I also remember reading somewhere about a link to breast cancer and the suggestion that you shouldn't wear a bra all the time (though I think the main advice was just not to sleep in one—which, honestly, I can't imagine any sane person doing).
I've heard that too—people rambling on about how having metal wire near your chest is somehow dangerous, but it sounds like total nonsense to me; for God's sake, it isn't radioactive. At least, it shouldn't be.😬
amberheron62 said:It’s not muscles holding breasts up, it’s Cooper ligaments, so Vittina’s theory completely falls apart—once those ligaments stretch, there’s no going back, and they’ll definitely stretch if they're being pulled by the sheer force of your free-floating boobs... 😉 Just wear a bra; unless you're in some special situation, comfort is the only thing that matters, and for heaven's sake, watch the sizing. Judging by the threads on Reddit, half the girls out there don't even know their own size...
p.s. obviously you sleep without a bra...
Fine. Thanks. On behalf of myself, and on behalf of Leftie and Rightie 😍
My bra absolutely needs underwire. Without wire, I just feel 😢
To's not even about skipping the bra while you sleep, but rather during the day when you're actually moving around. I remember stumbling upon some article—maybe in a magazine like Cosmopolitan or something similar, I can't be 100% sure—suggesting that it’s actually better for your breasts if they aren't constantly squeezed into a bra all day long. The idea is that without that constant support, the muscles responsible for keeping everything firm are forced to stay active, whereas wearing one all the time just lets those muscles get lazy and weak from being totally inert.😕
It sounds a bit suspicious to me, though. Up until now, I’ve always lived by that old-school rule: "If you have a larger bust and you don't wear a bra, everything is just going to sag."

I’ve got these three patches on my leg, one about the size of my thumb and two smaller ones, where the hair just completely died because I sit on it too much... Besides just sitting, I tend to tuck my heel under my knee when I'm hunkered down studying. (Basically proof that college ruins your body just as much as your brain 🙂 ) My doctor told me to grab some Bepanthen or something, but mentioned if the follicles are actually dead, I'm basically screwed... 🤣 So now I'm looking for advice—maybe some other creams that actually worked for you guys? And is she right, or should I go see a dermatologist or a specialist to get it checked out? I really don't want to end up with three white spots on my leg forever... 😲 🤣
I also spend a lot of time sitting while I study or just scrolling through stuff online, but I haven't lost any hair yet.🙂 🙂

A restroom would be best. It's just easier to clean up. The absolute worst choice is anywhere with carpet.
A warning? Please. I don't think you've ever actually accomplished anything. 😁
Bradley Barnes90 said:🤣 I’m not sure whether I should thank you for the advice, but honestly, don't bother...😬 I don't burp that often; I try to avoid it as much as humanly possible. And I certainly have no intention of learning how to do it on command. If it's absolutely unavoidable, I'll just make sure I find somewhere private so I don't leave a mess everywhere.😁 🙂
I still remember you and your whole "dark humor rules this place" routine😉 which is exactly why I felt like giving you that bit of advice. 🤣
Bradley Barnes90 said:I heard the vomiting is actually the worst part because the stomach acid absolutely wrecks your teeth. I've dealt with it firsthand—one time after I was sick ( 😬 ), my teeth felt incredibly rough, almost like sandpaper. 😁 It took until the very end of the day for them to finally feel "normal" again.
Yeah, that’s true. If you're dealing with frequent acid reflux, maybe try covering your teeth with something to protect them. Or just learn how to manage it so it doesn't catch on your enamel. Honestly, just try keeping your mouth wider open. 😬
coppergardener said:I’m not sure how much this applies strictly to fruit versus acidic stuff, but honestly, you really shouldn't brush your teeth immediately after eating. It's better to wait about 10 to 15 minutes because your saliva is still pumping out enzymes during that window to help break down the food, which makes digestion smoother and puts less strain on your GI tract. As for the acid part, yeah, it's true—if you're constantly consuming highly acidic things, it's going to wreck your enamel. Same goes for when people vomit; those struggling with bulimia often deal with demineralized teeth because of the stomach acid. But if you're using a high-quality toothpaste or an amine fluoride treatment, you don't need to live in fear of anything acidic, just... maybe don't go three days without brushing your teeth.😬 .
I think I'd actually lose my mind if I didn't brush for three days straight. 🤣 Maybe I'll start cutting back on the lemonades....
I was just watching a Sensodyne commercial and heard them mention this thing for the first time. Is it actually true that you shouldn't brush your teeth right after eating fruit or drinking anything acidic? How much truth is there to that claim?
This really complicates things for me because I’m the type of person who feels like I absolutely have to brush my teeth immediately after eating any fruit. Does anyone else here actually pay attention to that?
Joseph Hughes7 said:I’m only 28 and I’ve already spotted three gray hairs. The other day I was venting to two guys at work—one’s 29 and the other is 30.
The oldest one (30) is practically balding already, and the 29-year-old is halfway there. Is this some kind of glitch in my system, or is it just temporary? I guess.
Now they won't stop messing with me, saying I'll look just like them in two years😲 , which honestly has me feeling pretty depressed. I mean, seriously, I just started getting my life together, finally got my finances sorted, and now I'm already an old man.
God help me.😕 😕
Don't be such a baby. ☕ That stuff comes from stress. I'm only 19 and I've already found two or three grays myself.
They just ran a tympanometry test on me, nothing major—they basically hold a probe against your ear for a minute and then read the data. 🙂 They didn't bother with the fiber optic exam because my tympanometry results came back perfectly fine. 🙂🙂
Lawrence Wells said:I just had my tympanometry done, and honestly, everything turned out fine. Nothing to worry about. As for the laryngoscopy... I’m pretty sure they just use local anesthesia—like, they spray your throat to numb it. Just a heads-up: don't eat anything right before you go in, because you won't be able to control your swallowing reflex properly. You should be okay to grab a drink about 4 or 5 hours after the exam is over.
Wait, isn't the swallowing reflex supposed to be automatic? Like, shouldn't you be able to control it with your own willpower?
Now I'm actually getting nervous. Honestly, maybe I just won't go. 🙂
Kate Cox2 said:Does anyone remember that absolute torture session from a few years back on TV...? There was this host who underwent some ear cleaning method where they insert a large paper "wick" into your ear and then light it on fire... and supposedly, the vacuum created by the burning oxygen sucks out all the wax...
Does anyone know where one could actually get that done... say, in a city like Chicago? (Or perhaps there's a kit for doing it at home😬)?
You can pick that up over at Walmart's. Later. $13 It’s coming.
Look, I’m just saying—you can actually cause permanent damage to your hearing this way. You're basically burning through the Tuljak; the wax starts melting, and if God forbid a drop of that hot wax hits your eardrum, you're looking at a rupture from the heat alone.
Anyone around? How uncomfortable is this actually going to be, and how much time should I set aside for it? Just another stupid question from me, but am I expected to strip down there? I know it’s just an ear and throat exam, but I’d really rather not deal with any awkward surprises. 🙂
EDIT: How deep does the scope go, and am I allowed to eat breakfast beforehand?
