So, we made it to Vienna. It was a great show—really impressive visuals and a pretty solid setlist... though there was this weird, mushy emo vibe hanging over everything. Not sure if it was the venue or just the crowd, but whatever.
Now I'm just waiting to hit the jackpot on the lottery so I can fly out to Interlaken (Switzerland) this June. 😢
It’s been about ten years since I did this—man, where does the time go? 😲—but I ordered a $15 if my memory serves me right. It had this little logo on one side and a short inscription on the other. I picked it up back in Prague at this tiny boutique... I can't for the life of me remember the name 😬 . Now that you're asking about a colored Zippo... honestly, I have no idea how that would even turn out. 🤷
I'm with Nicholas King on this one. I’ve never been one to police "spamming," and honestly, there are times when I find myself dropping a few posts in a row myself... especially on threads like the mystery where you've got several different conversations happening all at once.
If I were you, I’d try to dig up a specific word from that post—something longer than four letters—and just run a global search across the entire forum instead of limiting yourself to Psychology somewhere else. Honestly, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been certain a thread was sitting in one subforum, only to realize I was totally wrong. Plus, there's always the chance the mods moved the topic from Psychology somewhere else in the meantime...

Since I'm retired now, I was granted permission to open this new account... 😛 but yeah, the email ended up hitting that old, retired profile.
Ah, I see. 😁 Look, I'm just the messenger here and there isn't much I can actually do about it, but if you want to get this sorted, just send your details over to the admins: Tyndall and none. Hopefully, someone gets this whole mess cleaned up soon...
Herp has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.
Figure out some way to reach me privately, because I can't send you a DM. I’m definitely not posting my personal details out here in the open, but I can give you the email address where that info landed via a private message... if we can figure that out.
Look, it's 5:00 PM somewhere, and besides, the site admins have access to whatever email was used for registration, so I already checked that myself. 😉
Emily Miller96 said:I deleted it immediately after reading it, so I don't remember the exact email address, but it was definitely from the forum domain, and the source mentioned an Orbis server, maybe Orbis2... It wasn't even my priority to go digging through it; I just took a quick peek and nuked it. The message basically told me to get online and start gambling, and it used a user ID number instead of a handle—not a username like Thomas Castillo14, but that specific numeric ID assigned to every account. Usually, this kind of nonsense gets caught by my server's spam filter, which is why I actually bothered to look, but I don't recall any specifics since I trashed it so fast. The only reason I remember it at all is because it was the first and last time I ever got an email from this forum, since I've had everything turned off except for direct notifications from the admins.
Honestly, this is the first I'm hearing about it. 😕
I'm going to report them to the moderation team. 🙂
Emily Miller96 said:(so yesterday I get this email from the site, and after all these years, nothing ever happens, but suddenly they're inviting me to do some online gambling...) Gentlemen, is the admin still blackout drunk from New Year's Eve, or just completely incompetent? Or maybe we don't even have an admin at all? Or is this just some kind of stupidity on your part called "annoying advertising"?
Peter Doyle2 said:What actually has to happen—aside from the whole server crashing—for a user to get their profile deleted? Is that supposed to be a specific type of penalty, like some extreme version of a permanent ban, or what?
I mean, I’m just asking out of pure curiosity here. I don't have any desire to change my handle, let alone see a profile wiped, so don't worry about me.🙂
Peter Doyle2 said:Wait, can you actually delete a profile? I always assumed that wasn't an option... I guess you have to submit a formal request or something?
No, no, that didn't happen normally. It happened once when the whole server crashed or something went sideways, and profiles just vanished by mistake. But, as you can see, their posts are still sitting there...
If I were to kick the bucket right this second, my profile could easily stay active for days, maybe even months... On Tuesday, or whenever, someone would just fire up my work computer, pull up a browser, and land right on this forum where I’m perpetually logged in. Eventually, someone would grab my laptop and do the exact same thing. As for my boyfriend's computer, it might take a few months before he ever bothers to open a different browser and find me still signed in here.
I hope that clears things up, and hopefully you won't feel the need to keep dragging out some tragic drama about a dead forum user.
Proposal: alright, come on, let's all chip in and start a fund for redmarlin3—everyone throws in a few bucks and we can finally bring ris against to our neck of the woods (I’m thinking the Boogaloo venue). Personally, I’ll grab TWO tickets for the occasion! ...If only I actually had enough floor space to dance 🙂 ...just so I don't have to trek all the way out to Vienna, Budapest, Prague, or heaven forbid Helsinki (why do they always schedule Helsinki for the weekend while everything else happens on a weekday? Seriously, what is wrong with them!) 🙂
If we can't make it work at the Boogaloo, we'll just have to drag them down to Romania. 👋
No way, I am not heading back to Budapest twice in a row. We’re going to take a little trip toward Vienna instead, and if we manage to save enough cash, maybe we'll even make a run for Berlin. 👋

Try setting the number of posts per page to the absolute minimum—I think it’s 20.
