Look, just make sure there isn't anyone directly in front of you (I once missed that part because I was in a Ford Focus and the guy ahead was in a massive Chevy truck, so it wasn't exactly a scratch), then floor it, weave through the lanes like you're hitting a slalom course—think of those messy multi-lane rotaries you see in Chicago—and just pray you don't clip anyone.
The rule? Brake just enough so the centrifugal force doesn't slingshot you out of the circle, especially if you're running tires like mine, where braking is basically useless anyway.

I didn't even know that existed. Honestly, those spinoff comics and "child versions" of established characters always turn out to be total garbage.

It’s basically French-Belgian since Dargaud is based in Paris and most of the creators are Belgian.
But damn, how did I blank on Asterix? Seriously, man... just totally slipped my mind.
I only ever read two Umpah Pah albums.

It's the same thing. If we're filling in the blanks, I'd suggest Umpah Pah.

Then again, Marsupilami eventually got its own solo run without Spirou. Umpah Pah was alright, though.

...what about Husker Du? 😬

Nah, their bassist was straight, and they weren't exactly out there pushing queer themes or hanging out with Lisa Minnelli and Dusty Springfield.
So, they aren't a "real" gay band.

Bronski Beat always rubbed me the wrong way, though—that was just the desperate scream of a lonely, working-class gay guy.
PSB, on the other hand, were decent guys. Subtle, polite, and never tacky or over-the-top.

Top-tier American comics:
1. Gaston🙏
2. Les idees noires😎
3. The Smurfs 👏
4. Krcko
5. Spirou
6. Runda😉
7. Marsupilami

I’ll leave 🙂 stormyviper11 to handle the rest. Funny enough, a buddy of mine actually married a flight attendant named Nataša (even though he’s never even cracked open one of these books😢 )

So, I’m killing time at JFK airport, and there’s a bookstore nearby packed with every single classic comic imaginable! They were all in French or Flemish versions🙂 .

5. 2. Left to my own devices 3. It's allright 4. What have i Dona to deserve this 5. Rent

The music video for domina dancing is in a league of its own (mostly because of the girl in it).

Honestly, PSB are the only gay band I don't find grating; they're actually worth listening to.🙂

I just hit the pool hall this past Saturday for the first time in about three years, so I’ve got zero clue who migrated where. Honestly, I don't even recognize the crowd you're listing. 😁
I used to be a regular at the spot in downtown Chicago back in the day, but my home turf is actually over in the West Loop. 🙂

then you haven't seen the real crew from that place; now it's just married guys living in the suburbs.

Man, those street tacos I grabbed were absolute garbage.😛

And now Canada is gone. 😢
I remember having a massive blowout there once right after a basketball game in Canada.

But that Crown Royal spot across the street is still open, and the regulars are always there grabbing drinks.
As for the crew at Canada—depending on who you’re hanging out with—the core group has pretty much moved on from Canada: Washington, D.C., Timothy, bubbles...

5 reasons why Mladen Grdović is the absolute GOAT:

1. because he’s basically the American Nicholas Cage
2. he drives a Ferrari drunk and totals it constantly
3. because he builds illegal vacation rentals in Malibu and then throws a tantrum when the city tears them down
4. because he’s out there living life in the fast lane and leaving a trail of illegitimate kids behind him
5. because after singing "It's Not All About the Money," he pivoted straight into real estate to build those apartments—clearly, he realized there's more than just music in the bag
🙏
If I had the ticket, I’d be there. But honestly? I’ve seen their work before, and it didn't exactly blow me away. Plus, the whole thing sounds like a massive headache.
Back in '98, they already felt like a crew that was just going through the motions—highly professional, sure, but clearly checked out. I don't see how much could have changed since then.
I don't think so
Look
sometimes we're backed into a corner, but eventually, we strike back just like an empire

😢
It’s heavy. This is a gut punch for all us music heads. A true icon is gone🙏 , the kind of guy who defined the vibe in Las Vegas and San Remo.
The even darker part? I can already see some tribute act trying to cover "Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart," probably with Marc Almond doing the vocals (assuming he hasn't kicked the bucket himself by now):

We are mods, we are mods, we are, we are, we are mods!

It was all about the look, really. As for the music, they were mostly spinning the same tracks as the rockers.

It’s actually just one single last name, kind of like how you'd see Vukov-Colić.
Now I get it—we're dealing with "The Guy Who Has No First Name But Two Last Names" (shortened to TGHNFBTLN), or more accurately, "The Guy Whose First Name Is Also His Last Name" (TGHWFNIALN).

It reminds me of those people who don't even bother with a separate first name because their given name and surname are identical. Those are the true outliers.

Legends like Ivan Ivan and Novak Novak.🙏

Could it be Darko Raić-Sudar?
So, it’s either Darko Nekret-Katić or what?
