To me, the movie was just a decent, standard action flick.😬

It feels like it's been forever since I last caught up with you guys! I am seriously looking forward to tomorrow 🙂

It’s not actually that far for me—I could be downtown in about thirty minutes—but the real headache is my bus schedule. It’s pretty unreliable around here. 😛
Quoth:Just an observation. 🕺

No, I can't make it—Central Park is just way too far out of my way.I’m actually starting to pack this Thursday. I'm heading out to see my boyfriend on Friday for a trip to the beach—finally! 🎉 Believe it or not, I actually ended up in Creek. 🙂
restlesstiger49 said:Well, even for hiddenwalker30, it's just a short ride to Grand Central before having to deal with the trek to Central Park in this heat.🕺
Gerald Torres2 said:Sure, it seems like everyone’s preferred meeting spot is always right in the middle of downtown. I’m looking at a two-hour commute one way just because the organizer happens to live practically within walking distance of the destination. And then they act surprised when people don't want to show up in a heatwave or when it's hitting 100 degrees out. Give me a break. I’m staring down four hours of round-trip travel on stinking, cramped buses and subways—hardly the ideal way to transport a bike.

Gerald Torres2 said:That is exactly what you’ve told me the last four or five times we tried to set something up. Honestly, why should I believe things will actually be different this time? Look, I’m not trying to start an argument here. Just use some common sense and realize that you aren't the only person on this damn planet. 🐔
Gerald Torres2 said:To be perfectly honest, I’m pretty worked up about this. I’ve asked The Master multiple times to pick a location closer to downtown, 🐔, but he clearly can't see past his own ego and honestly doesn't give a damn if the current spot is inconvenient for everyone else. Like an idiot, I used to make the trip out there regularly 🤦—well, not anymore. 🙂
Gerald Torres2 said:I'm moving closer to you then—you'll be much easier to reach than if I were stuck near Central Park. 🤣
Gerald Torres2 said:And I suppose you're actually planning on showing your face here too? 🙂
Gerald Torres2 said:Look, I’ve asked Carl Rivera43 at least five times now to pick a meetup spot that’s actually accessible for everyone—you know, those of us mere mortals who don't have access to late-night transit or a bottomless budget for Ubers. Trying to make it out there between 7 and 9 PM just doesn't make sense when it takes me nearly two hours just to get to Central Park in one direction. I’m honestly not going to show up to these gatherings until the group decides they actually want to include people, rather than just hosting events in spots convenient for a tiny handful of equally privileged individuals. In my opinion, Millennium Park is just as nice as Central Park, and it’s roughly a thirty-minute commute for most of the group. Why am I expected to play the fool and waste four hours on a round trip just to see everyone for a fleeting moment? Honestly, I’d rather just drive out to Santa Monica to hit the beach. It’s the same length of a commute, but at least I get to see the ocean—I can see trees through my window right now without even trying. Thanks for understanding.
