Me.
I’d say it finally works after a bit of coughing—though I won't go so far as to swear by 🙂

It works.
The WordPress guy claimed he was clueless—suggested I reach out to Akismet directly since their filter might have flagged Reddit as spam. So, I contacted Akismet.

Reddit had been caught in Akismet's spam filter.

Not anymore. 👋 🎉🙂

edit: still broken 🙂

They’re just messing with me. 😢

That's only an issue for those who lack the sense to realize just how clueless he really is.

So—what exactly is your faith?
😢

Thanks anyway.—not that it matters much.

Dear Mr. WordPress...

Passing this "problem" up the chain.

Thanks 👋
I'd be thrilled if you could bring that option back—assuming it wasn't removed by mistake. 😬
The forum might be blocking Reddit referrals from showing up in the stats—I can't tell if that's actually what's happening or if it's something else entirely, so I'm asking. I don't see any reason why Google or WordPress would suddenly stop tracking Reddit referrals unless the site admins specifically requested it, assuming everything was working fine until now.
Need some help here. 🙂

So, being a moderator isn't enough of an excuse to mock users anymore?

That single post doesn't warrant its own dedicated thread.

Two posts instead of one deleted thread. Feel free to lock this—I've said my piece.
Rebecca Mitchell24 said:Where would we be if we all actually thought twice before hitting "post"...

I tried to keep the intro soft—not aggressive—so it wouldn't look like I was trying to sanitize the forum or kill the fun. Clearly, I failed at that.

The whole point here is for those who got swept up in the dogpile—people who aren't naturally built for this kind of chaos—to just take a beat and stop. Personally, I’d appreciate someone tapping me on the shoulder when I get carried away by the crowd. As for the people who live for this constant mockery? Well, they just found a fresh target, so everyone wins.

Regarding the moderation—the line was crossed the moment the admin team decided to join in on the jokes over at Amtrak. Look, there's no need to punish people for messing around, but joining in wasn't the move either. If anyone had turned the joke on an administrator—which, let's be honest, has happened during certain outbursts—they certainly wouldn't have gotten away with it.
Over the last few days, there’s been this collective mockery aimed at one particular user because of her statements and demands. Honestly—it’s hardly surprising. When someone posts something nonsensical on an American forum, it’s perfectly normal for people to react. I’m certainly not immune to it myself—if someone screws up, I’ll be the first to call it out and happily slap a "that was stupid" label on it.

To save everyone some breath—yes, you have every right to mock people here; that’s part of the culture, and if that doesn't suit you, you should probably find somewhere else to spend your free time.

I’m not asking for anyone to be punished for joining in, nor am I surprised by them. It is incredibly easy to fall into that cycle where everyone piles onto a single target. I’ll admit—if you looked through my own history, you’d likely find similar instances of group ridicule. It’s hard not to take the bait when someone hands it to you on a silver platter.

Regardless, I’ll ask everyone to just... dial it back a bit. What’s been happening lately has become frankly nauseating and quite pathetic. The user being targeted certainly made herself an easy mark, but she’s managed to scatter herself across too many different topics far beyond what is reasonable.

Consider this thread an appeal—feel free to mock me for it for the rest of your lives if you want, but before you decide to bury someone next time, take a moment to look at who you’re attacking and why. Within this crowd of people mocking her, there are plenty of intelligent, witty individuals—for God's sake, find a new way to be entertained. You have plenty of material, and you clearly have the brains; use them. This is just cheap.

This thread is also a critique of the administration, who enthusiastically joined this pile-on instead of de-escalating things. Let me repeat: I am not seeking penalties or bans for users who mocked someone for their comments—that would be foolish. What I am asking is that on Amtrak, you act like more than just typical forum trolls and stop encouraging these endless, drawn-out dramas that we already have enough of on other sub-forums.

On this specific thread , instead of just messing around, you had a chance to show some restraint. Instead, you all leaned in and added fuel to the fire. Don't do that in the future—that is my request.
I’m throwing this question out to anyone who might actually have an answer—even just a regular user on Reddit, if they happen to know 😁
.
There's no point in sending this via DM since it isn't private—truth be told, the answer would benefit anyone running a WordPress account who uses the forum for advertising in one way or another.

