Honestly, that fourth quarter is where the real magic happens; it's easily the strongest part of the game, especially when you consider the sheer momentum from those deep three-pointers and that absolute adrenaline rush they get from being high on life.🤣🤣
Honestly, all four of them are equally brilliant in my eyes. I find myself returning to them constantly; I’ve probably watched the entire series at least 50 times now—which breaks down to about 12.5 viewings for each installment.
It seems quite certain that even when Golden State plays poorly, they still tend to possess a certain edge during those final, crucial minutes. I actually found myself needing to take a knee after that first quarter, but looking back now, I can see they simply squandered a six-point lead in just three minutes left on the clock.

I’m just going purely on gut feeling here, mostly because I honestly don't trust this Warriors squad one bit.
I have to agree; even though I’m rooting for them, I don't trust them either. They are certainly a talented group, and they possess one of the absolute best players in the NBA, but a team that blows so many close games in the final minutes simply isn't a reliable bet. You should only look at them when the odds are high because they truly have the talent to win any night. Besides, they've already beaten teams like the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat this season, yet they struggle against almost everyone else. Personally, I find the odds on Orlando quite appealing today. They've been playing remarkably well lately, and I suspect Hawes is going to have a difficult time containing Howard.

The first meeting between these two squads this season ended with a Utah win, 94-85. In my estimation, the Utah Jazz hold the advantage here because they possess a deeper rotation of players capable of attacking the rim effectively, whereas Memphis finds themselves somewhat limited in that department due to the absence of Zach Randolph.
As we can observe, Utah managed to secure a significant 16-point advantage in the paint, which is quite a substantial margin. Furthermore, the Utah Jazz have been defending the interior quite well this season (#3 in the league), allowing opponents an average of just 20.8 attempts at 67.4% accuracy. The sole drawback is that Utah tends to struggle more when playing on the road; otherwise, I believe they would take this game outright. Personally, I feel the specific edge that Utah holds should be more than sufficient to cover the spread. 🤷
Why all this bashing toward Ivano Balić or anyone else? Spain is simply better, plain and simple. And where did this idea come from that they were our customers? They absolutely dismantled us in the World Championship final like nobody ever had before (and honestly, nobody has since). In all honesty, if Alilović wasn't playing at about 300% of his actual capability, we wouldn't have even made it out of the first group stage. As it stands, there might be a slim chance of making it to the end if the Frenchies really are as bad as they look.

It’s just like when he stabs that guy with the pen in Casino, too.
Ashley Kern said:Well, personally, I wouldn't say that's my favorite. But hey, everyone has their own taste. 😉
For me, his standout performance is actually in The Deer Hunter. In fact, I consider that to be his absolute best work, which is quite ironic considering it isn't a Scorsese film. 😁
The Deer Hunter is certainly a great film, though I find it a bit slow at certain points. For me, Christopher Walken is really the one who steals the show there.🤷
Maria Lopez said:Personally, I thought that scene right at the end by the mirror was incredibly intense. Maybe even beyond anything else. 😁
What about this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLNft6cO0I4 It's excellent, much like everything else in the movie. However, I still think the confrontation with his brother right before the physical altercation is the highlight for me. That is pure theater.🤣🤣 He is such a terrifying character.
Ashley Kern said:I think you're exaggerating quite a bit. While his performance was certainly excellent, I wouldn't say it stands out as the absolute best role in the entire movie. It’s a solid film, but nothing more than that.
In my estimation, this is undoubtedly his finest work—surpassing even Taxi Driver—and if we're looking at his entire career, he is likely sitting right at the very top. While it is nearly impossible to definitively rank every single legendary performance in cinematic history, claiming this isn't one of his best simply isn't accurate. Personally, when I look at his filmography, pairing this with Kevin Spacey in *The Vortex of Life* and Jack Nicholson in *Flight Above* completes my personal top three.
That wild opening scene is just something else. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBjvJpo-EM8
Man, I have to say, there are some incredibly solid matchups on the board today. At least from my perspective, I’ve suddenly found myself really liking both Minnesota and Oklahoma🙂🙂 Trying to nail five straight NBA games in a row is practically an impossible feat, regardless of how much research you do.🙂
Looking ahead to tomorrow, though, the slate looks pretty thin. There aren't any games that really catch a bettor's eye from a strategic standpoint.
Hmm, I honestly can't quite wrap my head around why everyone seems to be rooting against Denver. From where I'm sitting, they look like the most beautiful matchup on the board today🤷.
The same goes for GSW. Phoenix is looking absolutely dreadful right now, and if you look at the odds for State,🙏🙏 assuming Monte is in the lineup, we're looking at a realistic 1.30. Even without him, though, they really should pull this one off.
Indiana is the one truly giving me pause. New Jersey is performing at a level that’s almost comical, but whatever—they have to win against someone eventually. Still, I struggle to see which specific game they'll actually pick up. I think I'll just stick to my second option. Those three parlays should be more than enough for me.
By the way, that young woman whom De Niro is watching while she performs her ballet routine is actually Jennifer Connelly. Not to sound like I'm bragging, but I recognized her instantly. It was much the same experience recently when I was watching some silly movie and saw a young girl playing Deborah; I immediately suspected it was Christina Ricci. In that film, Cher plays her mother, while Winona Ryder portrays her sister. Naturally, my intuition was spot on.☕
I suppose I just have a knack for this sort of thing.☕
I’ve been lurking on this forum for two or three years now without ever actually starting a thread, but since I haven't come across this particular movie yet, I figured it was finally time to jump in. If a discussion on this already exists, please feel free to delete this or merge it.
So, what are your thoughts on the film? What did you make of Robert De Niro's performance? Amongst a sea of great performances, I personally found this one to be the most powerful. That heated argument right before he shoots his brother for no reason—that scene is absolutely legendary.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing your takes! hehehe
