So, my mom broke the exact same finger about two and a half months ago and she’s still dealing with the pain. It swells up like crazy, especially in the morning. She was stuck in a cast for seven days, then had a splint on for another two weeks. After that, she went in for a follow-up and the doctor basically told her she was "75% recovered" and should just start doing home exercises—squeezing a tennis ball, swimming in the ocean, icing it, massaging it, all that jazz. Well, she did everything he said, but honestly? Zero improvement. The finger is still swollen, it throbs every time she moves it, and she can't even bend it right because it looks crooked. Now they’ve sent her to physical therapy, so she’s been going every single day for the last 15 days for massages, underwater therapy, and whatever else. And frankly, I don't see any progress at all.
Man, I still think about this one. About 7 or 8 years ago, I was just out walking my dog when this absolute unit of a dog—probably some massive 130-pound Mastiff mix—comes charging at me. Total nightmare. It lunged and bit me right in the arm. Of course, the beast wasn't even vaccinated, and I had to deal with the whole mess of making sure I didn't get tetanus. Barely made it through, but I survived.😁
My mom and my husband both went down to the local health department to pick up some medical records, and they handled everything without any drama at all
Absolute nightmare🙂 for my sanity, I swear. It takes a freaking eternity just to log in, and don't even get me started on everything else. You think they’re actually gonna fix this mess?😕
Ugh, seriously, everything is crawling today. It’s been three days just trying to get one single page to load. Absolute nightmare.🙂 That’s because I gave it a compliment two days ago, obviously.😛
man, you can literally see it happening right before midnight... things start picking up speed and everything just shifts, it’s wild🙂 we’re gonna have to move our whole routine to after midnight over here and just crash during the day instead🤣

I'm right there with him. Something has to give, because nobody knows how much longer we can actually pull this off.
Same old story today, total disaster🙂Just logged on and the speed is absolutely pathetic. There's zero chance these pages are actually going to load. I'm done.😠
Man, this is enough to drive anyone insane.🙂The last four or five days have been a total nightmare. The site is crawling—I’m talking waiting over a full minute just for a page to load. It’s pathetic. Sometimes it won't even let me log in, so I just give up entirely. And don't even get me started on trying to actually post something; it takes an absolute eternity just to hit send.😠 It’s not just a temporary glitch for me either, like some people claim it is for a 24-hour window. I’m usually popping on here well after that 24-hour mark and it’s still the exact same mess. Is there any way to actually fix this? I honestly don't even know who to ask or where to go.😕
Oh, forgot to mention—it's only this specific forum that's lagging and glitching out like this. Everything else on my end is working perfectly fine.
So, I had surgery four days ago, and honestly? I was more terrified of the anesthesia than anything else. You hear all these horror stories, and before you know it, the panic just takes over. Like, what if I just never wake up?😍 But look, it’s over now. It was actually such a peaceful way to pass out. All I really remember is being wheeled into the OR. One nurse was setting up my IV and asking how much we should give, and all I heard was, "Just give her 8, we can always add more later." Then they popped the mask over my face and warned me I might feel a little dizzy. A *little*? Give me a break. The whole room started spinning so fast I was out before I could even process it. Honestly, it was a trip.😍Then, when they were trying to rouse me in the recovery room, I could hear everything. They’re all like, "Come on, wake up, let's go, let's go..." and tapping me on the face, but I couldn't open my eyes for the life of me. When I finally did, I was so groggy. I tried to read some sign on the wall across from me, but there was no way—the letters were literally running away from me.🤣The crazy part? No nausea at all. None. No vomiting, no pounding headaches. Everything was a perfect ten out of ten.👍The only thing sucked was my throat. It felt absolutely shredded for almost two days—just a miserable feeling. Probably from the breathing tube, I guess. So, what kind of side effects am I actually looking at after anesthesia?
