Hold on just a second.
Isn't she supposed to be the bassist?
She handles the vocals AND she's a damn fine painter, too.
Nike "borrows" album art in Music ·
Man, what a heated debate we have going on here!

Back in the day, people wore Chuck Taylors simply because they were the budget option—you wore them if you were basically broke. Fast forward to today, and that same "broke" demographic is out there buying high-end sneakers that cost $133.
Here’s the kicker: we went from the era of socialized equality to this massive, unstoppable wave of capitalism, or whatever you want to call it.
It’s everywhere. From the NBA players down to the die-hard fans, everyone is obsessed with those sleek, trendy silhouettes and all that hype.😁

Nowadays, the younger generation is the one rocking these kicks (and hey, I’m right there with them—as Amanda Chase13 proudly shouted 😁), but they aren't doing it for the price tag anymore. It’s about an identity—a way of saying, "Look at me, I've arrived."🙂 Honestly, while it used to be cool, today it feels a bit performative. It's like the shoes are doing all the talking for you. "Just look at my sneakers and know exactly who I am." Good grief. Not many people will admit it, but that's the reality.
That’s my take on it.

As for Nike? I’ve got enough sticks of dynamite ready to go; if anyone can figure out a way to sneak into Indonesia and shut those factories down, it's us!😁
Hyacinthe Marquez from the High Fidelity movie🙂
First thing I ever blast behind the wheel is Mr. Brightside by The Killers.

And honestly, I usually end up pulling into the driveway with my hands still gripping the steering wheel tight. 😁
That’s just the kind of energy you need in your car, you know? 😁

It’s Kurt Cobain! 😲

Honestly, he was the one guy I only ever listened to because my neighbor would blast him through those insanely massive, over-the-top speakers of his. 😁

Wait, remind me again—how long ago was it that he passed? I need to know so I can figure out when it'll be my turn! 😁😁😁

I think I finally started diving into that classic duo, Simon & Garfunkel, earlier today.
😁
As for the movie, I honestly think it holds up just as well now as it did back then. My only real critique is that after this one, it feels like Nichols drifted a bit too far into those overly sentimental romantic waters.

They were supposed to play a show in Chicago, but then the drummer got sick (drummers always find a way to ruin everything 😁)... personally, I think "Kolo" is actually a pretty solid album.. :/

They’re easily the worst when you look at how they compared themselves to Tom Waits on the Flyer!
I mean, who do they think they are?

Worst one: East Rodeo.

/Does anyone know who messed up my Death Disco track? 😲

The best one we missed out on.
