Paul Newman5 said:Had my checkup yesterday. My Effexor dose was bumped up to 75 mg, and I’m still taking Calixta in the evenings—though I’ll admit I’m inconsistent because getting out of bed in the morning is such a struggle. Told my doctor that, so she added 50 mg of Sulpiride for the mornings. It’s the anxiety that gets me; it feels like this constant tension, like I'm on the verge of a panic attack even when I'm not actually having one. Has anyone here used Sulpiride or Eglonyl? I’ve read all the clinical stuff regarding ingredients and side effects, but I want to know what it’s actually like from people who have taken it. Does it actually touch the anxiety for you? I know everyone reacts differently, but I value the input here. I know there were threads about Sulpiride from a while back, but if anyone is currently on it, let me know how it's working. Any side effects even at these low doses? Or any benefits? Popped two 37.5 mg Effexor pills this morning (until I hit the doctor tomorrow to get the 75 mg script) and somehow I already feel physically stronger. Is it possible to feel that immediately after a dose increase—I've been on 37.5 mg for almost five months—or do I really need to wait a few days? Too many questions, I guess, but your experiences mean a lot. One more thing... for those on Effexor, is the standard 75 mg better than the extended-release version I was given? Personally, I find Xanax or the regular version works better for me than the XR.
I tried Eglonyl once and honestly, it wasn't anything special. My issues were pretty mild back then compared to now, and I wasn't nearly as anxious, yet that stuff couldn't even fix the little bit of anxiety I did have.
Grandpa's headed in for surgery this Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on how backed up the hospital is. They haven't given us any kind of prognosis yet.
Michelle Kelly4 said:Must be nice if that's your experience. Me and shadowfox75 are going through absolute hell every single day, but we'll get through it. Pretty sure we aren't the only ones either...
if that's how it is? 🤣 Nah, it's not even about that. I honestly don't have anything better to do than troll people who actually follow orders 🎉.
And obviously, I'm not lying. What would I even gain from that?
Michelle Kelly4 said:Checking back in again... Things haven't changed, but they feel pretty awful... Anyone else dealt with the struggle of tapering off meds?
Every time I’ve tapered off, it was smooth sailing—except for when I tried to get off Xanax. That was straight-up hell.
ironotter5 said:I’m curious—has anyone else dealt with a drop in libido or issues with impotence while on antidepressants? How did you guys handle it?
So, I was originally on one specific antidepressant that was totally killing my sex drive and causing some performance issues. Since I'm only 23, I definitely wasn't thrilled about it, so I brought it up with my psychiatrist. She suggested a "switcheroo" approach: slowly tapering off the first medication while simultaneously starting a different one. Now I'm wondering, should I be expecting things to get back to normal regarding my drive and performance once the transition is done? Thanks!
A ton of people run into this. Honestly, I don't think there’s a magic fix—from what I can find, it’s just how the meds work for certain folks. It's just part of the deal with some of these drugs.
Paul Newman5 said:I'm done playing games with you all, so just give me my toys back... that's how kids act. You won't be writing here anymore either. Both yours and mine are valid points, but just because we argue doesn't mean we can't get back to the discussion later. I'm not making excuses for my Lexapro either; I take it, I have anxiety, and I can't function without it because they haven't found the right AT&T dose yet. That isn't an excuse. And the constant poking at people is just inappropriate. It sounds like how my 17-year-old talks, but at her age, you can let it slide. Just keep posting whatever you want, honey, and I'll do the same. When we fight, we'll split up the toys and go our separate ways, then once things calm down, we'll get back to the game.
Don't you get what "going off-topic" actually implies? I don't feel like fighting, which is why I said I was leaving. I didn't mean forever. God.🤣
I'm sorry if I have to watch my tone when I talk to you. Maybe I should even call you "Ma'am," since you're clearly a more experienced, older woman who's obviously bothered by casual slang. My sincerest apologies for any emotional distress I may have caused you.👋
(P.S. Usually, dead arguments on this forum don't drag on for five days straight. 😉)
Honestly, I’m not even saving right now because there isn't anything left to save 😁. Once I land a job, though, I’m setting up a high-yield savings account immediately and putting a recurring transfer on autopilot to move a chunk of cash over every single month.
Jason Vaughn482 said:You’re far too high-strung to be speaking about me in such a manner. While I’m certainly not suggesting anyone needs a physical reprimand, I make it a point to remain civil when offering advice or asking questions; I don't lash out at people like this. But then again, you’re still young and haven't quite grasped the reality of what lies ahead, even if you think you're handling your treatment "properly"... and if you truly have no connection to Kevin Nguyen3, I fail to see why you're acting as his defense attorney... because I addressed him directly, and I stand firmly behind everything I wrote; if he has something to say, he can step up and say it himself.
Maybe I am young, but I've dealt with enough anxiety to know a thing or two.
I'm one of those people who isn't exactly "doing things by the book" when it comes to treatment, but I'm not going to lie about it or make excuses.
I'm done posting here. This is getting way too personal.
Paul Newman5 said:Nobody's looking for a magic pill. But when you've spent two years seeing doctors without getting the right prescription (I actually stick to my regimen), and they won't even believe you when you report side effects... sometimes I wonder how we're supposed to trust them either. Bluzara acts like everything is fine and perfect, but then turns around and dismisses anyone else's experience as if they're making it up or just uneducated. Honestly, maybe I think his story sounds fake too, like when he claims he doesn't feel hungover the next morning after taking something. It feels like there's this little clique on this forum—a handful of people who've been on meds for years and hang out here together. The second someone posts something different or says something "wrong," they jump in to condescend to us or lecture us. Of course, they immediately start talking about how long they've been medicated and how they're "experts." Vegga is just anxious and naturally worried about side effects, which is why they struggle with consistency, yet you immediately cut them down by saying they're looking for a miracle cure. Real comforting.
Oh please, what, should we give her a spanking for that? We're all struggling here, so come on—how can you be so rude 🙂 🙄.
Jason Vaughn482 just doesn't want to follow the treatment plan properly. Simple as that.
And I don't have anything against Bluzara; I'm just looking at what one person is saying versus the other.
