Yeah, plus the exchange rate probably won't be the best deal, and you'll get hit with those annoying ATM fees just to withdraw cash (just like back home in the States).
It’s pretty wild that they offer a top-up via Lottery if you just switch your location to some other state besides where you actually are. I just can't tell if those Lottery vouchers have to be specific to that exact state—since you can't find them everywhere—or if you can just use ours...
It’s not really the same thing. A better way to look at it would be like depositing cash directly into your Wells Fargo account and then just using that balance to pay your bills.
Yeah, but that’s not actually working. Every time you try to push a payment through the app, it just gives you some canned error message saying it’s down and they’re "working on it" to get it back up ASAP. Of course, by the time they fix it, the whole thing won't even matter anymore...
It used to be a shared account over at Chase, but they killed that feature at the start of the year. Now, if you want to top it up, you're stuck using a card...
Taylor Davis27 said:Invalid code. Please try again. I attempted to use an account that already had a generated code, and naturally, it wouldn't process the payment... Edit: It refuses to work unless you call their customer service line. I ended up just inputting model 00 instead, and somehow, that actually worked.
Look, model 00 doesn't allow empty phone fields. If you don't have one, just use model 99.
If you ask me, those Cash App confirmations aren't worth much. It's just Cash App telling you they got the order. They really should be providing official bank statements that actually prove the transaction went through—you know, like how the Associated Press or USPS handle things.

In my book, that confirmation number is the only thing that actually matters—it’s the unique identifier for the whole transaction. Either the Department of Homeland Security has a massive glitch in their database, or you just dealt with some clerk at the window who thinks they "know" how things work when they clearly don't.
Madonna, on my Cash App receipts, it explicitly lists the actual Payer, and that happens on every single one of them. I noticed yours doesn't show that. Either there’s a glitch in the app's interface—because let's be honest, Cash App hasn't exactly mastered perfect localization for all their payment confirmations—or you simply didn't input your own name when you were setting up the payment request. That’s also a possibility, especially considering even the Department of Homeland Security can't see who the actual payer is in these cases.
It says "the ultimate payer" and then just blacks it out.
Maybe someone finally realized things were going sideways and told the lower tier they aren't allowed to accept incoming transfers. Which actually makes sense, because right now it’s just a confirmation that Cash App took the order before passing it off to the bank to process. In theory, that’s where everything can fall apart and the transaction just... vanishes.
