It seriously drives me up the wall when this guy starts whining about being broke. Like, dude, you pull in $6,000 a month and work crazy overtime hours every single day—you’re basically glued to the job, out in the field from sunrise to sunset. Then he has the nerve to complain about how his schedule messes with driving the kids to school and all that. His wife makes the exact same salary, but she actually pulls more because of her night shifts, yet they just sit there moaning about it. And then—get this—he actually had the audacity to tell us, "Since you decided to have one kid, just stick with that. Don't make the mistake I did and have two." He literally said our second child was a mistake we shouldn't have made. Can you even imagine saying something that heartless? It’s absolutely sickening...😠Every time I think about it, my blood starts boiling. So many couples spend years, literal years, praying for a baby and doing everything humanly possible to conceive (I know, because I was right there in the trenches with them, dealing with IVF and all that hell...) and then he just acts like it's some burden. He’s acting like he isn't even happy the baby came naturally, just brushing it off like it happened by chance or whatever way God intended. Honestly, I don't even want to dwell on it; it just gets me worked up every single time I remember.
Ugh, I am seriously losing my mind tonight after listening to Michael Barrett11 and his brother—basically his brother-in-law—going at it. They’re obsessing over what to get for the baby once it arrives. Like, okay, fine, what should we buy? But then my husband just shrugs it off like, "Hey, don't sweat it, it'll be fine," and suddenly Michael Barrett11 starts playing the victim card. He’s all, "You don't get it, I'm already $10,000 in the hole, I have no idea how I'm gonna afford anything, things are brutal right now..." And the worst part? My husband is actually falling for this whole guilt trip act. Seriously, who even asks him for anything? If you're gonna vent about being broke, maybe don't do it to people who aren't even asking for a dime, otherwise it's just embarrassing. 😠 It’s such a joke because I haven't asked him for a single thing lately... especially since he literally just treated himself to a brand new car a few weeks ago.
Douglas Booth22 said:My OBGYN only sent me for blood work once at the very beginning, which seems rather odd.😕
Since I’m feeling fine, I assume my iron levels are likely within the normal range.

Man, I’ve had blood drawn like three times by the OB side, and at least twenty more times for everything else during pregnancy😛 I'm basically covered in needle marks at this point. A couple times mid-pregnancy I felt like crap, passed out twice, and don't even ask how many dizzy spells I had. Had to get blood work done because my whole CBC was trashed—red blood cell count tanked and my iron was so low I've been chugging supplements for months now
Douglas Booth22 said:I haven’t experienced any cramping at all; I go a few times a day, which is honestly getting on my nerves enough.
I even had a moment of panic the other day, wondering if this was a sign that labor was imminent. I’ve heard stories about women experiencing this kind of "natural cleansing" just a day or two before they actually go into labor.

Well, if that were the case, I should've gone into labor ages ago.🤣 I’m the exact opposite—I'm hitting the bathroom multiple times a day. These iron supplements are absolutely wrecking my system, especially now that they bumped up my dosage near the end.
Michael Barrett11 said:I haven't dealt with constipation yet, though my partner already gave me a heads-up not to strain too hard when I'm on the toilet 🙄

If things do get backed up, his grandmother has this specific herbal tea she swears by for getting things moving, so I might just stick to that 🤷

My friend was talking to her OB-GYN, and they told her absolutely no straining or pushing if she's dealing with hard stools—apparently, you don't want to risk triggering early labor. Thank God I haven't run into any of those issues so far...
Nathan Smith12 said:I honestly cannot wrap my head around that. Why on earth would you be dragging furniture around constantly? My neighbors are bad enough—it’s like they’re rearranging their entire wardrobe every single day... Have you actually said anything to them, or are you just biting your tongue?

My situation isn't nearly as extreme as yours, so I feel a bit silly complaining, but it still gets under my skin...