Listen, Dawn, you simply cannot ignore the gravity of this situation any longer. To pretend otherwise isn't just optimistic; it’s bordering on delusional. We are standing at a precipice where the consequences of inaction will far outweigh the temporary comfort of silence. It’s much like watching a slow-moving storm front roll across the Midwest—you can see the clouds darkening on the horizon, you can feel the pressure dropping in your chest, yet some people still insist on sitting on their porches enjoying the afternoon sun as if the sky isn't about to break wide open. One cannot simply wish away the impending deluge. kaže: I personally tapered off my Paxil and felt absolutely nothing—not even a flicker of a withdrawal symptom. In my experience, Lexapro was a far more brutal ordeal to navigate. So, this whole notion that everyone "just sails through" the weaning process is complete nonsense. Even if you had a thousand people claiming their transition was seamless, you could still be the outlier who actually suffered through it. Experience isn't a monolith, and one person's smooth ride doesn't invalidate another's struggle.
It strikes me that this individual refuses to take a single pill without being prompted, yet they seem to harbor this delusional misconception about how medical consultations actually function. They approach their doctor with the same casual, entitled air one might use when strolling through a Kroger, essentially barking orders like, "Alright, doc, toss in twenty-five milligrams of this and ten milligrams of that," as if they’re just picking up groceries off a shelf. It’s as if they fail to grasp that medicine isn't a buffet where you simply grab what looks good; unfortunately, some people just refuse to understand the gravity of how professional healthcare is supposed to work.
It is my personal ritual to frequent specialized forums dedicated to specific medications just to scour the user experiences; I find there is nothing else to it, though I am under no illusions that one single prescription will yield identical results for every individual. I can't be entirely certain if that second part was directed at me, but I find myself in a similar position; I am also managing medications prescribed by my psychiatrist. Naturally, I have to be far more vigilant regarding potential side effects. I am certainly not some twenty or thirty-year-old with an untouched constitution; I have to contend with high blood pressure and other realities of aging. It is fundamentally different to treat a young person compared to an older individual who is already navigating the complexities of chronic health conditions. I fail to see any inherent flaw in the pursuit of a specific AD; after all, nearly everyone in this community tends to trial almost every available option until they finally stumble upon the one that truly resonates with their needs and provides the necessary relief.
It sounds like you just don't trust your doctor enough to prescribe something decent. You aren't the only one feeling that way, and frankly, I'll never get why that's the mindset.
Besides, you admitted yourself that you don't even take your meds properly—you'll take one for a few days and then just quit. Sorry to burst the bubble, but there's no magic pill that's going to fix your anxiety overnight.
You’re acting like you’ve gone deaf to all the warnings about this fake rule. Honestly, you're making the forum just as unreadable as everyone else who uses Tapatalk signatures, or those people who italicize and bold every single word, or the ones posting in a rainbow of colors—making it impossible to spot a moderator warning. See the pattern? Unless something is actually an official rule, there shouldn't be any bans.
And like I said, I was only looking for nicin's response. The fact that you decided to drag this whole argument out...
I was just looking for an answer from rustydrifter10 because your stance is pretty obvious—since you're basically the one handing out the penalties, it wouldn't make sense if you didn't agree with them 🤔.
I’ve never done it, but I’ve never once accused brighttinker48 of anything either, mostly because he’s a moderator. Besides being good at his job, he’s actually a decent, polite guy who’s willing to help out and doesn't look down on the "average users" like some other mods do. Don't put words in my mouth; that's just low.
The way you forbid people from quoting someone above them when it isn't even in the rules is just as ridiculous as rustydrifter10 slapping you with a penalty right now because you write your posts like they're bad poetry. Let's not act like anyone here is perfect, and posts like these are probably annoying to a lot of people.
Jason Vaughn482 said:So, you're suggesting people just make up stories to excuse their habit of swallowing everything in sight? Honestly, looking at that list of yours, my head starts spinning... anyone would be out cold after a cocktail like that. Personally, I've been taking Ambien at 10 mg for four years and it does the trick, though if I can't drift off because my anxiety is spiking, I prefer having some Calixt at 15 mg—or even half a dose—to help me fall asleep quickly. At the end of the day, I can't sleep without a pill, likely because I haven't managed to resolve the underlying issue, which is my anxiety. I desperately want to find that one perfect medication that would allow me to sleep soundly without needing xanax, though I know some people still rely on benzos even while taking antidepressants. The truth is, coming off certain antidepressants is incredibly difficult; I've read plenty about how brutal it is to taper off something like Paxil... so I don't think you're entirely correct in your assessment.
I weaned myself off Paxil and felt fine. For me, Lexapro was way more of a nightmare. So that whole "I read about it" thing doesn't really hold water. Even if a thousand people wrote that weaning off was easy, you can still be the one person who had the opposite experience.
Blueberry doesn't just go around popping pills whenever she feels like it. It seems like she doesn't quite get that seeing a doctor isn't like going to Target and being like, "Hey, give me 25mg of this and 10mg of that." That's not how it works, but I guess some people just don't get it.
Wait, what? What does quoting images even have to do with anything, especially since that’s not allowed here anyway? 😕🤣
I honestly don't care who you were sending stuff to via PM because, frankly, it's none of my business. I came here with a simple question, and you're just making things complicated for no reason.
loneraven25 said:It’s pointless. I'm just quoting what you said in that first intro post. I'm bolding the part that talks about... your previous post.
I only wrote that post to make it clear that this isn't just some mindless echo chamber where everyone just jumps in to say "I agree." That’s exactly how the whole thread spiraled out of control.
I was just giving some examples. If we're gonna argue about cardboard, I'm not gonna drop a picture of some flower as "proof." Instead, I'll just post someone else's cardboard. Not that I'm actually complaining or asking for them to be banned or anything—I'm not looking for an explanation either. Just putting it out there. Example..
I actually agree with what rustydrifter10 put down. I’ll quote it here just in case you missed it 🙂
rustydrifter10 said:It's not against the rules and there's no penalty for it. We've gone over this plenty of times and my stance hasn't changed. If anyone actually got a warning because of this, hit me up and I'll clear it. I'm asking the mods one more time to stop overmoderating—just let people use quotes unless they're being totally excessive.
Cruces said:The warranty lasts a year, damn them 😠 I guess they set it so the battery lasts exactly one year while under warranty, and then we're just left wondering what to do. Can I swap the battery myself, or do I have to haul the phone into a repair shop? Because the specs say it's non-removable.

