well done...
