Getufko online for moderator!!

Honestly, though, just changing leadership isn't the silver bullet here. Things have spiraled quite a bit because those provocateurs weren't reined in when they first started acting up. Now, we're at a point where trying to foster a healthy, normal conversation feels like an uphill battle.

If you really want my two cents, I’d send in a "heavy hitter" 😍 to prove they can actually handle the heat and maintain order in the main chat 😬
Then, if they can hold their own there, maybe we could let them host a dedicated thread in the off-topic section 🙂
At the end of the day, if you're seeing the exact same behavior across six different setups, we aren't looking at a fluke; we're looking at an outside influence.

If this were a power delivery issue, you’d likely hear the power supply unit screaming for mercy. Personally, I’m not buying the electromagnetic interference theory just yet.

Now, pinpointing exactly which device is acting as the culprit? That’s the million-dollar question, and honestly, it's a tough nut to crack.

That said, @rowdycobra552, why don't you try taking the rig over to a friend's place again? But here's the twist: leave your current power supply behind and swap in theirs.

It shouldn't run properly if there's a fundamental issue, but if it suddenly starts behaving, then you've found your smoking gun in the power supply.

Also, if you have an old, reliable PC lying around, give that a shot. Shut down everything else in the house—unplug all the other appliances—and just boot up the computer. Then, every ten minutes or so, plug one device back in and see if that triggers the glitch.

rustydrifter10 said:Directly insulting another user is strictly prohibited, though everything else depends on the context. We aren't trying to turn this forum into a sterile environment, but there have to be some boundaries. The sports section is moderated a bit more loosely—swearing there usually passes as long as you aren't aiming it directly at another person.

I’m sorry, but have we really reached a point where not being a foul-mouthed jerk is considered "sterile"?

Look, I agree that excessive profanity isn't classy. Phrases like "screw it" or "get lost" are one thing, but I don't see any logical reason why using heavy blasphemy or extreme vulgarity should be permitted. Aren't those insults essentially the same thing? If someone shouts a slur about mothers, isn't that effectively disrespecting every mother participating in this community? Similarly, swearing against Jesus, Allah, or other religious figures is an attack on someone's very essence, because that is what faith represents.

It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the inconsistency here. On one hand, we can't even say "clearly we aren't on the same page," yet on the other, certain types of verbal spitting are allowed just because they target specific things important to certain people. No, rustydrifter10, that isn't being "liberal" or open-minded; it feels more like hypocrisy. I mean, what is the real difference between insulting someone's intellect and insulting their worldview or beliefs? Isn't it all the same when you dismiss someone's choices by implying they are foolish or unintelligent?

I know I tend to fight with windmills sometimes, but this really catches me off guard..
What a joke. in Feedback & Suggestions ·
On this entire forum, swearing isn't just allowed—it’s practically expected. In fact, if you aren't dropping an F-bomb every other sentence, you almost end up looking out of place.

But this morning, I stumbled upon a comment from a few days back that crossed a line. It used a phrase targeting someone's mother through a religious insult, which goes way beyond simple profanity. It’s not just a curse word; it’s a direct slur against a group of people and a deep personal insult to the individual involved. Since all of this seems to be flying under the radar here, it really makes me wonder: what kind of moral compass are the people in charge using when it comes to policing the standards and values of this community?

I really don't have the energy to read through this whole thread, so if I've misinterpreted any of the drama here... 😬

neonfox12, please. You’re just being provocative and disrespectful at this point. It feels like you're just digging your heels in because you can't let it go—even if you aren't technically wrong, you're overreacting about 80% of the time. That basically makes you look like a nuisance and a troll most of the time. The way you pick certain people to praise while constantly tearing others down seems to stem from some internal frustration because things haven't gone your way, and honestly, it isn't cool. It’s actually kind of sad.
And don't give me that "I don't care" act. Please, we can all see you've had a rough time, but putting on this persona is just too much 🤷 if you would just take a breather and be reasonable... 😬