I honestly have no clue what the exact wait time is right now, all I know is my mom’s heading to San Francisco for her checkups because they told her the specialists out there are way more reliable and precise. Not totally sure on the specifics, but if I remember correctly, she was stuck waiting about five or six months just to get an appointment last time.
driftingbear10 said:Get rid of the only thread about pregnancy where people post photos—meanwhile, over in the fashion section (if I got the name right), there’s an endless stream of picture-dumping threads like: "fashion critiques for our brave ladies!", "challenges for our bold users," "shoe pics," "the big fashion critique mega-thread," or "what are you wearing today?"—where everyone just posts shots of random influencers... yet you guys make such a huge deal out of a topic where a bunch of moms were just sharing their memories... does anyone even get what I'm saying here? And what's the deal with punishing people just for asking why someone got banned? 😕 Since when is asking about moderator overreach considered a crime? 🤔 I'm with you on one thing—this place needs a cleanup, but if you keep going down this path, you're just gonna end up clearing out the actual regulars who actually type stuff here. 👎
I'm totally on board with this. That pregnancy bump photo thread was one of my absolute favorites; I used to check it every single day. I'm not pregnant right now, but I was not too long ago, and I still love seeing those cute little bellies.😍 It would be awesome if they brought that thread back, and I bet a ton of other ladies on here feel the same way. Of course, there should be rules so people don't spam a million images and bloat the posts, but I'm all for it.
Honestly, what gets under my skin the most is just not being able to show my face anywhere without some random person breathing down my neck. It’s always the same tired questions—"Are you okay now?" "Did you have the baby yet?" "What happened?" "You look so swollen, you look like you're about to pop." It's constant, man.😠 I swear, I don't have the energy to sit there and explain my life story to every single person I run into.😛 They are just exhausting, seriously. That's it. My little one won't even leave the house, so we're basically stuck inside.😍
Charles Miller3 said:It absolutely drives me insane when everyone starts grilling me about whether I got pregnant naturally or via "IVF." 😠😠
Look, I have zero shame about getting pregnant through IVF—it’s what worked—but the way certain acquaintances throw these questions at me is enough to make me lose my mind. It’s like, excuse me? Do I go around asking them, "So, when exactly did you guys have sex so you could end up pregnant?" 🙄🙄
Man, people can be so incredibly rude... honestly, why does it even matter how it happened? Whether it was old-fashioned or a baby from a petri dish, a pregnancy is a pregnancy. Most of the time, it's all the same. I don't get how anyone can be that blunt and just ask... I went through something similar with my boss's husband when we ran into them in town. We’d been trying for a long time, and they had been too—they’re pushing 40 now. His wife is finally pregnant, and she just looks at us and goes, "You guys used IVF to conceive too, right?" My husband told her no, we actually conceived naturally between treatments, and the guy just stared at us like, "No way, I totally thought you guys were doing the artificial route..." Just pure stupidity. You meet all kinds of idiots out there.😠
So I’m standing there in the middle of a Target checkout line yesterday, waiting for what felt like an eternity—over half an hour, easy. And of course, they’ve got those signs everywhere saying pregnant women and people with disabilities get priority. Suddenly, this guy comes barreling through, leaning heavily on a cane like he’s got some major disability, just shoving his way to the front. They let him right past. And what about me? I’m literally days away from giving birth, my stomach is huge, and suddenly I don't exist? Absolute joke.!!!!!!!!!!!😠I’ve always been the type to step aside for moms with little kids and especially for pregnant women, so seeing this happen... man, it really sticks in my craw.😛
It honestly drives me up the wall how primitive and just plain stupid some people can be...😛 It’s not even worth responding at this point. Like, if he’s losing his mind now because there are two kids, why wasn't he thinking about that when things went down? If he didn't want more and his wife was lying to him about taking birth control when she actually wasn't, then fine—that's on them. How does he think he has any right to barge into someone else's life like that? I would never dream of being that harsh to anyone. When I had my miscarriage, my mom told me it was nothing special, just that she'd clean herself out with a procedure and move on. To her, it wasn't a big deal since she could just get pregnant whenever she wanted... but for others, it's not that simple. What kills me most is that Mom is actually listening to my older brother's "philosophy" instead of just telling him, "Look, we'll have whatever God gives us. If we're meant to have one child, we'll have one, and who knows, maybe we're destined for another one later."
