This is exactly how I love racing—pure chaos and absolute carnage. The underdogs scrape together points while the heavy hitters spin out. Now, a bunch of you kids are sitting there feeling smug about those meager points your little favorites managed to grab... as if any of it actually matters. Let’s be real: > is the only one who truly knows who’s walking away with the championship trophy at the end of the season—whoever paid him the most, obviously. It’s been the same story for years; the whole thing is just a massive setup driven by whoever has the deepest pockets. These drivers piloting those multi-million dollar machines actually believe they're winning on merit, which is almost adorable. Maybe things were different back in the early eighties, but since then, this has just become a massive corporate enterprise. To stay profitable, they need a scripted narrative every single year, complete with a few manufactured "wild moments" just to make sure everything looks "cool" and keeps the crowds interested.

My brain is practically hitting its breaking point from this absolute deluge of information regarding the Australian Grand Prix....

The Verve really shot themselves in the foot there. Not only did they create a cover—meaning the publishing rights belong entirely to the original authors—but they also used samples from the original recording. Because of that, they completely missed out on the mechanical royalties too. In short, despite how often "Bittersweet Symphony" played on American radio and TV, they didn't see a single cent from it. 😢

Mustaine is actually a co-writer on several tracks from Kill 'Em All and Ride the Lightning. He’s been credited as such since the very day those albums were released. Since the music industry here in America is generally much better regulated than it would be in other parts of the world, he has undoubtedly been receiving his percentage all these years. So, wouldn't you think they'd be protected under Zamp???

Yikes... honestly, I'd rather deal with something much worse than that...