Don't come in here and troll my thread 😳

I am trying to have a serious discussion here, so please, let's keep it civil. Your analysis is completely off base 😳

(I know you're joking around, but this isn't the place for it. I promise I'll swing by the "off-topic" section later so you don't feel left out 😛 )

Matthew Anderson said:I want to point out a reality you might be overlooking: what you consider to be harmless joking or lighthearted banter is actually being flagged by users as harassment or trolling. They aren't just blowing it off; they are actively filing reports. If that hasn't made it clear enough yet, let me lay it out for you:
Either you’re just taking a wild guess at what counts as shipping, or you’re making a pretty poor call on what actually qualifies.
Either you call out the hypocrisy of the users you’re playing nice with, or you just let it slide.

It’s all crystal clear now, though honestly, I didn't really see the pattern until you pointed it out the other day. My main concern is this: how am I supposed to know if someone is actually flagging me or reporting my posts?
I have no idea who we’re talking about here, but let’s call it what it is: pure hypocrisy. I’ve gone out of my way to send private messages to just about everyone who took offense at my jokes—everyone except Amby, though I actually went ahead and apologized to Mickey publicly. I make it a point to clear the air with people personally when things get a bit too heated.

Look, my point was that I wasn't given any heads-up about this. One minute everything is fine, and the next, out of nowhere, I'm hit with penalties of 35 and 45 points. Honestly, that kind of sudden, unexpected crackdown is something I’ve only ever experienced back in the States.
Matthew Anderson said:If you still can't manage to communicate effectively, then honestly, you don't deserve a second chance. Dealing with this kind of silence feels less like a misunderstanding and more like someone is just trying to dodge their responsibilities.

He was given a second chance just two months ago, and since then, he’s gone out of his way to provoke me twice. I'm done. There aren't any more chances left in the tank for him.
Matthew Anderson As I was saying:
I can’t help but draw a parallel here to the LJES chat. It feels like there are almost never any reports filed there, whereas over in the US, they stay on top of things constantly. Look, I know we aren't obligated to host a chat, but if we’re going to maintain one for a topic that generates ten pages of content every single day, even an entire army of moderators wouldn't be able to keep up with the chaos.

I’m active in that chat, but honestly, the second things get even slightly heated, everyone gets hit with a written warning. Lately, it feels like Rosie is the only one actually managing the US chat. Because of that, I really think it might be worth considering promoting one of our regular contributors to a moderator position to help balance things out. 🙂

What the US chat is truly missing is a genuine symbiosis between the moderators and the users. If you look at the LJES chat, for instance, they have a core group of trusted members who know exactly how to step in and react when things go sideways; it’s similar to the vibe over at the ZUD chat, where you have that active involvement from the moderators. Even on MK, the moderators aren't just watching from the sidelines—they are right there in the thick of the conversation.

It feels like things are getting a bit out of hand over on the US forums. It seems like moderators are jumping on user reports so quickly that they don't even have enough time to grasp the actual context or the backstory behind a situation. Specifically, looking at how Meadow handles moderation, there’s a noticeable lack of respect for the spirit of the community. Now, don't get me wrong—I'm not complaining just to be difficult. I'm pointing this out because it's becoming a genuine weak link in our ecosystem. She isn't technically breaking any rules, but she tends to be overly rigid and takes everything far too literally. That approach doesn't actually solve anything; it just creates friction. If we could smooth things out on the US side, I’d bet anything that we wouldn't see the kind of headaches currently plaguing LJES (especially considering the parallel you drew earlier). Even on LJES, we still deal with those certain "patients" who try every trick in the book to troll the system. Take that guy from yesterday, for instance—the one posting those graphic, obscene descriptions. You can't fix issues like that by just being a rulebook robot. 🙄
Matthew Anderson said:If I’ve already given you a heads-up once to calm down before things escalate into real trouble, that should be plenty of warning to stop the behavior. Just a reminder: the Ignore function is right there—please use it.

