Robert Rodriguez2, you basically built the same rig, except $5.00 you went with a cheaper motherboard that probably has slightly weaker power delivery 😬
Just grab whatever cheap RAM is on sale... I mean, who actually needs 32GB anyway? xD
I guess 8GB is probably overkill for gaming.
I guess 8GB should hold you over for at least three years. By then, you might be looking at a total system overhaul anyway, probably moving over to DDR4.
Don't start a new thread for every single question; you already have your own...
Razer is better... but you're sacrificing $67 just to gain 3 FPS. You'd be better off grabbing an AMD or an EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (2GB). The latter usually goes for less than $500, and honestly, Razer is $567.
For $400 more, you're only looking at about a 15% boost in performance (like a GTX 780 versus an R9 280X). I guess it’s definitely not worth sacrificing other parts for that; you'd probably be better off putting that extra cash toward $133 three other components to get much better overall quality and power.
Looks like you've got a T-Mobile case there. It's actually not a bad chassis; you could probably just toss in one or two decent fans, maybe a dust filter? I guess I wouldn't bother swapping it out just yet. 😛
Robert Rodriguez2 said:...honestly, I highly doubt this Phenom will even handle a GTX 760.
That’s just not possible; the i7-4770K has pretty much the same performance level... and even then, the ceiling for an i7-4770K is maybe an HD 7850 or a GTX 660, let alone something like a GTX 960 or a GTX 760.🙂
I guess you should just wait for the next generation. Honestly, it doesn't seem worth it right now—you're mostly just spending money on a sidegrade rather than a real upgrade. Might be better to just hold onto your cash until those 20nm graphics cards 😉 hit the market.

+$27 maybe for two bundles(?). You're getting a card that's almost on par with an R9 290. The trade-offs are just losing out on a 1TB SSHD and getting a slightly weaker cooler, but since the price gap between a 500GB HDD and that drive is basically half the cost of a 120GB SSD, I guess you should just stick to an SSD later on and prioritize a significantly stronger graphics card right now.🙂
