Easter is creeping up—time to get into these movies. 😁
I haven't seen all of them yet, but I’m trying to, so I'm curious which ones actually hit for you guys.
Which films handled this subject matter well, and which ones totally missed the mark? Why?
Any specific directors you'd call the masters of this genre?
For me, the most convincing one so far is
The Passion of the Christ (2004)Mel Gibson

I mean, the suffering is just... so visceral and real.
I can't for the life of me remember the name of that Italian director who made that great movie about Jesus as a kid
Anyone happen to know? 🤔
Great dialogue, too.
I also really liked Christian Duguay's work
AugustineTotal disappointment:
NoahI couldn't even make it ten minutes past the start. 👎
The casting was just so off.
The girl from Harry Potter, Russell Crowe as Noah, and the actress from A Beautiful Mind—they just didn't vibe together at all. 🤷
So, what's your go-to movie for this? 🍿