Are you seriously suggesting that a warning from nearly a year ago still carries weight? We haven't even had a meaningful conversation in over six months. Are you really saying that if someone gets flagged for their conduct and then commits a completely separate infraction after a massive gap in time, that old warning is still hanging over their head? That feels incredibly excessive to me. If every society functioned like that, people would be stuck paying traffic tickets and tied up in courtrooms for decades just because of one mistake they made ages ago.
Matthew Anderson said:We aren't obligated to reach out via DM to let someone know they're being reported.

I have to disagree; that doesn't feel right at all. Again, I’m looking at this through the lens of how a healthy community operates. It’s like living in an American town where someone is constantly calling the police on you, but you have no idea who is doing it or even what the specific complaint is. I actually think there should be some sort of middle ground—perhaps a policy where you notify a user that complaints are being filed against them, without necessarily having to reveal the identity of the accuser.
Matthew Anderson said:Feel free to file an appeal regarding the strikes. Send a message to the moderation team for that PDF; if the strike is overturned or deemed too harsh, none of the mods will take issue with that decision.

There's no need for that; this discussion is about preventing future issues, not litigating the past.
Matthew Anderson said:If the arguing is still ongoing, remember that it takes two to tango—so that applies to both of you. Consequently, you both received a warning.

I specifically asked you: am I still fueling the fire here? Am I the one refusing to back down, or did I tell him enough? Your response was far too diplomatic—you focused entirely on the fallout while completely sidestepping the root cause of the problem.
Matthew Anderson said:I’m not entirely sure if you take the time to dig through the specific rules for each individual PDF sub-forum, but it's worth noting that almost every single one has its own set of localized guidelines sitting right alongside the general forum-wide policies. It’s a bit like how different departments in a massive corporation like General Electric might have their own internal protocols even though they all follow the same overarching corporate handbook. Take the LJES boards, for instance—they tend to be incredibly strict and meticulous about how threads are categorized and split. On the other hand, the US forum takes a much more laid-back, "anything goes" approach to how things are organized.

Well, there you are! I’ve been waiting for you to show up. Tell me, how many points do I have sitting in my account over at LJES? And honestly, do you think my communication style feels any different here compared to how things work in the US?
Matthew Anderson said:You might feel like you’re flying under the radar, but trust me—the moderators see everything. It’s a different perspective entirely. Look, since we can't reach an agreement on whether we should be handing out partial bans right away, there's a middle ground. Before anyone gets the hammer dropped on them, they’ll receive a warning first. Think of it as a digital tap on the shoulder, a way of saying, "Hey, take a breath; you've seriously crossed the line this time."

I’ll be the first to admit I went a bit overboard, but I don't see how that justifies the threat of an immediate partial ban. Come on! That wasn't just a "hey, take it down a notch" kind of warning. It felt much more like a final notice before being kicked out entirely. Look, you mentioned that the moderation over at the FCC is much stricter, but even there, I only received a minor infraction notice rather than a massive pile of penalty points. Honestly, if I were in that exact same situation under their jurisdiction, I don't think I would have even been flagged with a partial ban, let alone faced the hammer.

How do you explain the fact that others—and I won’t name names here—who have been causing trouble for ages by picking fights, setting up clone accounts just to argue with themselves, or spamming the boards with endless troll threads, somehow manage to survive without facing any partial bans? They seem to breeze right through. Meanwhile, here I am. After only two minor run-ins with the same individual (though it seems you've decided that's the only issue at hand), I find myself sitting one violation away from being kicked off the platform entirely. It feels like there's a massive double standard in how the rules are applied.
Matthew Anderson said:If the US moderators decide that a user deserves a partial ban because they’re disrupting the flow of conversation on the forum, they can issue a warning—which is exactly what you and Amby received. Honestly, I find it a bit funny that we’re nitpicking over semantics here. It would make more sense if we were arguing about whether or not you actually received a partial ban, but you didn't. You received a standard warning. It wasn't a restriction on your account; it was simply a heads-up that if this behavior continues, then a partial ban will be on the table.