I don't know, I swear it feels like every few days something is getting shifted around. Total maniacs, I'm telling you. My husband is just like, "What else am I supposed to expect?" I told my wife how insane this behavior is and how we've been putting up with this crap for 16 years straight, but she just defends him. Then he comes home and lays into her—crazy house, seriously. She’s terrified to say a word to him, even though they've been married for over 30 years. She claims he's always been this way, even harassed her back when she was pregnant. Honestly, I can't bring myself to feel bad for women like that when they end up getting screwed over... and let her go wandering the streets if she doesn't have any shame, especially since she's got her own apartment where she keeps renters. But the absolute worst part is when he starts screaming and smashing things in the middle of the night. Can you imagine trying to sleep through that? You jump out of bed and have no clue what's happening. My heart has stopped from pure terror more times than I can count.
Nathan Smith12 said:I am honestly at my wit's end with these new neighbors living directly below us. They have this relentless habit of dragging chairs and heavy furniture across their hardwood floors at all hours of the day and night. It is absolutely maddening. I genuinely cannot wrap my head around how they sleep through it; the constant scraping sound is driving me up the wall, not to mention the fact that they’re likely gouging up those nice floors 🤷.

And you think that's bad? You should see the absolute lunatics living above me. They've been in this apartment complex since '94, and honestly, I've never met such total maniacs. All day long, it's just constant dragging of heavy furniture, banging, slamming... they even chop wood right in the middle of their kitchen. Total freaks. 😠 And don't even get me started on the husband—the guy rolls in drunk every other day and starts beating his wife. She's screaming, things are flying across the room... I'm seriously just waiting for my ceiling to cave in one of these days. Absolute psychos. It’s all fine until I have my baby, and then what? When the kid finally falls asleep and they start the fighting and the slamming again? My child is going to be traumatized. It’s gonna be a complete circus, and let me tell you, I am definitely not putting up with that.
Douglas Booth22 said:He’s planning on throwing a massive party, inviting coworkers, friends, and all the relatives.
I've already made it clear to him several times: the nursery where the baby sleeps will be kept locked, and once the guests leave, everything needs to be scrubbed clean—especially the toilet with some Clorox.

We're stuck in an apartment, so there's zero chance I'm hosting that entire crowd... just no room. If we had a house with a yard and the weather wasn't miserable, sure, we could host people and whatever, but in this setup? Not happening.
My mom just called me, and honestly? Lord, help me. We’re talking, right? And we drift into this whole conversation about what happens when the little guy finally arrives. She starts going on about how my husband is gonna throw this big celebration at the office for everyone, and then she goes, "Oh, please, no big fuss, I'll just bake him a batch of homemade apple pie and that's that." Like, seriously? There are literally 60 people at his firm... I felt physically sick just hearing it. I told her, "Look, you can't just show up with one tray of pie; there has to be some finger foods, cookies, cake, appetizers... you can't just do that." She actually started getting all offended and indignant. I mean, come on. This is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, the first baby
Ugh, totally forgot to mention this part...
So my mother-in-law basically hit me with this nonsense the other day. Seriously, the whole pregnancy—we’re talking eight full months in—she hasn't bought a single thing for the baby. Not one thing. Whatever, her business, right? But then out of nowhere, she calls me up and goes, "Oh, I already picked up that thing you wanted a while back, but I'm not giving it to you because it's pink. I thought it was gonna be a girl." Like, seriously? 😕😛😠
It's just pathetic. I mean, how do you even guess? You wait until the ultrasound shows the gender before you go on a shopping spree, obviously. So I told her, "Fine, just give whatever you bought to someone else who actually has a girl," and she's all like, "Well, I thought it would be a girl since everyone in my family is male." Please. 🙂 What an absolute clown...
God, they seriously know how to push your buttons... I’m honestly terrified of what my mother-in-law is going to be like once I actually have this baby. She’s totally clueless when it comes to newborns—I mean, she raised her own two kids, but they’re grown adults now. I can't even wrap my head around how she’ll handle my little one. She’ll probably be constantly worrying about his head or his spine or something, because honestly, everything she does in life is just so careless and rushed. Ugh!!! Every time I see😠 I know I’m going to be stuck constantly nagging, "Watch out, watch out!" and then she’ll just take offense. The absolute worst part is when you’re hovering over that baby like a hawk, trying to keep them safe, and then someone else just comes along and acts completely reckless😱
Jesse Evans85 said:Reading this feels like listening to my own mother and mother-in-law. They call me every single day just to tell me it's snowing. Please, I'm not blind! Personally, I love the snow, and my husband and I still take our daily walks around the neighborhood. If I actually told my mom that, I think she'd lock me in the house and throw away the key. Other people haven't really given me a hard time yet because my bump isn't super obvious, but I have no doubt they'll start up soon enough.

