Bad news on our end, unfortunately. It looks like there’s no real cure. It’s basically just a matter of managing how much time is left—whether you go through with the surgery or not, it just shifts the timeline.

Maybe it depends on the specific medication, or even just how your own body reacts—plus, the tapering process is key. You really have to go slow, dropping by a quarter pill at a time, just like when you're starting a new one.🤷
Honestly, I just stopped taking all three cold turkey. One day I realized I hadn't taken them, and that was it—nothing happened. Guess it really does just come down to the individual.

this. It happens to some people when they taper off antidepressants, but I went off Paxil and didn't deal with a single issue. Honestly, I bet I would've felt it if someone had warned me, "Hey, watch out for side effects," because I end up manifesting a whole list of symptoms just by overthinking things and reading too much on 😁.
From what I can tell, it’s just a quick little "shock"—kind of like a bolt of lightning shooting through your brain.
Who are the 5 people you spend the most time with?

I don't know, man. That theory just doesn't hold water for me.

To minimize any potential withdrawal symptoms or side effects, we have a transition plan in place. I will start on Lamictal at 50mg (half dose in the morning, zero at noon, one in the evening) for fourteen days, followed by a full dose (one-zero-one) for another fourteen days. Once stabilized, I will taper off the Paxil using half doses. If she experiences severe side effects, we will adjust the plan based on our verbal agreement. Please keep me in your thoughts as I manage this transition.😠
If it helps at all (though I doubt it 😁), I didn't get a single brain zap when I was coming off Paxil. 🙂

For a few weeks now, I've been taking 20mg of Prozac every morning and 0.5mg of Xanax at night for depression. So far, I haven't dealt with any side effects, and honestly, I think they're helping a little bit—but that’s not really my main concern right now...
I know you aren't supposed to mix alcohol with medication, but I have plans to go out tonight, and I'd really love to have a drink or two. I'm just not sure how smart that is. Is it going to make me feel terrible?
I'm not sure if the antidepressant will cause much trouble, but the second one worries me a bit. I was thinking maybe I should just skip the Xanax on the night I plan to drink?
p.s.—I know I probably sound pretty immature, but the truth is, I don't want to be stuck drinking soda all night while everyone else is having fun. Plus, I hate having to answer those annoying questions like, "Why aren't you drinking?" So, I'm wondering what I can safely have, and how much, without feeling like a zombie by morning.
Just decide which matters more: your mental health or getting trashed on a night out. If it's the first one—don't touch it. If it's the second—well, damn. I can't give you any advice on alcohol because everyone reacts differently. For me, I haven't touched a drop since I started meds back in early 2010.

Unfortunately, malignant tumors are more common than benign ones (like oncocytomas or juxtaglomerular ones).
Malignant types could be, for instance, clear cell carcinomas or papillary ones.
You’ll have a better idea once the procedure is done and they get the pathology results back.
Yeah, things will be clearer then, but this waiting game beforehand is brutal. The uncertainty, the anticipation... watching my grandfather visibly wither away from the stress (mentally) and the illness itself (physically). It's gut-wrenching to watch him like this, but we all have to stay strong for him. He's the one going through the worst of it, no matter how hard it is for us.

My grandad's heading in for kidney removal because of a tumor, so I was wondering—how long does the recovery actually take after surgery?
My grandfather—who I am incredibly close to—has a kidney tumor. He’s heading into the hospital this Monday for more tests, and then we’ll be playing the waiting game for an operating date. They're planning to take out his entire kidney, but they’ve already warned us that the surgery itself is super complicated and high-risk, and honestly, the recovery sounds just as brutal. My granddad is 70+, if that matters at all.

Telling someone to just live off some protein powder all day simply because they’re feeling lazy? That’s stupid and irresponsible, so I’m definitely not going to do that.
Whatever.👋

Look, it's your call, but let's be real:
a) you could just brush them some other way
b) or duck into a bathroom stall and give them a proper scrub
It’s not like that's impossible. I’ve definitely heard of people doing both, and nobody ended up starving or living exclusively on Red Bull because of it.

I know plenty of people who rocked braces and ate basically whatever they wanted without much drama. Honestly, I find it hard to believe you can't find five minutes to hit the restroom and brush your teeth.

You can try looking for them, but honestly, who knows if you'll actually find anything useful. Personally, I wouldn't even bother mentioning him or watching Dr. Oz.

I’ve cycled through a bunch of different pills before, and honestly, none of them really hit the mark mentally. Now I’m on these ones that actually work for my head, but man, they are absolutely killing me in other ways—the weight gain is just unreal.
Is there anything I can even do about it, or should I just pull the plug and stop taking them altogether?

Of course, anyone posting a glowing review for some doctor or hospital is either related to them or on the payroll, right? 🤣
Some people just straight-up can't wrap their heads around the idea that someone else might have a different opinion—or, you know, actually lived through a totally different experience. I honestly don't know whether to laugh or cry about it 🤣.

My wife mentioned I could just shoot her an email if anything in the paperwork is confusing or if I have any general questions. For whatever reason, she had to do my exam using those Virgo instruments and basically just one finger—something my social worker never even breathed a word about, and honestly, she’s about as gentle as a tractor 😬. Anyway, I told her once I've saved up enough cash, I'm heading over to Sun Insurance to see that same doctor again. She actually took a second to explain things that my social worker couldn't be bothered to mention in a lifetime.
So I headed over to Sun Insurance for a women's health checkup and saw Dr. Lučić. Honestly? It was great. Easily the best gynecological exam I've ever had in my life.
I need to head over to the hospital in Springfield for a breast exam (over at surgery near the CT and EEG departments), and I’m trying to figure out the wait times. When the nurse tried to get me on the schedule, she mentioned they have walk-in availability, which supposedly means I could just show up whenever 🤔. I managed to snag a phone number so I'll give them a ring tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone here has been there recently? If you have some firsthand experience with how long things actually take, let me know.

I've been dealing with this for about a year now, both on Mozilla and Chrome. It works fine on other forums, though.