If you take a look at the thread, specifically in the section for banned users, you'll find the exact warning I received in the second post. Here it is, verbatim:
If this trend continues, we’re looking at a serious problem on our hands. You always seem to jump right in without any warning at all. It’s entirely possible for a partial allocation to be granted.

Bold seems to be implying that I’ve somehow been partially banned, simply because I’m being told I can't use certain expressions I grew up with—terms that wouldn't cause a stir in any normal, everyday conversation. It's a bit absurd, really. If I were to tell another user, "You're such a dummy," under today's hypersensitive standards, would that be enough to trigger a partial ban? If that's how the logic works, then I have to wonder: what does a standard warning even look like in this environment?

Alright, let's get serious here—in what way exactly am I disrupting the conversation? Is it because I’m constantly picking fights? Am I just talking to myself? Sending unsolicited photos? Making xenophobic jokes? Just look at the responses I typically get on my posts.
I have no idea which specific posts were reported, but I’d appreciate it if you could show me a few of the ones that drew the most flags. That way, we can actually pinpoint exactly how I’m "disrupting communication." 🤷

Comparing this situation to grasping at straws is a total understatement, mostly because I laid out my reasons for starting this thread very clearly. Let's clarify exactly why they think I'm such a massive problem. ☕
Matthew Anderson said:To put it politely: you two should probably just mute each other and give one another a wide berth. That’s the bottom line. And if you’re expecting us to rescind the warning, don't hold your breath—we have absolutely no intention of doing that.

Moving forward, you won't see me addressing him anymore. It isn't because I'm afraid of getting a ban, but rather because I don't see any point in trying to have a discussion with someone when it's fundamentally impossible.

I've already stated my expectations: I want an explanation as to why my minor slip-ups are treated like national crises while everyone else is allowed to run wild across the USA.

By the way, dear Administration, I was actually quite pleased to read this official statement from the Administration itself.

I’d like to focus specifically on this section:
privileges are revoked from users who persistently and systematically violate the rules on specific subforums and choose to ignore moderator instructions and explanations.

That bolded phrasing really caught my eye, so I’d appreciate some clarity. Could you please provide some concrete, numerical metrics for what exactly constitutes "persistently and systematically violating the rules" versus "ignoring moderator instructions and explanations"?

To be honest, I don't feel like I've been "persistent or systematic" in my rule-breaking; in my book, that would imply breaking them every few posts. As far as I can recall, I’ve only ever ignored a moderator's instruction a single time.

mistyhound94 said:You’re on my ignore list for good reason, but I couldn't help myself from reading this lecture you're giving. You're just trying to play the victim, acting like you're being oppressed in the chat and making sure everyone sees how "unfairly" you're being treated.
So, let's take it from the top.

The truth is, your ego is simply too massive.

If you haven't realized it yet, I am completely fed up with getting warnings on the US site—warnings I seem to get exclusively on the US site—which have effectively locked me out of other sections of the forum.
mistyhound94 said:First off, double standards don't apply to me, nor have they ever. I’ve taken my fair share of warnings for things I’ve actually messed up, and I didn't make a fuss about it because I knew exactly what I did and why it happened. I don't have any special treatment from the moderators, nor have I ever asked for it; I don't need it.

So, how is it that not a single one of your toxic posts aimed at me has resulted in a warning, yet here I am, having just been docked 45 points for an "indirect" response to you?
Every single time, you feel personally targeted. Even though I have you on my ignore list, you still insist on jumping into the chat to comment on my interactions with other members. Seriously, where do you get the right to weigh in on something I said to someone else by asking, "Why are you responding to people like that?" Am I "someone like that"? Fine, if you want to throw down, then tell me exactly what kind of person you think I am.
By the way, I get along just fine with those members; we even talk via DM, which you clearly aren't aware of, but that doesn't stop you from taking cheap shots at me every chance you get... constantly.
mistyhound94 said:Second, I don't start these arguments. Just because I occasionally find myself caught up in a heated debate doesn't mean I'm there just to bicker or stir the pot. Honestly, I'm sick of people constantly coming in and grating on my nerves with their little jabs and provocations. Sure, I used to engage in that more, but I have absolutely nothing to gain from it anymore.