And don't even get me started on my mom... while the snow hasn't melted yet, she's been calling me like ten times in a row asking if I went outside, telling me to watch my step, watch this, watch that... she's driving me absolutely insane. And then I actually do go out, and everyone else starts in on me too.🙂
Honestly, people over the last couple of days have irritated me way more than being pregnant ever did.😠
We just had some snow fall here, and apparently, that’s a massive freaking miracle because it doesn't happen all the time around here. So, there I am, just trying to walk my dog and hit up the local grocery store like I do every single day, when suddenly I run into the neighbors and everyone on the block starts acting like I’m losing my mind. It’s always the same thing—"Oh my god, are you okay? Are you trying to go into labor early? Are you crazy for walking in the snow? Who even let you outside?" etc., etc...😛 People are seriously out of their minds. It drives me absolutely nuts. I put on my leggings, watched my step, and moved along. I’m not an invalid or some helpless wreck just because I’m pregnant; I walk just fine, I just happen to have a belly now, and that doesn't mean I can't step foot outside once in a while.😕Then I get to the store to grab some bread, and the cashier gives me that exact same look—like, why on earth would you be out in this weather? My blood pressure shot through the roof immediately.😠 Seriously, such weirdos.
Sophia Walker89 said:Honestly, I found myself feeling quite irritated today after realizing my prenatal records mention hearing the baby's heartbeat and the exact length of the little one—details my OBGYN hasn't actually shared with me at all. She didn't say a word, let alone show me anything; she just typed it into her computer, noted it in my chart, and told me the baby looks perfectly healthy... which is fine, I suppose, but still. When I gathered the courage to ask if I could perhaps have a photo, she flatly refused, claiming she doesn't provide them and that I’d have to go see a specialist at a private clinic—which apparently costs about $133. To make matters worse, when I found out she gave every single photo and even let my friend listen to the heartbeat, I just broke down—I was crying like it was a rainy day in Seattle. It feels like such a disaster, especially since I had been looking forward to these milestones so much.

That is just straight-up gross.... seriously. And man, that feeling when you hear that little heartbeat for the first time? There's nothing like it. I used to tear up every single time at the start of my pregnancies.... What kind of OB is that? Are you even paying for Blue Cross? My doctor takes $33 from me every time, but she always hands over at least 2, 3, or 4 photos
wanderinghawk said:It’s the exact opposite at my house when it comes to my mother-in-law 🤷..... she just wants to go on endless shopping sprees 😲 😲 and frankly, it gets under my skin 😁 because she insists on picking everything out herself ☕

I swear, pregnant women are never satisfied 😍 😍

Oh, great... lucky you. Mine complains about every single thing, and we have to shut up about what we're buying because she acts like she's being inconvenienced. She claims if it isn't "essential," it's a waste since the baby grows out of it so fast—so we should just borrow stuff from someone else. Borrow from who? Spend money like I'm some broke college kid wandering around Target? 😠 Honestly, she's a total piece of work. When we bought the crib, she was like, "Why did you spend so much on that?" (the crib was like $367 bucks), saying you can find them everywhere $167 even with a mattress included. But where exactly? And what kind? I ask, and of course, she doesn't have an answer since they don't exist. Then when we got the dresser and other gear, she goes, "Oh, I was actually thinking of buying that for you..." 😛 Sure you were, lady, but you didn't say a word about needing anything else before we bought it! Like, if you wanted to help, you should've spoken up. Remember when Walmart had that big sale on baby stuff? I was there first thing in the morning grabbing onesies, socks, and little outfits. Then she goes to Walmart later and asks if I need anything, I say no because I already went, and then she's like, "Well, I really wanted to get those onesies." And then she starts talking about how cute the little shorts and pajamas are, but then says, "Well, since you already got them, I guess there won't be any other occasion." Give me a break. If you wanted to buy something, you could've picked out a pajama set or something I missed... good grief. Seriously... I'm getting more fed up by the day. Best bet is to just buy it, keep our mouths shut, and tell nobody a damn thing.
Douglas Booth22 said:At first, they were practically suffocating me with questions about the cat—how we’d manage with both a kitten and a newborn, whether we’d end up getting rid of her 😠
I shut that conversation down immediately, and now they don't dare bother me with it again.

