Yeah, true enough... But as of right now, there's zero word on the casting. No director either. All we know is that the script is by some guy named Justin Marks, who's mostly just done a handful of short films...
I heard they're working on a movie or something like that....🤔
[/OT]
Yeah, they're making a film. But it won't be animated. And Steven Spielberg is involved, so he's got his hands on it. Might actually turn out okay... No word on the cast or anything else yet...

As far as she's concerned, she's just another loudmouthed revolutionary who loves stirring up trouble...👎 👎
Exactly. She’s basically an aging American pop star😂 who’s lost her edge and now relies on manufactured scandals just to stay relevant. She can't even adopt a child without turning it into a media circus...
Jerry Martin19 said:Guy Ritchie with that mindless "Revolver." I’ve never been much of a fan, but I caught "Snatch" and actually had a decent laugh. Then came "Revolver." And don't get me started on how Ray Liotta completely wasted his potential in that one.
Madonna effectively stifled his talent. First with that ridiculous movie where he ends up stranded on an island with the Navy, and then that unnecessary subplot involving the mob in "Gun"...
But then again, if the screenwriters had actually followed the Lovecraftian Re-animator story more closely, we wouldn't have ended up with that dark, horror-filled mess...
Honestly, what gets to me most about Spielberg is his obsession with aliens. I am 100% certain that in Kubrick's original script for *A.I.*, there wasn't even a whisper of extraterrestrials... he was the one who threw them in there.
Jerry Martin19 said:All things considered, De Niro is an exceptional actor. You can certainly credit him with more great roles than just "good" ones, let alone any bad ones. one of the better ones🙏
True. I could forgive that pathetic mess of a film, *Raging Bull*, but those mindless comedies... analyze that, and you'll find they're unforgivable.
Give me a break. Mission: Impossible is a fantastic film. Your only issue is that you simply didn't get it. 🙂
I mean, look at Francis Ford Coppola—a director so brilliant that he actually turned out a total disaster like Jack, starring Robin Williams? Absolute cinematic garbage...
And if you're going to trash Mission: Impossible, then I'll throw this back at you: Sofia Coppola and her Lost in Translation.

No way! Is that really him? I've watched that scene from X-Men 2 a dozen times and never once put it together...
It’s hard to expect anyone to nail a book adaptation. First, you have screenwriters who take far too much liberty with the material. Sometimes, a book is just too dense to squeeze everything into a single movie, much like the situation with Harry Potter. Certain scenes simply don't translate because they'd drag the pacing down or are impossible to visualize on screen... But with the movie Watchers, the script is pure idiocy. The book was about the bond between a frightened woman and a man accompanied by an intelligent dog, all while being hunted by a creature... Instead of crafting a romantic horror, they gave us some bratty kid, a monster picking people off one by one, and a genetically modified killer. Personally, I don't hold my breath anymore. The moment I hear a film is being made based on a novel or a comic, I can almost guarantee it will be garbage. Americans generally know how to handle their own films—with the exception of Daredevil, where Kingpin is Black—but foreign productions, like Constantine, are even worse once you've actually read the source material.

You could have at least tried to write more than a single sentence. 🙄 Or maybe just drop the link right away. Besides, that whole bit about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is ancient history. Everyone already knows...
It’s loosely based on true events. They drew inspiration from Ed Gein, the killer who famously crafted furniture out of human skin. Back then, there was a massive wave of horror films like The Hills Have Eyes involving hillbillies hunting people down. Tobe Hooper essentially leaned into that atmosphere, deciding to make a film about Texans on a derelict estate slaughtering unsuspecting travelers. He tapped into the local paranoia surrounding the Ed Gein murders. So, it's more of an urban legend fueled by bits of true crime...
Also, I realize you're new here, but what's with this idiotic topic?