I mentioned above how you initiate the bickering; every time, I just stay quiet, but this time I was addressing someone else, not you.
In fact, almost every opinion you hold triggers a confrontation. If you want proof, just look at how people react whenever you post about things like job hunting or getting your driver's license, and so on.
Your takes are so bizarre that it makes me wonder if you're even an adult, because they radiate such overwhelming naivety and lack of life experience.
mistyhound94 said:Thirdly, you’re once again taking indirect jabs at me by essentially calling me a coward—and look, feel free to just say what you actually meant; nobody here is going to come after you for being blunt. I am going to report this (because, fine, maybe I am a bit sensitive), and I'll let the moderators decide if that warrants a penalty. Given our history of clashing, I know perfectly well that your comment wasn't some harmless joke, so you absolutely earned that warning for labeling me a pathetic loser. As for your claim that I’m constantly filing reports? That is simply not true. Unless you have some sort of backdoor access to my private activity, you can't possibly be so certain. Honestly, lying just isn't a good look.

The reason I choose not to resort to cheap shots or mindless insults is quite simple: I have no desire to be vulgar. If you take a look at my communication style, you’ll see that I rarely, if ever, use profanity—it's pretty easy to verify that if you care to check. Furthermore, when I critique something, it is never a personal attack on you as an individual; rather, it is a direct critique of your actions and reasoning. Expressing an opinion in this manner is perfectly legal under the laws of this country, and since this forum has committed itself to upholding those very laws, my right to speak my mind remains intact.

What can I even say to those insinuations? Honestly, man, I am completely indifferent to you. I don't even address you directly, yet somehow that doesn't stop you from nitpicking my interactions with others, reporting my posts, and going on and on like this. Seriously, help me out here—why do you feel such a constant need to comment on everything I write?

When I used the word "wretch," I was honestly just reacting to the social pressures around me at that moment. It wasn't a calculated strike; I didn't even consider for a second that someone would take it out of context like this. But here we go again—we’re back to square one. Since I’m already on your ignore list, why does my opinion of you even matter to you? To be perfectly blunt, I couldn't care less what you think of me. That’s exactly why I never once thought about reporting any of your posts directed my way.

Believe me when I say this: I’ve been having private conversations with a handful of people from this chat, so I have a certain level of inside knowledge. Given where you stand on these issues, it’s pretty obvious to me that you're one of the primary agitators driving this whole thing.
mistyhound94 said:Fourthly, let’s be completely honest here: you’ve been one of those people who brings nothing but turbulence to this chat. You come in with the constant teasing and that condescending "know-it-all" attitude, acting like you’re somehow positioned above everyone else—myself included. It felt like you were relentlessly trying to force your specific worldview down our throats, insisting that your perspective was the only one that actually made sense. You constantly pushed back against my views, attempting to mold my thinking to fit yours. Look, buddy, I built my own way of thinking and gathered my life experience on my own terms. Just because my conclusions don't sound logical, right, or "correct" according to your internal compass doesn't mean they aren't valid. I’ve learned how to live with my choices just fine. But instead of respecting that, you kept showing up in this chat to lecture me, trying to teach me what you consider to be "the truth." And every single time I disagreed, you’d double down, repeatedly telling me that I simply "didn't get it" or wasn't grasping the concept. Here is some free advice: if you can't convince another adult to see things your way, for heaven's sake, just let it go. Accept that people have their own paths and leave them be. Go ahead and live that "perfect" life you’re always projecting—the one where you’re the ultimate authority, the world traveler, the expert on everything, the man who knows best. That’s fine for you, but stop trying to sell it as the only roadmap available to the rest of us. Honestly, it’s just exhausting.