That's exactly what gets under my skin too... everyone acting like I have to give up my dog because the baby might actually come earlier than expected, and apparently, the dog and the newborn can't be in the same space.😛 It sends my blood pressure through the roof.😠 Seriously, who are these people to try and boss me around? As if I don't know right from wrong. They expect me to just hand over my dog—who’s been with me for ten and a half years, a poor old soul who's seriously sick. I love that dog so much it kills me. And honestly, who would even take an old, ailing dog like that? He needs heavy meds every single day. The only option they're implying is euthanasia, and there is zero chance of that happening. I'd literally die from the heartbreak. People can be so incredibly nasty and intrusive sometimes, it’s disgusting. They just love sticking their noses where they don't belong.👎
So, some lady from my neighborhood totally lost her mind on me yesterday. I know her, or well, I see her around—she’s one of those people who might give you a nod once in a blue moon, but usually just looks right through you like you're invisible. Anyway, I’m standing in line at Target, she’s right in front of me, and I didn't even realize it was her until she spins around. And man, talk about zero boundaries. This woman—and she’s not even old, maybe mid-40s—just stares straight at my stomach and then, out of nowhere, starts grabbing and slapping my belly like we're best friends. My blood pressure shot through the roof. Like, excuse me? Who do you think you are, touching me there? It’s not like she’s family or someone I actually care about; she’s just some random neighbor who probably won't even say hi to me on the street tomorrow. But no, she just had to go and be invasive, acting like she has a right to know when I'm due or what's going on with my body... 😛😛😛
Look, I’m not one to whine or play the victim, seriously. People always ask if pregnancy is the "best time of a woman's life," and honestly? It’s a mixed bag. For some, it's a nightmare. For me, it's been a total rollercoaster from day one. I've dealt with constant nausea, dizzy spells, and now my blood counts have absolutely tanked—everything is just low. My gallbladder started acting up too, giving me these intense attacks that landed me in the ER a couple of times. And man, the physical toll... I feel like I'm carrying this baby so low already, my blood pressure is all over the place, and I'm running to the bathroom every twenty minutes. My back is basically screaming at me, and lately, I've been feeling these contractions—or maybe they're just intense cramps, who knows? It feels like I'm about to start my period, which is terrifying because you're constantly hovering in this headspace of "please let everything be okay." But even with all that, I’m not complaining. It’s actually beautiful, carrying this little life inside you—especially when you've been through hell to get here and have waited forever for this moment. So yeah, despite the stress and how much my body is breaking down, I am genuinely excited for this.🙂
Michael Barrett11 said:I’d honestly rather spend twelve hours straight working in my garage than have him hovering in the kitchen trying to help; he acts like such a chore just being there.

I suppose I'll wait until I have a massive baby bump and can't manage the cleaning myself before I see if he actually steps up and realizes he needs to pull his weight. 🙄

Mine, on the other hand, claims—mostly because he's obsessed with doing the dishes right now😍—that he’d much rather spend all day scrubbing plates than actually doing any real work.
God, they’re so intense😠 I’ve got this massive construction project looming over my head these next few days—we’re getting new vinyl windows installed. I am already dreading that fine-ass dust that gets absolutely everywhere, creeping into every single closet and drawer. It’s gonna be a nightmare. Plus, the contractor has been jerking me around for a week straight now, just stalling. And don't even get me started on that toxic paint smell that hangs in the air forever until it finally dies down. Total disaster. Thank God my mom is stepping up to handle all the cleaning and resetting everything; I’d do it myself, but she won't let me exert myself too much. Honestly, if I tried to help, I’d probably just be in the way, and when she actually picks up a rag or a broom, man... I won't even go there.😂The only thing she does perfectly is the dishes, I'll give her that. Can't deny it. At least we have that one little win.😍
