Good grief, strike me down from above... I feel like I've finally seen it all. 😁

Are we having some kind of treehugger holiday today or what? 🤣

Paul Anderson7 said:@ambermason16/">@@ambermason16 look, I respect your long history on Reddit, but you don't know a damn thing about me. You have zero right to comment on whether I’ll be a better or worse user here. I’ve never had issues before, and fighting isn't my style. Honestly, I regret even joining this place because it’s impossible to have a real discussion without someone losing their mind. But once I bite, I finish the meal.

As for me, I respect you as a person, but your file speaks for itself. Everything you just typed flies in the face of what's actually in your profile. That's why I would never take you seriously. And that's exactly why I’d hand out a harsher penalty than anyone else. It's nothing personal—it's not like I dislike you or have some vendetta against you. It's just that your last few years show a very clear pattern... and that pattern is basically "screw the rules, I do whatever I want."

silentsailor5 gave you three days. Personally, I’d give you seven, and the next time you slip up, I’d be asking for a partial ban. Again, nothing personal. So, instead of attacking him—which is totally uncalled for—just be glad silentsailor5 is the one in charge of that PDF.

Anthony Barrett37, I'm sorry. I'm not a mod on that PDF. I have no idea what's actually going on or why my colleagues made that specific call (Chat). But I trust their judgment.

I only stepped in because someone—who clearly thinks this Reddit is their own personal playground and keeps undermining the rules—decided to target silentsailor5 personally. I don't know the specifics of the PDF. 🙂

Just give the mods a little breathing room, and I'm sure they'll get back to you. 🙂

Paul Anderson7 said:Yeah, four pages of bans where 90% of it was just pure nonsense like spam, and the rest was just because of the blowout with silentsailor5 and Countess. And sure, let's pretend there was a threat against the moderator 🤣🤣🤣
Let them show us exactly what kind of "threat" that was 😂

18 bans in 4 years and 4,300 posts. I’m clearly a hardened criminal; they should ship me off to Alcatraz.

Let me correct myself: say maybe 5-7 days, and you'd be a candidate for a parole hearing. As my American brothers would say: You're up to no good. You're one of those users who just gets worse and worse by the day...🙂

I'm not a mod over there, but since you asked for an opinion on Reddit, here it is: silentsailor5 banned you perfectly, and honestly, I would have handed you a much harsher sentence. So, instead of picking fights with silentsailor5 and Countess, try actually coexisting. Try being objective for once, and you'll see that silentsailor5 actually gave you a break.

Paul Anderson7 said:And what exactly is my Reddit history like?

Bravo on your mastery of the QWERTY keyboard layout. ☕

Your Reddit history is basically four pages of bans, including one of those 500-point strikes for threatening a moderator... let's all take a wild guess at which one.

Since you brought up the three-day ban, I just wanted to let you know that if it were me, I would have handed you a double dose of discipline.

Whether they want to or not, every time a new strike comes in, the moderator is going to look at the user's track record. They’ll try to mentor a newcomer and move past it if possible. But a serial offender? They’re going to hit them even harder every single time. Especially when the offenses are as serious as yours.

Paul Anderson7 said:Is this post actually worth a three-day ban?

http://www.reddit.com/showpost.php?p=3...5&postcount=11

It’s at least worth a three-day ban. Honestly, looking at your track record here, I’d personally hand out seven days.

And look, don't take this personally, but a Joke definitely isn't some complex PDF that requires a neuroscientist just to moderate. Sure, they should be treated with the same standard as any other PDF, but does a moderator need a PhD and a deep knowledge of the history of humor from the Stone Age to now? Absolutely not.

If you actually have an issue with how a moderator is doing their job, gather your links and file a formal Complaint book. This isn't that. This is just "I don't like silentsailor5, so let's complain."

Even before you bother asking on the unknown forum, this thread just earned you a massive penalty. You’ve basically handed us 100 points on a silver platter for violating PDF rules (complaining about that), being outright insulting (total delusions), and flooding the place with spam (that whole rant about McCormick).

placidfox55 said:We need to allow at least a few different threads. Right now, we have all this random junk—cooking tips, grocery hauls, everything—all crammed into one massive topic called "The American Dream." It gives me actual ADHD just trying to read through it. One second I'm reading about almonds, the next it's about McCormick seasoning, then suddenly it's an H1 visa discussion, followed by rent prices, Green Cards, fresh immigrants, and citizenship talks...

