Why blondes? in Miscellaneous ·
Benjamin Thomas2 said:I’ve been stuck on this one for ages... Why do we call girls with blonde or light brown hair "blondes" when we all know blue is a completely different color entirely🤷 Help a guy out here.

Must be nice being you😢 ... I’m over here losing my mind over an even bigger question... why are Black people called Black when they're actually brown? Shouldn't we just call them "brownies" or something?

So, what do you guys think?
Is your place "over the line" too?
And why is a man who dares to cross the line considered "small"?

There's this one island out there where all the neighbors decided to cross the line. It's called Virginia, and honestly, it's not exactly a place anyone would actually want to hang out.

Personally, my vote goes to respecting the building codes. Let the little guys stay behind the line; let the big shots be the ones crossing it. The big players don't need a house—they *are* the house.

That’s why my posts look like a total mess. You make it work if you actually want to get things said.

Nicole Lopez21 said:Just a silly question, but there’s always someone on these forums who actually knows this kind of stuff :-)

I was wondering how much it might cost to clear a 5-kilometer path through some overgrown, rocky terrain (maybe through some abandoned orchards or something similar)?
I honestly don't even know where to start with an estimate... what am I even supposed to factor in? Excavators, hauling away debris, leveling the ground??? I'm guessing since you need heavy machinery, the path can't be narrower than the equipment itself, so let's say maybe 13 feet wide and 5 kilometers long :-)

Any thoughts?

thanks 😛

A few years back, clearing out rock piles was running about $11,000 per acre. By that logic, this would probably hit $22,000. Mind you, that data isn't verified and it's pretty outdated. So yeah, don't hold me to it.

Great. And I’d like to offer my sincere apologies to the entire Reddit leadership team for all the inconvenience my trolling has caused.

Maybe one day we’ll all just grow up at the same time, right? 😁
How do you guys get started...? in Miscellaneous ·
I honestly love setting my opponent on fire and just beating them while they’re burning, but I try not to go too fast so I don't accidentally put the flames out. My go-to is hitting them right in the head and the groin... I've got no patience for heated arguments or people with kids.

They’re alive. Or at least they were when I was busy painting those Boeing jets. I didn't mix them up. 🤷 Well, go ahead and try. You learn best by making your own mess anyway. 👍
Starting a thread just for the hell of it (!?) in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Lord Byron, I hear you, and I’m right behind you on this. Some of these topics are just so incredibly stupid—it honestly insults common sense. It’s a total circus, the kind of mess that would make Congress blush if they ever saw it.

It is high time we put an end to these ridiculous threads and posts and actually turn this forum back into a decent place to hang out.

Everywhere you look, it's just lies upon lies and troll after troll, and you're stuck dealing with it. Honestly, trying to navigate this place during the summer is like trying to drive through Disney World traffic in San Francisco.

And then, the second you speak up about it, you get shut down immediately. 🙄 Yeah, sure, maybe we’re all a little messy, but at least we’re actually doing something. You people? You’re just sitting there watching the leaves fall while nothing gets done.

Make Lord Byron the moderator!

rustyfalcon4 said:Hey, hope everyone’s having a good one...

So, I was scrolling through some random corner of the internet and read something about mixing vodka with other stuff—maybe a rum and coke or something similar? Apparently, if you mix them a certain way, you don't even taste the booze while you're drinking it, but man, does it hit you later. I can't quite remember if I got that right, though. Is that actually how those drinks work?

Thanks in advance

System Administrator, there might already be a thread about this, but let's just leave this one up for now... once I get an answer, feel free to delete it.

Why make it complicated? Just inject the vodka straight into your veins and you won't feel the alcohol at all. No hands, no feet, nothing.

Just grab some white-out, paint over it, and toss it into your collection of little guys. 🤷

Honestly, dogs actually have a purpose on this planet, but we lost track of that once people started turning them into designer fur coats. I mean, sure, some folks keep them as pets, but I don't really get the appeal. They’re just lazy, selfish creatures, if you ask me.

Karen Ward85 said:Look, if Till hadn't done what she did, nobody would be complaining and we wouldn't be looking at sanctions for everyone else involved either. 😉

We're all just people here, I guess, but the rules on this forum are supposed to apply to everyone equally... If a ban can be lifted for someone who was Innocent, then it should apply to the tennis ball too... And honestly, maybe with the way things are being moderated lately, Till could use a little break. It's pretty obvious she needs one.

In my opinion, she’s actually one of the better moderators we have, though I know I'm biased—not like it's my call to make anyway.
She might act a bit cocky sometimes, but hey, that's part of her charm. Personally, I'd much rather deal with actual humans than some programmed robots.

Isn't it more productive to focus on lifting bans instead of just trying to throw everyone in jail? 😉

Stupidity is totally in the eye of the beholder, so calling a thread stupid isn't really much of an argument. I mean, we all have those specific PDFs out there that we think are absolute garbage.

Look, Till is a human being just like the rest of us, and he’s got a right to his own opinion, even if he is the moderator. That doesn't mean his personal take should mess with the rules that apply to everyone equally—but I won't get bogged down in that debate; there are enough objective people here to figure out what the truth is, just the truth and nothing else. 😉

If you just take a quick look at those controversial posts from tennis ball and Innocent, it’s pretty obvious that the insult from the ball-related one was just implied, whereas the innocent explicit one was straight-up blatant.

Now, I know some people want to start handing out warnings for jokes over in the chicken coop (ladies, didn't the name of that PDF practically scream that things might get a little messy and feathery in there?), but honestly, that’s not just foolish, it’s pathological. Especially since some of us actually view this as a sport, and sports are noble pursuits, regardless of what anyone thinks. Not everyone grew up on Bambi; some of us don't mind a little venison now and then. Let them eat.

Based on all that, I think warning and banning Innocent was way more unnecessary than it needed to be (especially considering the young lady stood her ground against those multi-pronged verbal attacks in the middle of that hostile chicken coop 😁), just like how banning anyone on that intentionally ridiculous PDF is a bad move.

My humble opinion? We're all our own harshest critics anyway, so institutionalized punishment doesn't make much sense under the stars, except maybe when dealing with truly disturbed individuals.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to seeing different subforums clashing again; it brings people together and keeps the conversation moving. I just hope next time there are even more people with opposing views, the language gets a bit rougher, and the warnings stay non-existent.

Love, Grandpa, 👋

That’s just because you were the new guy when you showed up. (Or so I thought, anyway... if that conclusion actually holds any water.)🤣Honestly, every single thread you started felt like something brand new. At least at first. Then, eventually, we hit that point where everything just started looping back on itself. It all became the same old stuff over and over again.

I don't really mind when the same old topics keep popping up again. Honestly, I’ve never had anything particularly brilliant to add to them anyway; they were mostly just a way to steer the conversation toward some jokes. But man, the interesting people have just vanished. The intellectuals, the absolute idiots... everyone. It’s just not as lively as it used to be.

It feels like there's fewer of you guys around here—people I actually give a damn about—and honestly, it feels like there's less of me, too. 🤷

We're basically witnessing a mass migration... these unruly teens have driven the nerds out of the hazelnut groves and across the entire forum landscape. Everyone’s out there dealing with their own personal trauma in a new homeland—assuming they even survived the move.
