Yeah, you can. I mean, maybe try some witch hazel tincture? I’m not entirely sure if every CVS or Walgreens carries it, but honestly, it was a total lifesaver for me.
I mean, I think it’s kind of wild to expect you to just bring your brother along for the ride when you move in with a girlfriend.🤷 You’ve gotta find some other way to handle that situation, because honestly, that sounds like a total recipe for disaster. Why can't he just stay with his parents?
I mean, if you don't actually roll up your sleeves and get to work, you're probably not going to fix it. Looking at all the similar threads floating around here, I’ve kind of gathered that most people don't really solve their issues; they just pop in, vent for a bit to blow off some steam, and then go right back to their old habits. They have their ups and downs, I guess, until they eventually find themselves opening yet another thread!🤣
Look, I know I’m probably going to get dogpiled for this, but honestly, that whole thread about plastic cutlery and other random nonsense... I feel like it actually explains everything about why she ended up the way she is. You guys are constantly hovering over her, jumping to fix everything and basically enabling all these little whims of hers. If you ask me, she’s become this spoiled version of herself because that’s exactly how she was raised. She never really got the chance to learn how to stand on her own two feet or build up any actual self-respect. But hey, it is what it is. I’m not saying you guys are bad parents—I’m sure you did the best you could with what you had—but usually, when you take that hyper-protective approach, it ends up creating kids who are essentially helpless, without any real tools to handle life's stresses.
Sure, you could frame it that way if you really wanted to, but I mean, why on earth would someone react like that over just a few drops of blood?! It didn't strike me as being particularly normal, honestly.🤣 What exactly is the body even fighting against here? There isn't any actual danger present. Besides, I haven't really come across anyone who acts like this without there being some kind of psychological component behind it, I guess.🤷
I mean, honestly, I think it’s mostly just a psychological thing at this point. You’re totally fine, really, you’re just maybe overthinking things a bit too much or reacting a little more intensely than usual.
I’d say I’m pretty damn honest when it comes to my own business, maybe even a little too much sometimes—it’s actually kind of scary how blunt I can be about myself.🙄 But, I don't know, when it comes to dropping some hard truth on someone else about their own life, I usually just end up biting my tongue, mostly because I've realized that being "honest" can really just piss people off more than it helps.😁

I mean, I guess the only way that works is if you're looking for some kind of pushover you can just manipulate whenever you feel like it.😁 Personally, having a partner who just doesn't catch on to anything would probably drive me absolutely insane.
Nathan Foster4 said:Every single naive person I know either had naive parents, or they grew up with manipulative parents who intentionally raised them to be easy targets so they could pull their strings even more effectively. 🤣
I'm putting my money on upbringing, environment, and lifestyle. Genetics? I don't think so. If you take two average-intelligence naive parents, their kid could grow up to be a master manipulator among a group of scammers if they're taught how to play the game. It's just like the dynamic between Ezel and Omer in that drama series from a few years back.
Well, my mom is definitely naive, and her parents? They’re calculated as hell, kind of like working at a big corporate firm in Chicago.☕

The individual who prompted this entire discussion actually comes from a family of very wise parents, which makes this massive decline even more baffling. Sure, maybe those parents made a mistake—perhaps they just wanted to shield their child from the harsh realities of the world by feeding them fairy tales—but now we're left with a fully grown adult who has learned how to just sit there and take it...
But honestly, I don't think that's what happened here; it's more like what Nathan Foster4 was getting at. They raised her specifically so she could be manipulated. I mean, I don't even think she realizes what they're actually like, even now.🤣
So, my last two cycles have been pretty short, lasting about 21 days.😕 And then this time, it just hit me out of nowhere right at day 21—no warning signs or anything, which is weird because I usually get those classic PMS symptoms before my period actually starts. I guess I'm just sitting here wondering what to make of all this.😢
Keith Ortiz4 said:So, I’m out for a walk today with my three-month-old (who basically lives in my arms), and we decide to stop at an outdoor patio for a quick break. I order two sparkling waters, and within minutes, the baby just starts crying. It’s not just a whimper—it’s a full-on meltdown. I tried holding him, but nothing worked; he just wanted to be carried. He was clearly overstimulated and fussy. Honestly, I felt so embarrassed. In a moment of total desperation, I just set him down to lie there and cry for about ten minutes while I had a cigarette and finished my water. Eventually, the crying turned into this intense, piercing screaming.
Just a few yards away, there was this group of about six people in their 30s, and they were staring at me the whole time.
When I finally decided to head out, I apologized for the noise. They didn't even say anything back; one of them just gave a little wave, like a "whatever" gesture.
I really want to know what you guys think. Was I being judged?
Was it because I was being "rude" by staying and making everyone listen to the screaming instead of just leaving immediately? Or were they judging me for letting the baby cry while I sat there calmly smoking and drinking?
How would you have reacted if you saw this happening? What would your take be, and honestly, how should I have handled it?
It was probably the second one, I guess. Personally, I don't really make it my business how other people live their lives, so I wouldn't have done anything at all.🤣 Unfortunately, it seems like most people can't find anything better to do than stick their noses where they don't belong.
Alexander Rivera20 said:Or maybe today's kids just have such shot hearing from all those loud political parties and constant MP3 players that nobody even notices anymore?
I mean, I definitely notice it too, especially since half my day is spent with headphones glued to my ears anyway.😁
I don't really see that as a brave move at all, if I'm being honest—it feels more like a total cop-out to me.😁 It’s just taking the path of least resistance because people are panicking about getting sick, even though, you know, they might not even end up catching anything in the first place. Calling it courage? Yeah, right. I guess I'd call it something else entirely.🙂
Honestly, alcohol just hits me all wrong lately, which is kind of a bummer because it wasn't always this way, I guess. It’s actually pretty depressing, if I'm being real, that I can't really enjoy a drink anymore without feeling like absolute garbage.😁 So, why is this even happening, and what’s the actual deal with all of this? I mean, is there even a fix for it, or are we just kind of stuck dealing with it? Maybe there's a way out, but honestly, I guess it's hard to say for sure. Honestly, I don't really have any issues when it comes to coffee, I guess. It’s just one of those things that seems fine for me, maybe? Not sure why anyone would make a big deal out of it, but as far as my own routine goes, I'm good.

(And I haven't even been stressed out, my diet hasn't changed at all, and I haven't traveled anywhere recently. Everything about my lifestyle is pretty much exactly the same as it's always been. 😢 )
Morgan Fowler3 said:Hey, just checking here to see if anyone has an idea what this might be before I head to my OB-GYN. 😁
That's wild. Looks like I'm probably going to get mine 10 days early too, I guess.🙄 This has honestly never happened to me before.🤷
Yeah, basically the poster child for anxiety right there.😁 But hey, you didn't actually mention how those "three types of pills" ended up working for you?
Honestly, I’m dealing with every single one of those symptoms myself, though I think it’s mostly just anxiety acting up. As far as my thyroid goes, everything seems totally fine there.
