I caught Sons & Daughters at Lollapalooza a couple of years back. They aren't bad, but they aren't worth the premium price tag... (Not even a mediocre Radiohead, Deus, or Vatroslav are worth it... but that's a whole different conversation 😛 )
But Hot Chip.....😲 Honestly, I just don't have the budget for a festival like this 😢
Whenever I think back to how obsessed my peers were with that singer, it's wild. My sister actually begged them to run a poster of him in the local paper, but instead of the handsome blonde we all loved ( EJTIN AND LAJF U GADET, EJTIN AND LAAAAJF U NOUUUU 🙂 ), they published a tribute to that late composer with his much more modern haircut 🤣
If I recall correctly, it’s entertaining enough to watch, though certainly not much to listen to... now I’m trying to wrap my head around what makes their streaming so unique, assuming we aren't just talking about the band's dynamic 🤷
though the slogan completely insane rock 'n' roll nonsense fits them perfectly 🙂
Reading through some of these posts, I often get the feeling that certain people weren't even at the same festival I was... then I remember those old sayings about how everyone has their own version of truth, taste, and perspective...
What on earth is Iggy Pop doing here? And what's all this about The Stooges?? Why even mention Happy Mondays with that unknown guy??? I could have just bought tickets in Miami instead! 😕unknown
And how am I supposed to get around Miami without a car.... 🙄
I’m convinced they just have the tickets tucked under the counter instead of printing them on demand... it feels like trying to buy a CD only to have them hand you one that was just pulled straight from a Nirvana set 😢
Screw Ticketmaster 😠 After an absolute nightmare of a process, I finally managed to snag tickets (you honestly wouldn't believe the struggle 😕)... and they weren't cheap, either... then, out of nowhere, the digital ones just show up online, looking like they were printed by some laser printer. Honestly, at this point, I might as well just print my own tickets using high-end tech 😲
