Well, I suppose it isn’t too late just yet. 🙂 Honestly, if that actually happened, it would be absolutely wonderful.

When I brought up mothballs, I was mostly just implying that the golden age of music is probably long gone—buried and forgotten, I suppose. And don't even get me started on the Billboard charts here in the States; I really wouldn't want to open that particular can of worms regarding how much garbage actually makes it into the top three.
Haha, I guess two-thirds of these performers are basically made of cheap plastic. 😬
I'm actually looking forward to seeing Franz Ferdinand—this latest album of theirs has been sitting quite well with me, I suppose. 🙂 Though, if I'm being honest, I don't feel that same level of pure, unadulterated excitement I had back when they first toured here.
Killers would have been 😍 but I suppose Placebo will do just fine 😍
Placebo.
Art Brut 👋

Or maybe just for a few bucks 😳
Honestly, all those names—VIP, Coachella VIP, Lollapalooza VIP, or whatever else they decided to call it that year—it all sounded pretty ridiculous to me. I suppose I’m just looking forward to next year's T-Mobile Music Festival, if that's even a thing.
🙂
I'll probably end up buying a ticket again without having the slightest clue who is actually performing. 😳

We already went off on a tangent about Radiohead in some other thread. 😍 Actually, I don't think we even did that in the Radiohead topic. 😬

By the time I finally make it over to Interflex, it’s like everything they wrote has become totally illegible. 😢

Sure, I get what you're saying—that all holds water—but there's something kind of beautiful about how you can't really hate someone just because they're American versus international. I mean, sure, you *can*, but it’s pretty rare to see that kind of tribalism. On the other hand, when you start dividing people by genres like Metal, that hatred spreads like wildfire through dry grass... especially if you douse it in gasoline first. 🙂

I’m not even going to touch the Bujet situation—honestly, my head just went from imploding to exploding reading that. I can't even begin to argue with it now.

Laufer is actually a pretty solid band, isn't he?
😳
EDIT: And honestly, that was back when they were releasing stuff like džinovski and gad—two genuinely decent albums from Bud Light.

Then I realized—quite late to the party, I suppose—that music actually exists outside the confines of the radio.
So, what now? Am I supposed to feel some kind of embarrassment about it?
Maybe just a little bit.

The way "gay" is defined online, using English—
* cheery: bright and pleasant; uplifting one's mood; "a cheery hello"; "a gay sunny room"; "a sunny smile"
* brimming with high-spirited merriment; "when hearts were young and gay"; "a poet could not but be gay, in such a jocund company"—Wordsworth; "the jolly crowd at the reunion"; "Santa Claus"; "a jovial old gentleman"; "have a merry Christmas"; "peals of merry laughter"; "a mirthful...
* inclined toward social pleasures, often involving a bit of debauchery; "led a gay Bohemian Life"; "a gay old rogue with an eye for the ladies"
* bold: brightly colored and flashy; "girls decked out in brave new dresses"; "brave banners flying"; "‘braw’ is a Scottish term"; "a dress a bit too gay for her years"; "birds with gay plumage"
* providing fun and gaiety; "a festive (or festal) occasion"; "gay and exciting nightlife"; "a merry evening"
* homosexual or arousing homosexual desires

Seeing Stuttgart Online perform out here in San Jose was actually quite a pleasant surprise—honestly, I didn't see it coming. I can't help but wonder, though, if that warm feeling I have toward them is going to stick around once this concert is over and the dust settles.
That band Country Number... 9? Or whatever they were called. I’ve sort of lost the thread of how they actually sound lately—memory is a fickle thing, I suppose—but seeing them live was a solid experience. They were actually quite good, just a little bit under the level of Nisennenmondai. Or maybe I have that mixed up? I doubt it, though.

There were some truly stunning tracks released this year. I made a point of not including more than one song per artist—it wasn't a particularly difficult choice, given that Radiohead dropped their record last year—and I’m focusing strictly on the absolute best of the best.
