Everything you need for a California wedding

That seems logical to me, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask anyway. Thanks 😁 😉

To start, the appetizers were perfectly fine—the charcuterie and cheese were decent enough, though certainly nothing to write home about, which wasn't exactly what we were expecting. However, the French onion soup was absolutely abysmal; it was incredibly sour and had this strange, unpleasant aftertaste that really didn't belong in a dish. We also had about 20 children in attendance who don't typically eat much, and unfortunately, there wasn't even any risotto available as a backup option. As for the main course, the beef stew was so acidic it was practically inedible. At this point, the groom is absolutely livid and is demanding to speak with the person in charge. A certain lady in black (if you’ve been there, you know exactly who I mean) simply brushed him off, claiming she was too busy with the rush to talk. The roast was just as disappointing; the meat tasted old and was poorly cooked. You would naturally assume that for the head table, they’d serve the finest cuts, but that was far from the case here. By the next morning, the groom was understandably furious. Since several guests don't live nearby, we had arranged for a block of rooms at a discounted rate so people could rest before heading home, especially since the hotel was nearly empty following the wedding the night before. However, when guests arrived at the front desk for check-out, they were charged the full standard rate instead of the agreed-upon price. When people tried to resolve this, they were told by someone over the phone that the previous arrangement had been completely disregarded, and everyone was expected to pay full price. The groom, rightfully incensed, refused to let his guests be overcharged, especially after being served such revolting food the night before. Her response? And I quote: "Then sign this stating that's what you agreed to, so I know how much I can sue you for." It was truly the bottom of the barrel. Perhaps some people had a pleasant time there, but in my estimation, they are utterly disgraceful. About a week later, a man called the groom—having heard whispers about the situation because he’d held his own wedding there a few months prior—to ask for details, as he is currently in legal proceedings with that same woman.

What has your experience been like? I've only ever been to Dolis, and while I know they're decent, I haven't set foot in any of these other venues. Looking at the threads here, the feedback is all over the place: people rave about the food at ExxonMobil, but I personally can't stand those pillars in the hall, and the dance floor looks tiny to me. Some people love R2-D2, while others claim the catering is terrible. As for Poljud, I haven't seen many specific complaints. Please, I need help! I have to make a decision fast!

However, I’ve now become psychologically dependent on this damn Normabel. It’s reached a point where I can't even enjoy a celebration. I have my child's christening coming up soon, and normally, I’d enjoy a drink at an event like that once a year—any sane person would, especially for a milestone like a christening. But now, even if I wanted to have a little fun and relax on that day, I can't touch alcohol, let alone even think about taking Normabel.
Back when I was younger and perhaps a bit more reckless, I didn't deal with any of this pain. But ever since I started living a more "adult" life—meaning, attempting to maintain a healthy, disciplined routine—everything has just gone to hell. 😁

Basically, my husband snores. Period. No matter how he lays, and honestly, the part that trips me out most is how he can snore with his mouth shut. It’s constant, all night long. Okay, there are little windows of peace and quiet, but those are basically "rare Fridays."
About three years ago, I finally begged him to see an ENT. They found some thickening—nasal polyps—and said treating them might help dial down the snoring (though nobody promised a total cure). He went through this awful surgery where they were basically scraping the inside of his nose with a blade, only for them to tell him afterward that wasn't even the whole story—that for actual results, he’d need throat surgery too. After seeing five yards of gauze used up in each nostril, he wouldn't even consider it. After that first surgery, things improved just a tiny bit. Like, he was still snoring, but it wasn't quite as loud or intense. But now, three years later, the snoring is back to being completely unbearable.
During that recovery period, I actually kind of got used to sleeping next to him. I think I just tuned it out, trained my ears to ignore the noise 😁
Since then, we've had a baby. Now the little one sleeps in their own room, and we sleep in ours with a baby monitor right by my ear. So, he’s snoring away, and I’m trying to drift off, but I can't relax enough to actually fall asleep. And if I do manage to pass out, I keep jolting awake in a panic, terrified that I won't hear the baby crying in the other room over his noise. Earplugs aren't an option because then I'm worried I won't hear the monitor, and besides, I can still hear his muffled snoring through them, which just irritates me more 🙂
You know what? I usually end up retreating to the baby's room just to get some decent rest and feel like I have the little one "under control."
Sometimes I wonder if we'll ever just sleep in the same bed all night again... 🙄
Anyway, the facts are: he’s about 20 pounds overweight and he smokes.
How does one actually get to a Sleep Center? Is it that one near downtown? Do you just get a referral from a primary care doctor? Do you stay overnight for "observation" or how does it work?
What do you guys think about these gadgets (before jumping to a radical snoring mask 😁)?

Or is this stuff in the same league as all those sprays, strips, and sticks that didn't do anything at all?