Go ahead and ask your friend exactly what I posted in the chat—you know, back when she actually bothered to grab coffee with me just a few days after I arrived. I only stepped in to try and help because she spoke so highly of you, but honestly, your ego is just impossible to deal with. If you hadn't acted the way you did, I would have been more than happy to get to work today.

Come on, mistyhound94, why don't you explain to me what you've actually accomplished in your life? You're only a year younger than I am. Did you even graduate? What kind of jobs have you held? Have you ever been in a long-term relationship? Have you traveled through Europe?
In my twenty-seven years, I've experienced all of that, and at several different levels. Professionally, I've been a team member, a team leader, and essentially the right hand of the company. I worked for a firm that managed to stay profitable during its toughest crisis years—and still is—even while operating in an industry that's currently struggling to stay afloat, like construction. Right now, I'm working at a company where, despite having my degree, I'm among staff members who lack formal education. Do you honestly think I lack life or professional experience? On what basis are you making that judgment?

And tell me one more thing: how many people actually backed up your stance? Look, I went overboard trying to help you, fine—throw stones at me if you must. ☕
mistyhound94 said:So, are you going to keep mocking me and throwing these pathetic little jabs my way? Go ahead, do it. I’m sure I’ll see them later in some quotes, and then I’ll be the "weak one" who reports posts for harassment. Just learn to face reality, or simply don't feel the need to speak at all if you aren't prepared to deal with the consequences of your constant teasing and those subtle, passive-aggressive insults. If I decide to hit back, I couldn't care less if I get a warning, a ban, or a suspension; I'll take it like a man instead of playing the victim like this.

If you can't provide actual proof of me mocking you, then you're just trolling.

Oh sure, I'm the one "insulting you subtly" and constantly targeting you—it's clearly all my fault.
mistyhound94 said:That's all from me, over and out. ☕

To be honest, I wasn't expecting anything else from you.

Link Back to the original thread...
I’m not looking to get into a back-and-forth argument here; my goal is simply to reach an agreement. If we’re going to stick to the original terms, then I need you to release my partial payment immediately. Honestly, I’ve reached my limit—I just don't have the energy to waste any more time filing formal complaints.
Matthew Anderson said:Most of the reports we receive here on the US forum actually originate from the chat itself. Regarding what you’ve described as "just joking around" or "teasing"—those incidents are being reported quite consistently. In fact, there have been plenty of instances where you’ve had your own posts flagged by the very people you were supposedly just playing around with. That’s a pretty common pattern on the US chat: everyone acts like they're just having a laugh, "har har," and then they turn around and report one another, expecting us to step in and mediate. Even a good chunk of those posts you specifically labeled as "joking" were reported by other members as outright trolling. It really goes to show that there isn't much integrity among those who claim they're just kidding.

Look, everyone knows there’s some friction between The Ambassador and you, and honestly, I think you guys are blowing this way out of proportion. It’s nothing new, and it's definitely not the first time you've turned this into such a massive ordeal.

This back-and-forth has been dragging on for far too long, so we’ve decided that both of you need an official warning before we move toward a formal ban. Let’s be completely honest here: there is such a thing as the "ignore" button—and I don't just mean the one built into the forum software. You two could easily choose to simply block each other out and stop engaging altogether, right? You both had plenty of opportunities to do exactly that a long time ago, but you didn't. Why? Because let's face it: sniping at one another in a public forum is entertaining. Even if you have someone on your ignore list, you can still report their posts and then go back to ignoring them. This warning is well-deserved. (And just to be clear, this is a warning, not an immediate ban.)

The USA definitely needs more moderators—in fact, we’ve already been in discussions to secure some additional help—but there is a major caveat here. We have to be incredibly careful about who we bring on board. The last thing any of us wants is to recruit people who are going to spend their entire shift policing our conversations and making life difficult for everyone in the chat.

