What kind of nonsense are you drinking "to gain weight" with?
Focus on building quality muscle instead; that’s the easiest way to pack on the mass.

Nancy Robinson50 said:Exactly. That’s the mindset. Every woman seems to think that if I’m putting in a grueling workout and lifting heavy, I should look like a bodybuilder after five months instead of just getting toned. 🙏

The issue is that most people are simply stuck in an echo chamber, fed nothing but misinformation by others who are just as misguided as they are.

Jason Campbell70 said:aside from Biotech, there aren't really any other brands you'd need to "avoid at all costs." (and even Biotech can turn out a solid product 😉 sometimes)

Scitec is just a completely average manufacturer—and if someone takes "average" as an insult, they've missed the point.
The vast majority of users won't even notice a difference.

A friend of mine actually had a sample lab-tested, and it turned out to be loaded with sugar and pretty poor quality. The only reason people like it is because it tastes good.

shadowsurfer12 said:I stick with Scitec Nutrition 100% Whey. Their proteins are solid—at least the flavor profile is great. It mixes smoothly with water without any weird clumps or grit. You can grab a $267-->5lb tub easily online; I think shipping is roughly $13

Anyone else using this stuff?

No, Scitec is honestly some of the worst junk on the market.

Just head to the post office, pick up your delivery, and you're all set.

Even though I probably should have prepared for it, I was convinced they wouldn't charge customs this time. When someone sends you something as a gift, you expect the US Postal Service not to go digging through it! ☕
Then you have some bureaucrat looking for any excuse to claim it's for resale—give me a break. It’s not like I ordered a massive stash; I just wanted two shakes of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey to try out two new flavors. Between the product and the shipping costs, I'd be looking at roughly $200, and I'm not about to waste money like that. Besides, consider how much shipping costs when it's sent via the postal service over to a neighboring country?

I'm not entirely certain, it's just something minor. In any case, it's cheaper; just hop in the car and you can easily slip by.

$87 Customs won't let me skip the fees, but there is no way I'm paying them. If they're really charging 22%, their math is completely broken. Forget it—I might as well drive this package straight across the border to a small town in the US just to send it back. ☕ By the way, all those Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey products that were out of stock have finally arrived! 🙂

What did you order? It’s simple: just order from a supplier in a neighboring state, have them ship it to some tiny village right on the border, and then go pick it up and bring it across yourself. I'm actually heading out to do exactly that tomorrow—on my bike.

It isn't pure Whey, but I think it’s perfectly fine.
If you mix it with water, you're looking at 28 grams of protein per serving. Mixing it with milk would bump that number up, but then you have to deal with the digestive issues that come with dairy.
By the way, where is the sugar coming from if it claims to have only 1%? 😕

So what else is there to take, Dymatize? For me, flavor is actually a huge factor. I can't stand anything that tastes revolting or has that chalky texture when mixed with water—honestly, I can't even imagine it. Some stuff makes me feel sick for half the day.
That's why I stick to Weider; they use sweeteners, so at least I don't have to lie in bed for an hour trying to settle my stomach after drinking it. ☕

That's a lie. Scitec is only good because it's loaded with sugar.
Stick to Dymatize Elite Whey or ISO100; Optimum Nutrition makes a solid Whey too.

Same here, $150

I just picked up a 2.5kg tub of Easov whey and a container of NO-Explode.

Why? 😕
It’s actually quite nice. 🙂
Honestly, I think Multipower is absolute garbage. 🤣

Oh, I almost forgot about Multipower too.

It’s basically just sugar disguised by a 20% protein content. That’s exactly why it tastes so good.

Weider and Scitec are absolute garbage

Personally, I've found ON and Dymatize to be the best so far.

I’m guessing you’re somewhere in that 16 to 19 age range, so just know that all this crisis stuff is going to pass eventually.

I wasn't actually trying to write anything; I just happened to be near the restroom when this happened.

And for the record, I was about 175 pounds in this photo.

Here is a recent shot of me. 🙂
