Kovalainen - Petrov
Daniel Ricciardo - Jean-Éric Vergne
Jenson Button - Lewis Hamilton
Narain Karthikeyan - Pedro de la rosa

Who knows, maybe it'll help me manage my fantasy league, or I'll stumble onto some genius idea. 😁
stormybadger8 said:Look, instead of everyone giving their blessing, I'd rather see all three methods actually put to the test.😁
Let's try this for VN Barcelona:
WayOut - uses the current system. (basically the official results)
Dorian - uses his new method
Bjesomar - uses his own criteria
Everyone just post your results in this thread.
Then we'll see who's actually the fastest (and therefore the simplest) and how it works in the real world.👍
That's probably the best way to figure out which system we should stick with for next season.🙂
If it helps, I can compile everyone's predictions into one single post before the race starts so you guys don't have to deal with the hassle.🙂
William Bennett53 said:Go ahead and set up the automation for this new proposal of mine now, so we can hit the ground running next year without any unnecessary headaches. 🙏
It’s clear the referendum passed by a landslide, so there is really no point in keeping this debate wide open.
I actually doubt even darkmarlin16 agrees with it; it just seems like, being the staunch conservative he is, he feels a bit sentimental about seeing the previous, flawed system finally go into the history books.
darkmarlin16 said:Honestly, Bjesomar's criteria are pretty solid, you bunch of losers ☕
I mean, if we're talking about a position that's sitting outside the points, there’s really zero reason to even bother counting it 😉
So, when am I gonna see those standings posted?
Terry Carter2 said:Honestly, I’ve been preaching this for a while now: we need to push for a much higher level of automation across the entire competition!
I don't have anything against getting rid of Bjesomar's criteria; in fact, I’m all for it if it means making the management of this whole thing simpler and more streamlined. However, the newly submitted prediction should take precedence over the joker prediction, even if the latter was sent in first.
😁
Terry Carter2 said:Bjesomar mentioned he’d put together a program to calculate that specific criterion!
😁
stormybadger8 said:Well, nobody ever said it was "better."🤷
It’s just easier for the host, and it basically forces you to keep submitting new predictions.
If you aren't the type to send in fresh picks constantly, it isn't "better" for you. It's better for the people running the show and for the players who actually bother to update their guesses regularly.
Matthew Young35 said:Of course, even in that scenario, someone would be disqualified after failing to submit an entry three times in a row.
Matthew Young35 said:Here are some thoughts to chew on for the upcoming season.
Everyone can submit their own "default" prediction; if you fail to send in a specific forecast for a race, we'll just go with your default one.
stormybadger8 said:Hey, let me know if I copied these right... standings... .
Hey, if you don't mind, maybe try setting them all to the same total width... I think it would look a lot cleaner that way...🙂
maminho said:UPDATE:
If they’re actually gonna make it work, they might as well throw some numbers and team colors on there too... 😉
Christian Williams61 said:Look, we have jokers for stuff like that—why are you being so stubborn about your specific prediction?

William Bennett53 said:this whole debate really highlights the core issue here... you've been part of this league since day one and if I recall correctly, you were even one of the founders. yet suddenly you're acting like you don't know the rules: you're looking for loopholes and offering deals that fly right in the face of the official regulations. in this specific case, you're just screwing over ruggedfox28 and eventually you're gonna push him to insult you just so he gets banned. why not just read the rulebook to see how to swap out a teammate instead of asking him for special favors?
William Bennett53 said:shutting down the Paddock is a total joke...
I mean, we all need to realize that the Paddock is basically the social glue for the whole NASCAR sub-community here. It’s where the leftover crowd hangs out to talk shop and share news. Sure, the actual race threads get tons of hits and posts, but that only really blows up during race weekends.
So, killing the Paddock would honestly suck for the entire forum.
Personally, I think the Paddock needs some serious deregulation. Like, just punish actual insults and let everything else sort itself out naturally.