I’m going to circle back to this final section, so please bear with me if I end up repeating myself a little bit.
So, where exactly am I missing the mark here? If there’s an actual rule violation, then by all means, take action. But don't you think it would be more reasonable to send a quick private message before jumping straight to a formal strike for a first offense? Honestly, that’s my biggest gripe with how Meadow handles things—it feels less like moderation and more like pure repression. If someone is just reporting posts for the sake of being a nuisance, they should be the ones getting a warning card for trolling. As for me, I was genuinely just joking around. Aside from those few little disagreements, I wasn't being serious, and even when I was engaging more directly, I never intended to cause any real trouble.

Honestly, things have been pretty much the same regarding the USA since my last visit. I actually ran into another situation in the federal agency's chat room today... It’s getting to the point where I feel like I'm in a daily standoff with him; there’s really no way around it.

He had me on the back burner for over six months, which is a hell of a long time to be left hanging. But then again, I’ve always believed that everyone deserves a second chance at some point, don't you think? Looking further down, I took a moment to revisit that warning mentioned earlier...

Look, I’m not suggesting anyone needs to start babysitting the chat, but I do think we should consider appointing moderators who are heavy users of the platform. Someone who lives in these threads actually understands the "power dynamics" at play here. On top of that, I really feel like the USA needs its own dedicated moderators—people who are strictly focused on the American side of things. Honestly, it’s pretty obvious that you and Meadow are spread too thin trying to keep up with everything, and please don't take this as a critique; I just think we need more hands on deck to keep things running smoothly.

It’s such a shame we don't have Rosie around anymore. She was exactly the kind of moderator the US needs right now—someone who actually knows how to steer the ship.
Matthew Anderson said:Based on how you're laying this out, are you saying that not a single moderator can issue a warning for partial bans because they're considered a threat? I have to say, I just can't get behind that logic. As for the "loser" comments—like I mentioned earlier—our community handles that stuff quite effectively. We consistently report those kinds of remarks, whether they fall under harassment or just plain old trolling.

And what about all this talk regarding discrimination? It feels like we’re heading toward a situation where someone will eventually just walk up and claim, "Hey, look, the word 'retard' has been a term of endearment in my vocabulary since I was born. If you try to call me out or penalize me for using it, then you're the one being discriminatory." Depending on how you frame it, calling someone a "poor soul" doesn't necessarily have to be an insult. It really all comes down to the context of the conversation.

Is it really okay to jump straight to threatening a partial ban without even a heads-up that I was being inappropriate? Honestly, I haven't received a single private message suggesting I’d gone too far or been off-topic, regardless of how you look at it. It’s just zero points for communication. Seriously, the way you handled things with me after my initial run-in with The Ambassador was practically non-existent.

So, they’re reporting me now? Honestly, I wish someone had just sent me a quick private message to let me know people were actually complaining about my posts. You know how it goes—if you aren't aware that you're heading in the wrong direction, you'll never even think to correct your course.

I’m talking about the blatant lack of consistency here. Honestly, that’s been the issue from the very beginning... and it is exactly why I’m so frustrated with that last ruling.
Matthew Anderson said:And that’s exactly why, I honestly can't tell what he's trying to pull with all this constant sarcasm. It feels like he’s just endlessly trolling at this point.Look, he received a warning before the partial ban, too. To be perfectly honest, you both earned it because this back-and-forth argument has been dragging on forever. I’ve actually stepped in several times—even sending a few private messages to certain people—asking everyone to just drop it and move on, but clearly, that hasn't worked. Besides, he’s racked up quite a few strikes himself, so there really isn't any ground to claim we're playing favorites or using double standards here.

Can you tell me if that same logic applies to my situation as well?

Man, we really are just going back and forth at this point, aren't we? Honestly, this marks my second major clash with him here in the States within a single year. And people keep asking me when I actually received a warning? Look, if I get a warning that basically translates to, "Do that one more time and you're facing a firing squad," then I haven't been warned. Beyond that, I’ve also had my fair share of friction with Mickey, as well as with you and Meadow. If we're tallying up all my "offenses" regarding the USA over the last twelve months, those are pretty much the big ones.

