Hey everyone—does anyone know where I can pick up something like a compression undershirt or a bodysuit in the States? Not looking for a full-blown corset or anything—just something to smooth things out a bit 🤔. I did some searching and saw they have some at Target right now, but I have a feeling they’ll fly off the shelves, and honestly, I’d rather try it on first. I thought about checking Macy's, but besides that, I'm drawing a blank. I need this for next week, obviously 🤦. And I really don't want to drop more than $67 🙂 on it.

He nailed Neil Gaiman on the sixth attempt 😬. First, he threw out Orhan Pamuk, then David Guetta, Alan Wilder, "The Creator," and Gareth Emery. I'm pretty sure he was just messing with him when asked if he was collaborating with any musicians.

Then there was Scarlett O'Hara on the second 😳.

Naked, thanks a ton—I'll head over and check out both Neru and Namu 👍. Trustno, thanks to you too; I’m going to see what they have in stock that I can try on right away, and then I'll figure out my next move if nothing catches my eye 🙂 (though I have my sights set on their website—they have some killer boots 🙂)

Does anyone actually know a shop that reliably stocks tall boots with a wide calf?

Maxy P? It’s been a minute—but I remember back in the day, they used to have two different types of stores right next to each other: one "fancy" boutique and one just for everyday stuff. I was never really much of a dress person myself, though I did once treat myself to this gorgeous skirt and blouse combo—absolutely stunning, very formal.

Go check out the Weddings subforum—there’s actually a thread there about "legendary" weddings. I’m sure you’ll find all the help you need right there.

I’m honestly lost here 😬. I’ve been using FF—I actually downloaded checkymonkey or whatever it was—but then I hit a wall. Can someone please just give me some straightforward instructions?

It doesn’t look any cleaner to me—that white border on the side is actually pretty distracting (yeah, I get it, I can't see the ads 😍).

The forum layout is suddenly "centered" on my screen—until this morning, it was full-width, stretching from edge to edge (if that makes any sense). Is there actually a way to fix this?

Jeffrey Edwards5 said:I bought some pants there about three or four years ago, mostly just because I needed them, not because I was browsing. $167.
Just basic black pants.$167
From three years ago.
So, if that's considered "affordable"...
I remember getting a little booklet where they stamp it after every purchase $167 (!). After six or ten stamps, you get a generous 10% discount. It's actually a pretty good system. 😢
That said, their prices can be pretty steep sometimes. I'm not a fan of that. It feels like because they're one of the few shops that carry larger sizes, they can afford to act a bit arrogant with their pricing.

That was definitely MaxyP—I had that card right there. 😬Unless they've already ripped them off—and honestly, I don't recall seeing that Ducana option even existing a few years back. 🤔

Baby oil? Never heard of that one 😳. Maybe I'll give it a shot next summer 😁.

Charles Kern28 said:Why don't we talk about dresses on this thread instead? 😍 I’m a US size 14/16 and I live in dresses! They are my absolute favorite summer staple—super comfy, breezy, and just gorgeous. Honestly, I think any girl looks better in a dress than pants, as long as she finds one that actually hugs her curves in the right spots. And let's be real, there are so many styles and lengths out there now, it’s almost overwhelming. I pick stuff up at local shops here, but shopping online is where the real magic happens—better prices and way more variety (I've seen some gems for like $10 or $15 lately!). So why not? 😍
These are my current favorites 😍

I noticed Jason Moore63 mentioned the Big Beauty blog. That woman is a total icon! She’s such huge inspiration for outfit ideas and, best of all, she proves that curvy women can rock absolutely EVERYTHING if they just find the right fit for their shape. Huge props to Big Beauty 😍

I don't know about you all, but my issue with summer dresses was always thigh chafing—which is why I avoided them entirely. Those painful red rashes simply weren't worth the effort. In the winter, skirts were fine, but during the summer? Only if I wore bike shorts underneath—and then I’d just overheat. And no, powder didn't do a damn thing.

Sell them off to your brothers and sisters 😬

I don't get the whole thing with the dog ears—what actually happened, and why was cutting necessary? 😳 Are you planning on having your hands corrected again?

Man, awesome, thanks Free 🙂.

Your scars on your hands actually look better than Jelica's. My stomach looks great, too 😍. But regarding my arms—I honestly don't get why they couldn't have been tightened up just a little bit more?
How can you be so sure? Is this based on actual experience? And what exactly makes them so special?

Thanks Lisa Ross43 for posting those photos! I have to admit, it looks a little intimidating 😳. I was under the impression it would heal much more smoothly. But I noticed your abdominal scar immediately—it looks way better than mine!

Great stuff, really. But I’m with Taylor Garcia66 on this one—we need those photos. Just hand a camera to the kids and let them snap some shots and upload them for you! 😁

I’m curious—how much do these doctors actually take out? Can you even see the bypass scar anymore? Like, did that 6-inch incision shrink down to 2 inches or what? And do they actually reconstruct a new belly button, or is that just a myth?

Two years ago at a wedding, I went with a grey blouse—silk, black and white combo. Paired it with some sharp black trousers and high-heeled sandals. I was happy with the look; felt perfectly dressed for the occasion.
I I have my own little mental reminder, and honestly, I hate remembering it. For those first few weeks, I’d burst into tears every single time I caught a glimpse of it—mostly because I was desperately trying not to look down at my own body. But that’s just who I am now. That scar is part of me, whether I like it or not, and I have zero shame about it. Though, I will say—when I’m watching something on TV, like one of those medical dramas... you know, when someone goes under the knife and they show that first scalpel incision or a torso covered in bandages... I start shaking from pure horror.
But I’m not letting that ruin my time at the beach 😁. Look, I don't live by the coast, and that one or two-week window where I can finally get some sun once a year is too precious to miss. I even went to the pool with my boyfriend in a two-piece... I didn't let it stop me. If a couple of people stared for a second and then quickly looked away, that's on them—they were clearly more uncomfortable than I was.
