So, I'm into yoga. I hit the pavement for a 45-minute run three times a week, blast some chill music, and knock out about 10 minutes of meditation daily. I kick things off every morning with some Sun Salutations.
Sleep isn't usually an issue for me. It’s just when I'm stressed out that I start getting those weird jerks right as I'm drifting off. Anyone else deal with that?
Thanks, babe, I've had this for 11 years already. I don't know what kind of stress you're dealing with if you can just brush it off like that. Honestly, it’s pretty low, dropping jokes about my actual problems.
Been there, done that. That’s exactly why I like having them on hand. But since I’m just grinding through this exam season until mid-January, I might toss down some 2 mg Diazepam before bed if the tension gets too much. Heading to see my doctor in a few days.
That was just some Xanax I saw. I ended up taking it last night because it was the only way to actually pass out, though I fought it for a while—didn't want to resort to that when I'd already spent half the night staring at the ceiling. Now I'm just feeling totally groggy today. Is it okay if I ask about other stuff? Like anxiety or depression? It all feels like the same endless loop anyway.
Whenever I’m stressed out and exhausted, I hit the sack thinking I'm finally gonna pass out, but then my body just jolts me awake. It’s like this sudden, violent twitch right as I'm drifting off, and it happens over and over again. Honestly, now I’m just lying there getting anxious about it—scared of the jerk itself and terrified I won't get any sleep at all when I clearly need it. Anyone else dealt with this crap? How do you handle it?
I’ve got the same eye issues, even though I’ve been wearing contacts for 17 years. It all started because I overdid it with the lenses and wore them way too much in front of the computer. You blink way less when you're staring at a screen, which messes up your tear film, irritates everything, and makes those capillaries pop out. Seriously, try to cut back on the contact hours, especially when you're working. If you can manage it, just switch to glasses while you're at the desk. That ointment only gives you maybe 20 minutes of relief before you're right back where you started. Plus, your eyes get used to the drops, so then you're stuck needing them constantly. Whenever you aren't out and about—like when you're just chilling at home—take the lenses out and wear glasses. Give your eyes a break. It'll be worth it.
wow, I just started episode two of season one—my DVD finally showed up in the mail. It’s already great, but based on what you guys are saying, the best stuff is still ahead of me.
I’ve been on the pill for years with zero issues—it usually treats me just fine. But I totally blanked on starting my new pack because finals week absolutely wrecked me. Four days went by before I even realized, so I figured I'd just skip that missed pack entirely and wait until my next period to start fresh. That’s what I did, but now I’m getting this weird spotting—just some light, brownish discharge—between my last period and this upcoming one. Is this normal, or should I be heading to the doctor? Has anyone dealt with this, or maybe there's a doc here who can weigh in? Thanks.👋
Jose Miller17 said:Yeah, I get it. I'm just saying last time I counted there were about 10 and a half... one was an American/British thing, so that’s probably where the half comes from. ;-) 😁😁
Gotcha. Guess my sense of humor is totally dead lately. Or maybe my brain is just fried. 😁
The original plan was just to make ten movies under those Dogme 95 rules, but since other directors around the world jumped on the bandwagon, the whole thing blew up. I already said Festen is the best of all those indie films, and I've seen them all.
I honestly thought nothing could let me down after watching Lost in Translation. I went in with such high hopes this time—I guess I’m just naive enough to think an 8 on IMDb means I'm watching a masterpiece, even if something like The Godfather hits a 9. Turns out, I was just left feeling totally deflated. It's shallow... The plot, the characters, the dialogue—it's all just empty. The soundtrack is great, though. Well, at least they got one thing right. I'm pretty much on the same page as Michelle Hall9.
