Tire degradation at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is insane—maybe even the worst on the whole Formula 1 calendar. No matter how much I root for him, I honestly doubt Hemić can pull it off with his driving style given how these tires wear out... if I end up being wrong, hey, I’ll take the win, but after Hemić, I’m pulling for anyone from Lotus over him.

From what I can tell, the FIA's official site doesn't list Button as a DNF, just shows him finishing dead last, eight laps down... which means the whole thing is still technically unresolved. Plus, you’d actually be up a couple of points if Maldonado hadn't pulled that stunt and dropped out. That cost me two solid points right there...

First, someone uses those bonus points to catch up to another driver, only for the standard finishing positions to give them the edge all over again in the head-to-head tiebreaker..