tomo100brt said:If you can find one somewhere (you'd have to crack it open first to see the battery type), you could swap it. It's not exactly easy since it's glued in and comes out almost last. Better to just take it to a pro because I doubt you'll even find the part lying around. Check the manual and see if you can handle it yourself. http://www.cpkb.org/wiki/Sony_LT22_L...service_manual

And I have one question to start things off: how do you do a PrtSc... on this? On the T, it was an option when holding the power button, but there's nothing here?.. Or is there some trick like on an HTC?

tomo100brt said:I'm not sure what you mean by PrtSc, but I think you're talking about taking a screenshot. There are two ways to do it. The faster way is to hold the volume down and power buttons at the same time. The slower way is to find the Active clip in small apps and use that to snap the photo.

Honestly, I practically drove across the entire country just to track down that phone. It was the only place you could actually find one.

If you pull the trigger on an order first thing tomorrow morning, you'll have it by the second day—pretty much the same turnaround even if you're living right in the heart of D.C. You could even just swing by their shop and pick it up in person. I'm pretty sure they're located over at the Importanne Galleria, so if you do that, you should be all set. $167 It’s actually cheaper than at the Sony Center, which honestly isn't nothing.

Look, we aren't talking about people just quoting paychecks just to say, "Yeah, I agree." This is about a guy on the forum actually giving real advice when someone asks a specific question.
E Just to be clear, I don't actually know this user—we've never even spoken. It just caught my eye that he's racked up a ton of warnings on various threads about different Xperia Ts.
