It was alright—just your typical second day at a two-day fest, though there was definitely more movement than on day one.
The Hold Steady were a blast, but unfortunately they played too early, so I missed most of them. !!!—good, actually better live than they are on their records.👍 The Roots—a massive letdown compared to that epic show they put on at The Fillmore about five years ago.👎 They played one track with "Community music," and honestly, they just finished up with Banging on the door of the fortress Europe (for the record, I suggested they pair that song with screenings in Brussels😁). Iggy Pop was a total coma.👎 👎 The guy sounds like he’s just playing covers of himself.🙂 It makes me think back to 1993 when I ended up sleeping on the train station platform in Ljubljana, while some drunk bum screamed some old-school Canadian folk song right into my ear.🙂 Bad, just bad!
All in all, despite the messy organization, it was still a good time. This city needs a festival like this to wrap up the summer.

A friend of mine is still rocking a wristband from Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 🤔 and I honestly haven't had the guts to ask her why. Just for context, this wasn't exactly her first rodeo—she’s over thirty. 😬
Then you have those people who wear the exact same T-shirt for a month straight😁 until they basically become social pariahs.
I don't get why everyone's whining; I think it's actually pretty cool. It makes me feel important, honestly. Like I’m sixteen again and they finally let me go to SXSW. Hell, I wouldn't even care if I had to wear a trash can on my head. This 😍 bracelet...
I’m trying to picture Carrot walking around with a bucket on their head 🙂
People at work are giving me some pretty weird looks because of this wristband, and yeah, it’s a bit distracting. Maybe it’s some kind of penance that'll actually make the concert hit harder.😕
Total disaster management. The lines for beer were basically the bread lines from the Great Depression. My coworkers at the office are still staring at their wristbands like they’ve never seen one before. It kind of reminds me of those tracking bracelets they used to use back in the day when people were waiting on legal proceedings under house arrest.
Sonic Youth was killer. As for the Happy Mondays, they’re living proof that you can still function even after decades of heavy drinking and drugs. They sounded rough, sure, but if they didn't sound like that, they wouldn't be who they are. Caught some other stuff on the fly—New York Dolls were the classics, obviously. Róisín Murphy is a stunning British artist, but without Moloka, she's just boring.
I’m honestly pretty bummed I missed out, but I had much bigger fish to fry strengthening ties between Estonia and the States. Besides, by the time I showed up, the Church was already a total disaster. Can someone please post the full setlist from those of you who actually made it?
Alright, I’m opening this one up for all the serious Formula 1 fans on here to jump in.
I want to see if we can map out the constant identity crises in this sport—tracking how teams have swapped names, owners, and entire personalities over the years. With factory teams constantly cycling back in, the branding changes have become a mess. Let’s try to document every major rebranding we can remember. Calling on all the resident F1 historians to step up!
Here’s my mental list:
Jordan - Midland - Spyker
Tyrell - BAR - Honda
Stewart - Jaguar - Red Bull
Toleman - Benneton - Renault
Sauber - BMW (still known as BMW-Sauber)
Minardi - Torro Rosso
Ligier - Alain Prost (until they went under)
That’s all I’ve got for now. Your turn. Especially if anyone actually remembers the whole saga involving Arrows and Footwork.
Alex Scott22 said:About those counter-moves... it’s like watching actors in a theater trying too hard. Bands don't do that. Unless, of course, you're listening to Eagle Death Metal of Russia 😉
I have to admit, I expected more from Russia..
Total silence. Pure hate 😍
They ended up getting hammered at Limb. I hope they managed to find some Pepsi. Some drunk guy just wandered off into the night. 😳
I was thinking about that war ages ago and you can't tell me it wasn't just one big staged performance full of improvisation, obviously
plus, with the former Soviet crew involved, watching a Royal Rumble🙂 among the group was way more entertaining
The committee was actually decent, though the whole performance felt more like a vaudeville act or some weird pre-war experimental theater troupe. Russia is terrible, which honestly matches their vibe perfectly. Things are getting dangerously chaotic—some idiot just spilled beer all over my Tommy Hilfiger shirt :damujebemsvepospisku:
stormyviper11 said:Have you ever actually been there? You’re not wrong, though the older guys look exactly like a gang of thugs charging for parking near a train station. I mean, there isn't an official fee, but if you have half a brain, you aren't leaving your car there without handing them something... And everyone walks around with weird bulges under their clothes because they can't go through metal detectors—mostly because other gangs are always lurking nearby, waiting to move in on their territory...
Charming city. 🙂
I’ve always been fascinated by New York City. I grew up hearing all these legends about how beautiful the place is, but now you're giving me the lowdown on its "charming" locals.
Those guys look like they're dodging debts from some old grandmas in New York City—you definitely don't want to mess with them. I bet their lyrics are all about the Siege of Saint Petersburg during World War II. Or maybe they just write poetic stuff about romantic strolls along the Neva River.
stormyviper11 said:saying you'd show up to this 😕sounds a little perverse😁 especially since you'd probably let some of those performers tie you up and do whatever they wanted with you.🤣 😈
Look, I've known you since you were in diapers! 😈 I know what turns you on: the fact that Toyah is working on a kids' show on the BBC😛 Admit it, you've always had a thing for female hosts on children's programming.😍
Total garbage. It’s practically a dumpster fire. To make matters worse, I’ve got these idiots in my building messing around with the elevator in the background, so you can barely even hear anything over the racket.😠
What they’re offering at IEEE right now is pretty underwhelming, though hopefully things turn around soon. Esce has positioned itself mainly as a concert venue rather than a club, which is a departure from what made IEEE great—back when you could catch a show and then stay to party afterward. At Esce, the club vibe just isn't there, which actually works for me, especially if I'm heading to a show on a weeknight...
Seriously 🙂 Alright, what's the point now? The funeral is basically showing up without anyone actually alive, so we might as well just call it an exhumation!
Reading this makes me want to grab you and head straight to Facebook right now. It sounds like absolute madness, which honestly means it’ll be a blast. But we're still a long way off, and that's just how things go...
Emily Hernandez28 said:Yeah, overweight guys who aren't even trying to lose the weight are just narcissists who only care about themselves—no offense to the folks here 😁 😁 .
I fall into the category of heavy guys actually trying to slim down, which basically makes me a masochist.😲 Life is just miserable without a good burger.👎