As a moderator, could you ask one of the other mods or the admins to step in—or perhaps move this thread to a different sub-section—if this isn't the right place for it?
Michelle Alvarez8 said:For me, the real tragedy is watching someone bark about something over and over like a broken record—especially when their own narrow perspective keeps them from seeing how they aren't helping anyone, and how what started as being intense just turns into something everyone else eventually ignores.

Honestly, this is a problem with every single ideology. So, it's nothing exclusive to feminism or anything we haven't seen before.

I'm undecided on whether I should report you for the underlined text. But, since I don't want to get caught up in the middle of it, I'll leave it up to placidorca16 to decide if they'll report you for being offensive or not.

Report this if you want to keep being trolled—or if you actually enjoy the chaos. Personally, I’m not gaining anything from this. Anyone who actually bothered to read my post would see it has absolutely nothing to do with placidorca16. Maybe I've just lost my mind. i You mocked the individuals in that sentence—but I suppose that's just how it works for anyone reading this with nothing better to do—or for those looking for a fight.
Casey Bennett said:Maybe the reason I don't feel insulted by certain descriptions is simply because they don't apply to me? 🤷
Did that possibility ever cross your mind? 😉

When someone (regardless of whether they are male or female) points out that there are plenty of women who are just plain boring, spending their entire lives glued to soap operas and gossiping, believe me, I won't feel the slightest urge to scream, "How dare you, you misogynist!" because, frankly, it’s the damn truth.

I have no interest in defending or representing anyone just because we share the same chromosomes, and I certainly don't want anyone speaking on behalf of women without my express permission.

Real struggle should be reserved for the disenfranchised, the oppressed, the hungry, and the helpless—regardless of whether we are talking about a child, a woman, a man, or an animal.

To summarize: feminism is, in my opinion, far too narrowly specialized, overly aggressive, and completely devoid of any sense of humor. I won't go so far as to call it fanaticism, but if anyone finds themselves offended by this, I wash my hands of their feelings.

Michelle Alvarez8 said:The absolute saddest part—honestly—is watching the voices of genuinely brilliant women get totally drowned out by all the noise feminism makes.

It’s honestly more depressing to watch people mock things—some out of pure ignorance, others just because they think being edgy is "cool"—when they clearly haven't the slightest clue what they're actually talking about. Or at least, they pretend they don't.

Feminism advocates for political, social, and economic equality between men and women—nothing more. It isn't some aggressive crusade, nor does it require a sense of humor to function—it’s simply about fundamental human rights. It's a decent idea, really; an idea rooted in basic humanity. If certain people can't distinguish between individual behavior and the core philosophy itself, that isn't a flaw in feminism—it's just a reflection of individual apathy and stupidity.

Look, feminism—just like any other movement or ideology—inevitably attracts aggressive idiots who end up doing more damage to the cause than they ever do good. It’s pathetic, really. Under the guise of feminism, certain people just vent their own personal frustrations through battles that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual movement. To call yourself a feminist while simultaneously trampling over men simply because of their gender is pure stupidity. Treating these creatures as relevant—or worse, equating them with the core idea itself, which is noble, non-aggressive, and genuinely good—is just plain foolish.

So you just cooked up a fake screenshot—purely to avoid losing your right to mock the illiterate, I assume. 🙂

Have you tried switching browsers? Or maybe logging in with a different account? 😁
I get it—you can't see Brian Edwards78's cards from a different account—but do it just to figure out if the issue is the account itself or something else entirely.
There’s no answer because:
- nobody actually understands what I'm talking about?
- you get it—you just have no clue what really went down?
- you follow me perfectly—it’s just classified information?
- Saturn is in retrograde in my seventh house?

Just click on your username above any of your previous posts, then hit View User Profile. You'll see an Infractions tab there—it follows the usual order: About me, Statistics, Violations, and Contact information.

Alternatively, if you want to use those Options you mentioned earlier, just look under Your Control panel in the top left. There’s a blue button with white text that says Your Profile. You'll find the Infractions tab right there too.

A third way—click http://www.forum.com/member.php?u=609 and then select Infractions.

If you still can't manage it, I'll put together some screenshots for you. But fair warning—once I do that, you lose all leverage to mock anyone for being illiterate, since this falls into basically the same category.

Just head over to your profile—you can get there by clicking on Brian Edwards78 and selecting "View User Profile"—and then check the Infractions tab to see all the pages. You'll only see the last five Violations if you just click through the options menu, but if you go via the actual profile, you'll see the full list.
