There was a time when we were all just fighting to keep this community alive, back when things felt different... a place where you could actually exchange ideas without everyone getting petty or nitpicking, maybe catching a little breeze from the Finger crew before they drifted away from the Bachelors after a few days... Was the Slack channel well-moderated? It could’ve been better, sure, but the real issue isn't the mods, it's the people actually typing in there... It's obvious even now with the Finger crowd constantly trying to bait people into reacting, so wouldn't it be better if that Slack was just shut down entirely? I can't be the only one who feels this way... Whether it's City Hall or the federal government, whoever is making these decisions clearly thinks one local dive bar is enough for an entire neighborhood. For those who can't stand the music, the crew or even just the fridge in that bar, they have the option to just open a brand new bar in a different neighborhood under the exact same name. And here, that’s nothing more than a single mouse click somewhere else... And this whole business of reporting posts is a total tragicomedy, especially coming from someone who is so prone to insulting other users. But oh, how convenient, they only ever report the posts that strictly break the rules. Give me a break...

I wouldn't even bother asking the mods to clean up this thread because they’ll never be able to tell the difference between actual jokes and just some washed-up losers acting like they own the place... How exactly is partial access supposed to stop you from reading a PDF file? The only thing you can't do is post, but reading is wide open just like it is for any random person who hasn't even signed up yet... That hardly feels like much of a solution to me...
I don't see why there would be any issue with the odds, except for when we're talking about setting those spreads, which I've already mentioned... What really gets under my skin is people dissecting everyone else's posts, though I guess some folks just live for that kind of thing.
And honestly, the people on these forums really need to learn that you don't have to quote someone's massive, mile-long essay just to leave a comment that isn't even a single, expanded sentence...

Yeah, same old story... just the usual reaction whenever anyone dares to call out the mods, which has been happening for over a year now. It’s pretty hilarious when you look at what’s actually left on the thread, where people are being way more blatant and insulting than anything nimbleowl6’s crew ever put out, and if you look at the facts, both nimbleowl6 and I are divorced anyway... 😲 And sure, the rules on this site have always been stricter, but back then they didn't feel the need to suffocate every single discussion... It’s just so convenient how they selectively dig up our sarcastic comments and act like it's some massive crime, as if none of us ever wrote a single coherent thought here and we're all just kids playing hooky from school instead... 🙄
From what I can see, there’s still a post right above mine that is absolutely dripping with irony. So, what happens to that one? Is it getting wiped too? Or will they wait to send a warning saying irony isn't allowed on this platform? They should probably just write it clearly in the ZUD rulebook: irony, sarcasm, and joking around are strictly forbidden. I mean, it was even mentioned recently that the horoscope thread was only allowed on ZUD because the PDF itself is so incredibly dry that it needs a little bit of life to keep it interesting... 🤷

We went from those massive PDF threads packed with actual life stories, real experiences, and genuine advice, straight down to this sterile, lifeless void where any topic with even a spark of heat gets shut down and forced back onto some "righteous path."
Most of us posting here are at an age where we should be able to debate things without turning into total jerks; I mean, sure, if we need to get a little heated or trade some verbal blows, fine, but at least let there be some damn life in the conversation...
And honestly, if we decide to take something as a joke once in a while, why is everyone acting like it's a crime? Is someone actually going to get their feelings hurt by a bit of sarcasm? Or can they just laugh it off, since a little humor is usually the best medicine...🙂

My suggestion has absolutely nothing to do with Facebook, Google Circles, or any similar social media platforms. It is quite simple: instead of quoting a post just to say "I agree" or "that's it," I should be able to just click a button.
I explicitly stated that this would be an "option during viewing THAT EVERYONE CAN CHANGE FOR THEMSELVES." If you want to follow the flow of a conversation, you sort chronologically. If you want to see the "top" content, you sort by votes. Both chronological and qualitative sorting have their respective advantages and drawbacks. The fundamental flaw in our current system is that high-quality contributions buried at the bottom of a page or in the middle of a massive discussion become completely invisible, which leads to repetitive arguments and causes threads to die out whenever a heated political flame war breaks out between opposing factions.
It sounds like those symptoms you're having are pointing straight toward low blood pressure... maybe give some royal jelly capsules a shot, because honestly, that’s what saved me when I was dealing with similar issues during my monthly cycle.
