Regarding the first part 😁 Yeah, I can't :/ Not on Lowe's 🙂
And about the second thing 😍 It’s not that it bothers me, per se, it’s just that it feels weird (!) how on some other forums I can edit a post after about 6 minutes without it showing an "Edited" tag, yet on Lowe's, it always shows up!
If you have the ability to delete a post on Lowe's immediately after posting it, I don't—not that I 🙂 😁
I would take a screenshot, but I really have to run 🙂
And maybe it isn't exactly 6 minutes on those other sites 🙂, BUT I am pretty sure—actually, certain—that it's longer than it is on Lowe's. Because, you know, I'll be lurking on another forum, and after 5 minutes (I'm positive it's been 5 mins 😁), I'll come back to a thread to rephrase something.
I was actually going to ask about this over in the admin FAQ section, but I see that thread is already locked 😵
Anyway, I noticed that on IEEE, there isn't an option to delete your own posts. Now, some people might think this is totally unimportant and probably find my point silly (!) .. 😛 😁
BUT, whenever it says "last edit", (since my forum settings are set to 'American' 😬) it really bothers me 😱
I mean, sure, if it happens 10 or 15 minutes after the initial post, fine. But it's only been exactly 6 minutes and it already shows "last edit" 🤣 I seem to remember Phifer mentioning once that the PDF moderators actually control how that works 🤔 (I'm not entirely certain!)
Why does it happen so fast? I get that IEEE is a very high-traffic (😁) active forum, and maybe that’s why there’s no delete button, but it would be nice if we had one 😍😍 Or at least a longer grace period before that "last edit" tag appears on a post.
For instance, when something like that happens on US sites, if it says "last edit" (even after 9 minutes!), I can just quickly copy my text, delete the post, and repost it immediately. That way everything looks clean without that annoying underline and explanation *sigh*
Hala! And look, I'm not expecting anything to change, I'm just curious :lizalica: =)
One more thing—the unnecessary use of the ampersand symbol ("&"). For instance, in the Morning or Evening editions of Home and Garden -> Home and Garden. It's just silly. We have the word "and" for a reason. I see that "&" everywhere, and honestly, it really gets under my skin.
That bothers me too, 🙂, mostly because it’s just aesthetically ugly 🥳 😁
It also drives me crazy when I see these wanna-be columnists who attach negatives directly to verbs, or things like... 🤔 Writing "jel" instead of "is it," along with all those other little idiocies I can't even think of right now 🙂
Oh, right! 😬 This "wanna-be" thing is an actual expression. A phrase that can be perfectly sarcastic if used correctly 😍 I mean, sometimes you just have to say it

Pro 😂
It just occurred to me that there’s something else that bothers me. It isn't directly related to the topic, but still...
🍿 Can this thread just become a place to vent about everything that bugs us? 😍
It’s total Americanization of our speech. And I don't mean slang or casual talk, but official language—especially on TV news.
Hahaha, you're just like my Friend!
But yeah, that gets to me too. A little bit... Even things like saying "stage" instead of the actual word, or "makeup," or even just how frequently—if not constantly—English words get shoved into sentences.
Like: "Wait, why on earth are you using so many ellipses? Like, really?!" 😬
Why does it have to be makeup instead of cosmetics? Stage instead of the theater? Friend instead of a companion?
Sometimes I feel like people are actually embarrassed to say certain words. Like they aren't "cool" enough. For example, I'm using an anglicism right now 🤣 But some of them are already so ingrained in daily conversation that it's basically impossible to root them out 😍
Just tilting at windmills... 🙂
I get that some things can't be translated, but when I hear someone on ABC say something like: "In our next showbiz report, we'll see makeup artists preparing celebrities for their appearance on stage," it makes my skin crawl.
Jesus, that word "celebrity" sounds so pretentious to me. I can practically picture the news anchor saying it perfectly 🤣
Yeah : ) The best part was realizing right after watching that episode that it was actually based on that movie. That movie is absolute trash : )
True, someone suggested the movie to me, but I just don't have the patience for that 😬 I realized immediately what they were parodying 🥳 😛 Right away 🙂 😁
Wait, am I seeing this correctly... One, two, three... Six point five? : D
See, that isn't accidental or just a habit; it's totally intentional 😈
Ah, my irresistible charm, what it does to a girl who hates decimals : )
"You'll have to try a little harder if you want to get me into bed." 🤣

A friend and I were actually talking about this just yesterday 🤣 And basically 😁 He told me he used to do it because a period at the end of a sentence felt too blunt. Which actually makes sense to me.
I hadn't considered that could be the reason 😍 🙈 😵
But, honestly, I think a lovely little smiley face is a much better substitute for those harsh periods 😍
In some sort of perfect world of mine, there would be a limit on ... /...... per post 🙂 capped at 15 points maximum 🥳
And look, if I found myself dating a guy who used a million different pick-up lines—just out of habit, you know—I’d probably let it slide... but I would definitely find a way to subtly ask him why 😍 Why? Just why... Good grief 🙂
That kind of Multifaceted approach could really be the death of any potential romance I might have starting up 🙂 😍 😁
Michelle Collins74 said:haven't you noticed that new trend yet? splitting up words 🙂 'wanna' 'gonna' 'gotta' no, I just don't get it; maybe I'm just too slow to catch on. I have a thing about those spaces... I've never written "wanna" as two separate words, nor will I ever... 😁
I've never written "wanna" separately either 🙂 😁
When it comes to grammar and spelling, I'm actually pretty careful with my writing 🙂 But since this is just an online forum, even I can't stay immune to seeing :napišemonakokakočitam: 😍 😍
Sometimes it actually works for me 🥳 😂
And it's exactly what frozenheron7 said—it really leaves a lasting impression of a person 😛
