stormybadger8 said:🤣 are you really trying to defend Ferrari here? 😂

well, Ferrari + Star = Ferstar Quote : The Best F1 driver 🤷

stormybadger8 said:but everything changes given enough time 🤣

Who knows? Maybe one day I'll find myself rooting for Ferrari, though I honestly doubt anyone will live to see that happen. 🤣

When Vettel was driving for them, would you have been cheering? If he actually drove, want to place a bet on it?

Michael Lee4 As requested:
Oh, just let him be. Honestly, he’s been nursing a grudge against me for two years now, all because I decided to shut down the chat on the automobile section. Ever since then, it feels like he's just lurking around the forum, constantly stalking my every move to see what I'm up to. Why does anyone hold onto such bitterness for so long? ☕

😲 I feel genuinely insulted right now... Am I really supposed to hold a grudge against you just because of that nonsense involving the chat?

It’s true that I’ve scaled back my visits to the forums lately. I really only find myself popping into the Automobile, Formula 1, and OFF sections now. So, please don't think I'm stalking you; it's just that our paths happen to cross in two out of those three places.

Is it excessive? Sure, I suppose it is. But what can you really do about it? ☕

I truly hope you took that as a joke, Michael Lee4—it was certainly a bit biting, but at the end of the day, it was meant as a joke.😍

I have to agree with you, even if I'm doing so reluctantly.🙄

I’m half-expecting our moderator to dock 20 points from the PDF Cars moderator just because the images in the opening post were way too large.🙂

As for the race in Canada, I am expecting a lightning-fast Red Bull with McLaren right on their heels. Ferrari looks like a total disappointment this year, and Mercedes is stuck in the same boat, though perhaps the Renault teams might actually challenge for the top spots. As for everyone else? I expect them to be trailing by at least a full lap, if not three.

Alright, so now you want me to channel all that inspiration and give you my take on the '90s too?
Remake 2007 in Formula 1 ·
silvercobra68 said:It feels like we’re about to watch the exact same play we saw back in the remake 2007, just with a different cast list this time around.

Sebastian Vettel playing the part of Lewis Hamilton
Mark Webber stepping into Fernando Alonso's shoes
Fernando Alonso taking on the role of Kimi Raikkonen
Massa playing Massa

Red Bull Racing acting out the McLaren role
Ferrari stepping into the Ferrari role

What do you all think? Let's discuss.

And silvercobra68 playing the role of the mama's boy...😉
Pros and Cons of Sebastian Vettel in Formula 1 ·
stormyviper11 said:Let's put it this way:

If the championship title is decided by whether a driver can somehow maneuver their car over a massive, solid stone wall...

...Michael Schumacher would probably assemble a whole crew of people to help him hoist the car over the wall, and then he'd clear it effortlessly.
...Jenson Button would organize a team to lift the car for him, but he’d end up slipping and falling halfway through—so, unless he breaks a leg, he'd eventually make it over.
...Lewis Hamilton would throw himself at the wall with everything he's got, trying to smash right through it, and then blame the wall for the accident.
...Sebastian Vettel would charge full speed into the wall and then burst into tears while apologizing to his team and the fans for being such an idiot.
...Fernando Alonso would gather a crew to help him out and would likely scale the wall, but every third or fourth attempt, he'd lose his temper and try to tear the entire wall down.
...Felipe Massa would just break down in Smedley's arms and wouldn't even bother trying to get over.
...everyone else wouldn't even be able to find the wall, let alone climb it (though maybe Robert Kubica or Nico Rosberg might figure it out eventually).
...Rubens Barrichello would somehow manage to get over the wall, only to realize someone else had already done it before him.

🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🙏🙏🙏

this actually gave me a good laugh, thanks 👍Michael Diaz4
Pros and Cons of Sebastian Vettel in Formula 1 ·
Sebastian Vettel is going to prove his true worth in a few years, but by then he’ll likely be sitting in a Ferrari rather than struggling with this fragile Neweyev machine...
Haha, looks like Williams is pulling ahead—I suppose Joe Biden got a little too carried away out there...😂

I mean, we actually had snow at the United States Grand Prix, which is something we just haven't experienced before 👋
China's economy: What's the move? in Formula 1 ·
What a complete disaster of a race. Once again, we have to deal with yet another British driver taking the win. Honestly, it’s just exhausting. 🤮

stormybadger8 said:The absolute highlight of that first practice session had to be when Sebastien Buemi pulled into the pits. You see these mechanics trying to ask him a few questions, and he just gives them this look—you know the one—like he’s about to dismantle their entire lives the second the cameras cut away. He just gently shoves one guy aside and wanders off toward the back of the garage. Honestly, was there ever a more perfect display of pure, unadulterated focus?😳

The poor guy was left in a state of absolute shock, so I can't say I'm surprised at all by that whole situation with the steering wheel. Honestly, given how everything unfolded, isn't it just completely understandable?

When you're hitting speeds around 300 miles per hour and suddenly your wheels fly off, it’s enough to give anyone a bit of a shock... though I suppose Kimi Räikkönen might be the only one who wouldn't blink. 😍 I’ve been sitting here staring at this video, trying to wrap my head around the sheer implications of what we just witnessed. Is it just me, or does it feel like we are standing on the precipice of something much larger than a simple race weekend? When you watch the telemetry, the way the driver manages those tires under such intense pressure, you have to wonder: where does the talent end and the engineering begin? It’s a delicate dance, isn't it? We often talk about the drivers as if they are superhuman, but they are ultimately tethered to the decisions made by engineers in a wind tunnel halfway across the country. It makes one reflect on the nature of precision itself. Can we ever truly achieve perfection in a sport defined by chaos and friction? Or is the beauty actually found in how close they can get to that impossible ideal before everything falls apart? I find myself circling back to that same question every time I see a replay. It’s a fascinating, albeit exhausting, loop to be stuck in.

Exactly. Just endless laps on an oval track—it’s certainly one way to pretend there's actual adrenaline involved...🙄

silvercobra68 said:It feels like we're leaning a bit too hard into nostalgia with this current era of F1. You've got single-stop strategies, and then the leader loses it all because of some tiny technical glitch. It’s going to be a "classic" season, I suppose.

In those old-school seasons, at least we had the drama of watching someone burn through their resources like Indira Gandhi🙄

I honestly can't remember the last time I tuned out of a race after just thirty minutes, but this? This is just painful.😢

stormybadger8 said:As I mentioned earlier, I said "allegedly" for a reason. The whole thing was actually lifted from Autosport, so it isn't really an original piece from Yahoo anyway.🤣

Isn't that just pure nonsense? Think about it logically. By the time they lift the car up, unscrew the wheel nuts, swap out the old rubber for the new set, tighten everything back down, and drop the car, it’s physically impossible to shave off more than two seconds. Even if they optimize the entry and exit from the pit lane, we might see a marginal improvement of maybe two seconds compared to previous seasons at most. Can we really expect much more than that?

Arthur Roberts12 said:Honestly, I think the only thing we can count on at the Las Vegas Grand Prix is that Hispania will be bringing up the rear with both cars on the grid and during the race itself.

It really is a shame that teams like USF and Stevo GP aren't making the grid this year... and wouldn't it be nice if they finally did something about the blue flag rules? Wouldn't it be much better if the faster driver actually had the right to overtake instead of being held up like this?🙄