The US section already has specific topics:
- living in the US,
- immigration, emigration, Green Cards, education, and jobs in the US...

The problem isn't the structure; it's that nobody alive actually reads the rules and guidelines, which couldn't be any clearer. Even if the three of us spent 29 hours a day trying to reorganize things, we couldn't fix this mess if people wouldn't cooperate.

If users would just stop clinging to that ridiculous mantra that you are against us and instead just report a post that's in the wrong place—rather than quoting it dozens of times and replying to it just to tear it apart... life would be a whole lot easier for everyone.

But noooo... one person answers a question, someone else screams "idiot, wrong thread!", five more people chime in to "upvote" the correction, the twelfth person corrects the original info provider, and the fifteenth person files a report...

What exactly do you expect from us?

Why call us out when you find yourselves stuck in the middle of a total disaster, yet spit on us when we do everything in our power to prevent that exact disaster? Then suddenly, we're the villains, the bans-happy monsters, the freaks...

Is it really that hard to realize that we are breaking our backs every single day just to make this forum a better place for you, rather than trying to persecute anyone personally?

Paul Anderson7 said:I have one question for you too: Do you honestly think it’s fair that certain subreddits are moderated by users who don't even post there or read them regularly?

Look, setting aside all the nonsense in the rest of your posts, I’m going to give you a straight answer on this specific point:

Yes. I believe it is fair. Especially when an urgent need for a moderator pops up in one section of the site, and a moderator from another subreddit is willing to step in. And especially when we're talking about subreddits—don't get me wrong—like Jokes, where you seriously don't need a PhD to manage things.

People often mistake moderation by regular users as some kind of ego trip or a chance for someone to play dictator without having a clue what they're doing. But that’s just not the reality. Moderating is a serious job. It requires practice, learning, dedication, time, thick skin, and a deep understanding of Reddit rules. An existing moderator will find it easy to jump in and apply their experience to a new subreddit, whereas a random user who just started will struggle. That doesn't mean users aren't being upgraded to moderators every single day, though.

The point is: nobody knows everything about everything. Not even you know everything about the subreddit you feel most at home in. But someone who has already served as a moderator understands the mechanics of moderation, how to handle site-wide trolls, precedents, exceptions, and those little nuances that work in your favor. Never against you. 🙂

Paul Anderson7 said:This moderator of yours has been running a total reign of terror against a handful of users who dared to speak up when he brought his girlfriend in to moderate. It was a complete circus. Apparently, they broke up since then—if they were even actually together—so she’s gone now. I won't even get into the disgusting details of him bragging about how he treats her, implying that because he can boss her around, he can boss us around too.

Honestly, I should report myself for missing all of this... 🤣 😁

(And yes, I am absolutely certain that's exactly how it went down and nothing else. 😁)

Kate Foster12 said:Look, all this effort I make—avoiding trailers before and after the show, staying away from gossip sites, refusing to buy magazines like People—it’s all for nothing. The second I decide to jump on Reddit to share my thoughts about an episode, I’m immediately exposed. I end up tripping over spoilers like "he's definitely getting eliminated tomorrow," "they're cooking pork tomorrow, it'll be great," or "so-and-so is guest starring."

No. It’s worth absolutely nothing. That is entirely your own choice. And let’s get one thing straight: we aren't your personal security detail here to shield you from finding out what's being cooked tomorrow.

In one single post, you just proved exactly what we've been telling you all along.

velvettiger10 said:Exactly. 🤷

It’s honestly ridiculous how we’re punishing spoilers when CNN and every other news outlet are absolutely plastered with them. 🤷

Amen, velvettiger10! 🙏 🙏 🙏

The thing is, we get hit with mountains of reports every single day. I sit down at my computer, log on, check the report queue, and see 180 notifications—only to find out 45 of those are people relentlessly reporting spoilers for MasterChef. These are things that have already been leaked a thousand different ways across three different types of media. It’s infuriating.

We tried to strike a compromise to cool everyone down by banning posts about stuff that was already "out there," just in case someone hadn't seen it or read it yet... but let’s be real, that’s nonsense. Who is going to police that?

If you’re unhappy with information being leaked ahead of time, aim your fire at the MasterChef production crew or CNN (they're right behind them). This isn't on Reddit. If some guy was eating fries while watching a show, saw who’s moving on to the next episode during a commercial break, and posted about it—that’s not our fault.

Updates regarding the show's progress and what happens to the contestants are constantly being dumped into the world in massive quantities across multiple outlets. Someone seeing that info and sharing it here might be accused of being spiteful, but they aren't a spoiler.

Look, if I tell you right now that the Pope is coming to America, are you going to report me for spoiling it? Okay, that’s an extreme example, I get it. But the sheer volume of these "spoiler" reports is extreme too. It’s not just a few complaints. It’s a bombardment.

If you’re asking me, I would have shut this thread down ages ago. It’s just an endless stream of spoilers that are already being blasted across every single news outlet and social media feed out there. Yet, here we are, trying to be accommodating by banning mentions of things that have been discussed a thousand different ways through a thousand different ingredients... and somehow, it’s still not enough for everyone. Honestly, I haven't seen this much unnecessary tension in a space that's supposed to be about pure enjoyment. Cooking makes me happy; I love experimenting with new recipes and finding inspiration. It doesn't turn me into a mass murderer. Personally, seeing this topic even exist gets under my skin, but hey, that's just my two cents. Take it or leave it.

I genuinely don't get what people expect from us here. What's the actual problem?

I’ve seen a few different doctors, and honestly, my impression is that they just exploit the situation by endlessly renewing prescriptions.
I’ve been on Xanax for about 4 or 5 years now, usually taking between 2 and 4 mg.
I want to get off this stuff so badly, but I just can't. It’s absolute hell when I miss a dose.
Does anyone have experience using herbal remedies, maybe some St. John's Wort or something similar, just to help me stop the Xanax? I feel like a total addict.
How did I end up becoming so dependent on Xanax?!!?

Look, I probably won't be much help, but Elon Musk?! One day I missed my Hepar doses and had to grab an old box of that stuff, and I still felt like garbage. Is it even possible to get that physically dependent on something? (Unless you're built like a tiny little Yorkie, anyway.) Are you absolutely sure it isn't just psychological? 😲

Soundvision hit the nail on the head, and honestly, I’ve got nothing left to add except this: it’s always the same old song and dance. It’s always the same handful of people getting picked on while everyone else gets a pass. If it isn't one user, it's another—it's always Vespasian or someone else. You have millions of users here, yet the same few people are perpetually being treated like they're the only ones ever breaking rules. It reminds me of how people act when they're being condescendingly polite just to mask an insult. If you told someone they were ugly, they'd call for the moderators in a heartbeat. But if you spend all day saying, "Good morning, gorgeous," or "Hey honey, watch your tone," they’ll claim you're being abusive. It's the exact same toxic energy you see in those obsessive, compulsive internet trolls who won't stop attacking a poor spouse or kid. You guys just never quit. Whether it's Bojan Džukela, some random guy, or some low-life nobody—are we running a civilized discussion on Reddit or are we at a flea market? If you can't meet the standard of discourse here on Reddit, go find some other corner of the internet where you can just spray your nonsense everywhere without consequence. 🤷

Kenneth Scott41 said:Honestly, Misar is just struggling. I mean, maybe try some 1mg Xanax or even 1mg Helix yourself, then you'll really see what's what.🙂

I’d give a 100 mg dose of Helix to a kitten just to get it to take a nap. As for Xanaxje, it’s the exact same crap as Misar; different manufacturer, but in my experience, Misar works way better.

The idea for Messer actually came to me when a friend handed me a box of her 0.5 mg pills. I was losing my absolute mind—just spiraling hard. I’d go from zero to sixty, slamming down five or six of them at once just to get the internal screaming to stop. Honestly? It was the only way to finally shut up the constant, frantic arguments I was having with the imaginary tenants living in my head. 😁Honestly, I’ve realized this pill is an absolute game-changer. I’m sleeping like royalty, and I actually wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world. And you are spot on about the timing—I am strictly in bed by 9:00 PM at the latest.

The 2mg dose they prescribed is tailored specifically to my body chemistry, so I think it actually has a shot at working. My only real fear is how it might clash with the Fevarin. Last time Fevarin and I were hanging out, my boss had to practically shake me awake at 11 in the morning because I was face-down on my desk, basically drowning in a puddle of drool. 🙈

We'll just have to wait and see how things play out. 🤔

So far, Messer is killing it. It’s actually pretty interesting—and I’ve heard this from others before—that people claim it’s just another manufacturer's version of Xanax. To me? It feels like a completely different beast altogether. 🤔 I’ve popped both the white and pink xanax—somewhere between two and three milligrams, I'd guess. Honestly, I could pick them out with my eyes closed. 😁
