Ugh, the forum's acting up again. Absolute nightmare...

Run a stress test

And honestly, if the older titles run fine but the newer ones are choking, it’s pretty damn obvious where the bottleneck is...

I actually skipped work because I was too stressed out and spiraling over what’s going on with this forum...

We don't have any issues—this forum is 100% secure.

What are we even talking about? This site is locked down tight...

Aside from the fact that it can't handle special characters properly—which means someone could easily end up getting their private messages intercepted by anyone with a similar username

But hey, like our esteemed moderator Casey Bennett says, the best move is just to install a massive pile of random extensions to keep all those security issues at bay🤣

I’ve got a feeling this thread will be locked pretty soon anyway, since apparently there isn't a problem—or it's already been "fixed"🤣

Double-check those connectors
Morgan Ortiz6 said:So, I just finished installing Linux (following your advice), and everything seemed fine at first. During the setup, it asked me to connect to my Wi-Fi—I picked my network, typed in the password, and it gave me the green light saying it was connected.
But once the whole installation wrapped up and I booted the machine back up, there’s this "connection failed" message sitting right at the bottom of the screen.
I clicked the network icon, saw my network listed with the exact right password I entered, but still—nothing. Not connected.
I have no clue what to do here.

Honestly? I don't get it either...

Basically, you decided to take advice from some guy who spends about 90% of his time lurking in the gardening subforum telling people how to grow lemons and bamboo on their balconies...

And let me guess—you didn't even bother watching the video (let alone actually following along) posted at the start of the thread. You probably just wasted your time trying to reinstall Windows over and over again with the same crappy results instead of watching that 17-minute clip where the guy breaks down the entire issue and gives step-by-step instructions on how to fix it without needing a full Windows reinstall...
Maybe try cleaning those connectors out with some WD-40
The real headache starts when you start typing "Error: video tdr failure (atikmpag.sys)" into Google or YouTube—you just get flooded with a million different "solutions" that don't actually work...

Honestly, it’s getting ridiculous—everyone is constantly getting their hands on new laptops or tablets, yet half of them can't even find the damn power button...

It looks like you're looking at drivers for the PCI encryption/decryption controller, the SMBus controller, and probably some other stuff—most likely USB 3.0 or something along those lines.
