Super (2010) in Movies ·
You can't help but compare it to Kick-Ass. While Kick-Ass is fun and cool, it's honestly pretty shallow and easy to forget. Super is a way better movie, though it's definitely not for everyone. It’s got some bizarrely funny moments mixed with tons of brutal, intense action. But man, the characters have so much more depth.

Rainn Wilson is great, but Ellen Page was my favorite. She's totally awesome, and honestly, she looks pretty hot in that costume... I don't know the last time a movie actress actually did that for me. 😁

Gotta highlight two scenes. First one is when the lead thinks he's having a vision from Bog and it's like his brain is being touched. Pretty weird, but so good. The second one is near the end—can't spoil it, but it's totally unexpected and super jarring. I think I actually yelled Holy shit while watching...

Yeah, Kevin Bacon was really good too.

Pretty solid flick. Actually unexpectedly good because I was expecting something else entirely. 8/10

The best part is definitely when Sigourney Weaver goes, "Get your hands off her, you bitch!" or something like that.

Total classic.

Why even compare it to Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz? That’s kind of an unfair fight... plus, Edgar Wright isn't even behind the camera here.

Regardless, the movie's good. It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s got charm and some solid laughs.
That probably all comes down to what you're expecting from it.

I'm happy with it.

Decent comedy, but nothing to write home about. A few cheap jokes here and there, but honestly? It’s pretty forgettable. You can easily skip this one.
The Dollars Trilogy in Movies ·
Man, I felt totally ripped off after watching Yojimbo and realizing the whole thing was just a shot-for-shot remake

btw Once Upon a Time in the West is still my absolute favorite🙂
John Woo in Movies ·
you totally blanked on my favorite, The Killer

but yeah, Woo is the man, especially those early Hong Kong action flicks, though Face/Off might be his peak
Vin Diesel in Movies ·
I can't stand Vin Diesel, he totally ruins every movie
the only time he actually works is in Pitch Black

La Jetée

I’m a huge Jack Black fan, but honestly, even his biggest stans won't be happy with this goofy flick
Jack Black is basically just playing himself again

skip it

It was a bit predictable, I guess, but they kept things creative enough to keep me hooked the whole way through
I usually don't vibe with these American animated flicks, but honestly, Toy Story 3 was the only one from last year that actually hit the mark for me

The Breakfast Club (2007) in Movies ·
Really solid movie, though I’m not sure if most guys would actually vibe with that character's whole thing—it felt a bit off to me...
Maybe it’s just because he’s Estonian and we tend to hype up stuff from there more, but honestly, the film didn't really blow me away...

Speaking of Bully behavior, it makes me think of the movie Ben X, so definitely check that one out if you haven't yet
