"Is this movie a remake of Halloween 2 ?"
The answer is no. This movie has absolutely nothing to do with the one released back in 1981. I guess the only tiny similarity is that my film features a quick hospital scene near the beginning, but even that is 100% different. We're talking entirely new characters and totally new setups here. This isn't some remake of a sequel; it's just the continuation of the Halloween I started. Hopefully, that clears things up.
The producer behind Halloween II, Malek Akkad, just gave the word that the first teaser for Rob Zombie's Halloween II is going to be attached to prints of Crank 2: High Voltage when it hits theaters next Friday on the 17th. I'm guessing we'll probably see the trailer pop up online right around then, too.

The energy in this thing is incredible, and I’d honestly recommend it to everyone!
The script is so well put together, especially with how the dance scenes and directing work, that you don't even notice the usual clichés. Plus, the characters actually feel real.
Just by being such an innovative blend of teen and dance genres, it kind of moves past being "cliché" altogether.
It’s a top-tier teen movie, and honestly, it’s a pretty good comedy too, with some genuinely funny moments.
The Clovers deserved that win COMPLETELY. Their dancing was phenomenal. 👍 Both at the national and regional levels. The Bulls earned second place too, and they definitely worked for it. I don't think their race mattered at all.

Anyway, the original Last House is pretty gruesome... honestly, I'm just glad Wes moved on to much better substances about twelve years later and filmed the greatest horror movie ever made.

Recasting Young Michael was not something I wanted to do, but the scenes just didn't work anymore. Daeg isn't a little kid anymore; he’s a teenager with a deep voice now. Once you actually sit down and watch it, you'll get why I went this route. It wasn't an easy call and I definitely didn't make it lightly. Daeg killed it in Halloween, but stuff changes. I think the kid is incredibly talented and I wish him nothing but the best.

Sure, he was stuck in the hospital for like twenty years, but if he somehow learned how to drive without ever actually sitting in a car, he might as well have picked up a suit of armor while he was at it. Plus, this whole story (and the old series, at least the first two) really benefits from them being connected... at least you can see the effort and the creativity put into it.

I actually liked how the old sequel ended, with them just burning Michael, though it's pretty obvious Carpenter only wrote it to capitalize on the love for the first one (even if you can feel his influence all over the film)... plus, the whole slasher craze about psychopaths chasing innocent girls had just kicked off with the first part, so he figured he'd add another chapter. And hey, the remake has Malcolm McDowell in it too.