To be clear, when I mentioned double standards, I was talking specifically about mistyhound94. He’s constantly filing reports and essentially baiting people into arguments. I actually laid out exactly how he does it over in that thread in the banned users section, so there's no mystery there. It's a pattern that keeps happening, but frankly, I haven't had the patience to report every little bit of nonsense like that. Maybe it's finally time I start...
Matthew Anderson said:That’s a pretty weak argument to lean on. Since different PDFs can carry entirely different moderation policies, using that as a basis for your point feels like a total stretch—it’s honestly just a bad spin on the facts.

Are you actually listening to yourself? What exactly is the difference between the moderation policies here at LJES and the rest of the USA? I’m pointing this out specifically because of those PDFs of yours. How is it even possible for the forum rules within a single PDF to be applied so much more repressively than they are everywhere else? We aren't talking about different forums here; we are talking about one single... well, you know.

What you’ve done here is a textbook case of twisting my argument around. It’s a classic logical fallacy—if you’re claiming my post was just a bad spin, then by that very logic, yours is nothing more than a complete distortion of what I actually said.

Reading through your take on this whole situation, I’ve got to say, it really reinforces my suspicion. It feels like I was spot on to doubt that this is just some petty personal grudge or a clash of egos between individuals.
Matthew Anderson said:Since your appeal covered everything from complaining about why other users weren't being punished to bad-mouthing the moderator, along with those excessive spins and treating a simple "warning" like a personal threat, I honestly debated whether it was even worth getting back to you at all.

Look, I wasn't trying to play the "why not me?" card or act like I was being treated unfairly just because someone else got a pass. That’s not my style. I was simply using him as a point of comparison to highlight a glaring inconsistency. Think about it this way: there's a guy who's constantly clashing with people on a weekly basis, yet he hasn't even faced a partial ban—he just keeps getting the same warnings over and over. Meanwhile, here I am, having dealt with maybe five total disputes with the USA oversight in an entire year, and I'm receiving the exact same threats of suspension. It doesn't add up. I could wrap my head around it if my infractions were significantly more severe than his, but from where I'm standing, my only real "crime" seems to be that I refuse to back down when a moderator pushes too hard. It feels less like discipline and more like being penalized for standing my ground.
Look, I’m not exactly campaigning to have them hand him a partial credit or anything like that. My point is really about the glaring inconsistency in how these criteria are being applied. It just doesn't sit right with me—I simply don't see any logical justification for issuing a "warning" via a partial deduction when it's being applied to my tiny little portion of this.

Just so we’re crystal clear: consider this your final warning before any actual action is taken. Whether you want to admit it or not, that was an outright threat.
It would have been a completely different story if you had just told me, "Hey, look, people are reporting your posts left and right, so maybe reconsider how you're coming across," and then I could have just kept moving along. If that had happened, I would have understood it as a genuine
warning. I wasn't attacking the moderator personally; my issue was with her specific approach and how she handles things. Those are critiques of her performance, and I believe I have every right to voice them.
Lack of integrity and transparency at US in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, I’m facing a level of censorship here that I just can’t wrap my head around... It isn't just that my perspectives are being mocked without any actual substance or counter-arguments; it’s that whenever I try to present a rebuttal—one that I believe is perfectly reasonable given my right to an opinion—my posts are simply deleted. This effectively prevents other users from seeing my thought process, essentially ripping my words out of context. What makes this even more frustrating is that the moderator himself was the one who originally brought up this specific topic.

I’ve actually been insulted by members of the staff, with them claiming my choice of terminology is "at the level of a two-year-old." When I tried to point out how disrespectful that was, my post was wiped away. How on earth would you characterize those kinds of "moderation tactics"? Seriously?

On a different note, I recently kicked up a bit of a fuss regarding the criteria for being banned and how things are being taken out of context. I was told there was nothing wrong with a certain user's behavior, simply because I had suggested to someone that they might be more intelligent than what they actually wrote.

So, I have to ask: is this forum fundamentally hypocritical, or am I missing something?
