🤦😵 ...this is just awful

Out of the hundreds of tracks from all three movies that I hold dear, this one holds a special place in my heart... and honestly, these are my favorite 10 minutes of cinema because of it 🙂

And if you’re listening to the complete recordings, you simply cannot listen to the trio of "the road goes ever on...pt1" - "may it be" - "The road goes ever on... pt2" out of order. It just doesn't work. You have to hear them in sequence... pure perfection.

To be blunt: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is my absolute favorite cinematic achievement. I’m talking about perfection—though maybe RotK slips by a hair's breadth depending on whether I'm feeling more like watching the epic scale of the Return of the King or the tension in The Two Towers 🙂. Honestly, those three films sit in a league of their own; in my personal universe, they don't even compete with any other movies ever made.

As for The Hobbit, look, I don't care what kind of nonsense comes out of Middle-earth, they just don't belong in the same universe as LOTR. To me, putting them in the same sentence feels like pure blasphemy. 😁

There is absolutely no way Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter could just vanish. We are talking about two of the most critically acclaimed and massive financial juggernauts in Hollywood history. You aren't going to see them disappear for at least another fifty years, guaranteed. 😁

When you really sit down and think about the industry, it feels like they just go back to rebooting stuff because the last installment was either a critical disaster or a total box office bomb. It’s like, "Hey, let's try this again..." whether it flopped financially or just left everyone hating it. Take Spider-Man, for example. Hmm, nothing else is jumping out at me right now 😁 ... but honestly, look at RoboCop or Judge Dredd.

1 is easily the best of the bunch
2 has the absolute best opening scene... I mean, how many times can I rewatch 2 before it stops working? Every single time those deaths hit on that highway, I get goosebumps. And honestly, the rest of the deaths are just as messed up, in that specific way...
3 Aside from a pretty solid "intro" involving that death train (it doesn't quite hit the level of the highway scene, but it’s enough to make me think twice before hopping on a train in Chicago lol), the movie is alright. But let's be real, the most intense part of the whole thing is when those two idiots are at the tanning salon and that "Rollercoaster of Love" song starts playing, and then—well, you know what happens next while they're basically naked haha
4 To be honest, I don't really remember it. All I recall is walking out of the theater feeling like the whole thing was total garbage.
5 My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I remember the opening scene being pretty decent, and I actually liked how they tied everything back to the first movie at the end.

People were saying the first one was an absolute blast in 3D, so I’m assuming the sequel is even better... I've been scrolling through reviews lately, and everyone seems to be raving about how incredible the 3D experience actually is.

There are two things eating at me, though. First off, it kind of flopped at the box office, which makes me question if this trilogy is even going anywhere... plus, the first movie was just perfection for me.
Second, all they have in our local theaters is the dubbed version—seriously? It's such a letdown.

Amen... it's been a long, long time since a single trailer managed to "BS" me this hard...

Caught this last night—honestly, such a blast. It’s got a bit of a slow burn at the start, but once things really kick into gear, it’s gold. What I loved most, and what feels like a rare find these days, is how the jokes actually escalate. Most comedies just fizzle out or throw random stuff at you, but here, the laughs get bigger and sharper as the movie progresses. Zac Efron is great, even if he's not exactly my cup of tea, and David Francia holds his own. Rose Byrne was a total surprise to me too, since I haven't seen Bridesmaids, and Seth Rogen is just being his classic self. Definitely worth a watch if you need a laugh.🙂

On another note, I wanted to bring this up: the film pulled in $50 million over its opening weekend. That’s one of the strongest starts we've seen for an R-rated comedy in a long time. You can see all the details right here:

Honestly, a pretty pleasant surprise... nothing groundbreaking, sure, but I was fully expecting it to be a total disaster.

I’m with you on this one... I mean, seeing them tear it up on the big screen isn't exactly a bad way to spend an afternoon, but as far as the actual movie goes? It felt like they were building up this massive backstory just to pull the rug out from under us at the end. You walk away feeling like you didn't actually learn anything. The production value during the concert segments was top-tier, and man, watching them perform is intense, but the audio in the theater was surprisingly thin. Honestly, for a show like this, you want to feel like the speakers are going to blow out, not like you're listening through a tin can. It's a cool experience, sure, but I don't think I could survive a full viewing without seeing it live in person first.

I might be taking this too far, but I honestly don't think I've heard a better superhero theme than Williamson's work on Superman.

The theme is beautiful and definitely captures that sense of grandeur, but every single time I hear it, I’m immediately transported back to that scene where Batman falls through the corridor in Arkham Asylum, trying to save Rachel... and then the end of The Dark Knight. My god, when I saw that film in the theater for the first time, that final scene, the music, and then the title card: DARK KNIGHT... man, I practically wanted to jump out of my seat. As soon as it ended, I had to watch it again just to process how perfectly everything was composed!

The trailer looks like a total disaster. My only hope is that they lean even harder into those cheesy, patriotic one-liners and plaster every single frame with waving American flags in the background just to drive the point home.

Honestly, I think the American circle beats the Japanese one any day of the week... it’s faster, more dynamic, and just way more exciting. Go ahead and spit on me all you want 😁 ...what's got you so worked up? :P

So, AMC decided against picking up the 3D rights for this one... honestly, what a bunch of absolute clowns. It’s a complete joke of a cinema chain. Hahaha. Those scenes you guys listed? I almost lost my mind laughing. But seriously, one of the top three most disgusting moments has to be when that guy with the massive backside pretends to be a mountain in the miniature set, only to blast that jet of crap everywhere. Hahahahaha. What an idiot! I was sitting there in my room nearly choking on my own laughter.

Just wanted to chime in here... I just finished watching "Oldboy" and man, it was something else. Truly impressive. The way the plot kicks off—when he first encounters him and you think, "Okay, here's the antagonist," only for everything to spiral into absolute chaos right after—it really keeps you on edge. I won't lie and say I was completely blown away, though. Honestly, my mind is probably just racing with a dozen other things right now, and I usually find these kinds of gritty flicks a bit much to stomach. But I have a feeling that once I’ve had some time to decompress and clear my head, I'll be able to sit back and properly appreciate it for the masterpiece it likely is.

Exactly. If you’re a fan of Will Ferrell, you’re going to love this—and I absolutely adore him. Even if his delivery isn't always the most polished, the writing here is gold. There are so many brilliant scenes, sharp dialogues, and genuinely hilarious moments... honestly, I can't remember the last time a comedy actually made me laugh this much in the past year.

All I'll say is:
