So, I’ve got this old phone, and I usually move my photos over to my computer using a memory card 🤣.

Lately, it keeps telling me the card is full. I’ll just delete some photos to make room and then try the transfer again. But today, it’s acting crazy. No matter how many pictures I wipe from the phone, I can't get anything onto the card. It just keeps throwing a "memory card full" error at me. I don't get it at all.

Anyone have any ideas?

Does your primary care doctor actually prescribe the medications your specialist recommended, or are you just buying them out of pocket? I’m not asking if you prefer keeping things off the radar by self-medicating. I want to know if your GP refuses to write the script or if they simply won't authorize what the specialist ordered.

I can't stand anyone who goes shopping at WG.

Hey Cure, I was at Target today and saw those denim patches. You just iron them on if you know what I mean.$7.75.

When I need something "classic," like a coat for a wedding or something similar, NAMA is my absolute go-to here in the States. Most of the time, though, I just stick to places like C&A, Takkou, or H&M.

Luckily, those shops are available where I live too. I still remember being twenty years old and having to wear those baggy maternity pants just to find something in my size. Good grief...
My doctor says this e-prescription is good for 30 days. Apparently, it just expires "automatically" after that.

Also, I think you have to go to the specific pharmacy where it was sent. It’s not like picking up meds at any CVS or Walgreens you want—but don't quote me on that. That's just what I heard, until someone else tells me otherwise.

If it were a heart attack, he wouldn't be able to catch his breath. He’d have chest pain, maybe even start vomiting...

With a stroke, the ER would run these specific tests: try smiling (if one side of the mouth droops or won't move, you know what that means), then extend both arms out in front of you (you likely wouldn't be able to keep them level), then stick out your tongue (it wouldn't go left or right; it would just hang there), and so on.

Don't stress yourself out over this.

They probably told you it was Carpal Tunnel Syndrome—but if your pinky and ring finger are going numb, it’s actually Cubital Tunnel Syndrome.

Basically, the first one involves nerve pressure at the wrist, while the second happens at the elbow.

You can actually test this on yourself.

Try leaning your head on your elbow, like when you're hunched over a computer or just bored at a desk... if you feel a "zap" or numbness shoot through your forearm and fingers, it's cubital. To check for carpal tunnel, press your palms together at a 90-degree angle. If your hand goes numb, it's carpal.

Yeah, we usually do this to ourselves from too much computer work or because of an actual injury.

Doctors diagnose it using an EMG (they run a little current through your arms to see exactly where the blockage is), and they usually treat it with physical therapy. Surgery is the absolute last resort.

But, at least that's what I was always told—avoid bad posture and take a B-complex vitamin. It helps the nerves, and I don't mean the kind people usually think of, but just for general nerve health 🤣. I use a thin foam pad under my laptop. You have to stop hard surfaces from pressing against your wrist or elbow, depending on which one it is. Even if it clears up, it means you're prone to it, so you basically have to be careful from now on.

If it keeps happening, go to your primary care doctor. They'll refer you to a specialist.

Edit: I just realized you mentioned the ulnar nerve, so you clearly know the terminology. Honestly, I dealt with numbness for two years before anyone finally took me seriously enough to run tests and start treatment. And even though people tried to tell me otherwise—after those two years, it did finally "go away." My test results vary from great to just okay, but that constant numbness is gone.
boldnomad45 said:The woman at the hospital told me that once you get a referral, you have to schedule the appointment within a month. It doesn't matter if the actual appointment is months away; what matters is that the referral itself isn't older than thirty days when you book it. This was already mentioned earlier in the thread.

Thanks, that’s basically what I thought too. You can't just book anything anywhere without a referral, especially for something new where you don't have previous test results to back it up. A month goes by easily enough, and all the tests I'm waiting on have wait times of several months anyway.

My bad, I missed that it was already discussed.
I have a question about medical referrals. If they’re only valid for 30 days, but it takes months just to get an appointment for every single test—does that mean I actually have to go back to my primary care doctor to get a brand new referral every time?

I’m totally feeling the vibe of the woman in the first photo, the one in the black skirt and white top. That skirt length is perfect, maybe even a little longer. And just to be clear, I wasn't thinking anything inappropriate. I also seriously doubt this adds any years to anyone's age—nobody looks older than they actually are here, let alone more.

Every other version above (except for that first one) feels fake to me. Those models aren't actually plus-sized, and they don't look realistic because they're clearly retouched. Or, like the women in the photos below, they aren't actually heavy. I could never pull that look off; I would look ridiculous.

To be fair, we all have different body types, and we have to keep that in mind. Some people can definitely make these outfits work, but I certainly can't.

That first Black woman is great and I’d go for her, but none of them have any assets... right? ☕

Yeah, computers work wonders—there's no way you won't find women with curves.

Never tuck your shirt in. It looks fine in photos, but in real life? Not if you have a belly. Absolutely not.

She’s making a whole tutorial on how to wear a skirt. What am I supposed to be—a jukebox?!

🤣

Dammit, just find it yourself! 🤣

You can try anything you want... but if it doesn't look good, it doesn't look good. It’s not some kind of art 🙄.

No way. I am never posing for the internet.

🤷

I’m totally fine with it, even though I have a pretty big belly. It's not like I can hide it under a skirt—there isn't any clothing like that out there, right 🤣—but I wear a shirt over it. It's never baggy, just long enough, and everything works out just fine..

And like you said, wearing the shirt tucked in? Good grief, absolutely not. That would be an absolute disaster!

Which skirt? Either way, I never tuck anything into my shirt or blouse.

I spotted a tankini over at Takkou too.

Honey, did you actually end up buying that tankini somewhere?! 😬

I had absolutely no clue that Grace actually came from such a wealthy family.

As for me, I think Rainier is a total winner! Both in his looks and everything else.
