I just read this news on my phone today, and honestly, the only thing that kept me from violently tearing my hair out in public—looking like a total 🙂 smiley face—was the sheer embarrassment of making a scene in front of everyone. Why, God, why? How does this even happen? At this point, I’d genuinely rather have gone without food for two weeks than miss out on seeing them live. Screw you, universe 🙂 🙂 🙂
Alright, I certainly grasp the sentiment that users have been abusing signature features in every way imaginable, but simply changing colors or shrinking the font size 🙂

If they truly mess this up, they should just step down. 🤷
I find myself quite aligned with the sentiment of using at least a few colors and a size 1 🙂—though let’s be perfectly clear, I am certainly not advocating for size 25, a zeroed-out font, or anything resembling Comic Sans.
I honestly can't stand this whole obsession with turning everything into a Facebook-style experience. It’s completely unnecessary and just kills the actual discussions that make a forum worth visiting in the first place.
My tongue was practically tripping over itself, honestly—it felt like I couldn't even get my words out right—but even then, I just can't seem to find the catastrophe in how many people are stuck in their thirties or early forties.

Oh, please. As if anyone listening to The White Stripes and AF wouldn't... 🙄
It’s truly tragic—and frankly, it affects my worldview—that this is happening. Though, I suppose nobody actually gives a damn. Wouldn't it be wonderful if someone else discovered a great band, gave them a listen, and simply enjoyed the music?
But no, you lot are just being unreasonably elitist for no reason at all. 🤷
Thomas Roberts9 said:I completely agree! The pharmacist recommended some tablets starting with N (I honestly can't remember the name), and recently I was taking 600mg Ibuprofen granules; I’ve tried Voltaren and Neofen and all sorts of things, but Ketonal capsules are definitely the best for me. Almost all of these medications take about two hours to start working (not to mention how I spend those two hours tossing and turning in bed from the pain 🙂).
Is there anything, anything at all, that works faster? Would it help if I took two Ketonal at once? (In my logic, it won't, I'll just be taking a double dose I don't actually need).🤔
I don't believe any of it! No exercises, no pelvic tilts, no whiskey, and certainly no magnesium... when it hurts, it truly HURTS.🙂
Of course you will. 😉
Personally, I usually reach for three, 😬 though I only do that as a one-off when the pain hits hard enough to be debilitating. Otherwise, I try to stay disciplined. But if the flare-up lands on a Monday morning, I don't exactly have the luxury of staying home to suffer through it; I have to function.
I just finished listening to Endgame. As I mentioned before, it’s definitely not what we’ve come to expect from them, but I wouldn't call it bad. I really ought to give it a second pass, though it actually landed quite well on my first listen. It feels somewhat similar to Appeal to reason.
feraltrucker5 said:Honestly, who hasn't been a total mess at some point in their life? 😛
right back at you 🙂
feraltrucker5 said:Or, at the very least, next time they find themselves wandering through these parts.
I suspect that’s exactly how it will play out ☕
feraltrucker5 said:I didn't even catch Symphony X. I was completely wiped out by a bout of exhaustion just before Nevermore; I had this virus, stayed up until 5 AM, and still had to drive 93 miles home, so I just called it quits.
though it can be quite a relief when the cycles aren't quite so punishing—for instance, this one was significantly less agonizing (only two cramps instead of the usual three little devils 🤣).
I really should have banned you a few days back. In RL, you probably would have managed to scrape the cash together by now, but here you just sit and whine on the forum. 😛
I did have the money, but then my utility bills spiked by $67 🤣 please don't ban me, I still need to write my thesis 😳
But alright, I won't drift into off-topic territory. I am genuinely concerned that I might actually perish from listening to all these male musicians before they even take the stage :versatilnost:
They’ll be back, mark my words. They’re only just hitting their forties, and honestly, even the younger crowd seems to be gravitating toward them lately. 🙂
I’ve got the stamina of a thoroughbred; honestly, even three of them couldn't knock me into bed if they tried.🙂
I suppose all that core training helped build up this muscular wall—nothing short of a solid foundation. I’ve got these strong, consistent abs, practically a Schwarzenegger three-in-one special. If there’s any small consolation for my future self, it’s the rumor that things might actually shrink a bit after childbirth.🙂 I'll check back in with you all in ten years.😁
Those pills just aren't meant for someone with my bloodwork.
Taking shots of whiskey is basically like doing cardio for me—it just ramps up the bleeding and the pain levels😬 Magnesium used to give me a slight edge if I took it before a heavy workout to stave off those nasty leg cramps the next day, but it’s doing absolutely nothing for this specific issue.
However, I did stumble upon a non-pharmaceutical remedy for fungal infections, and I figured, hey, there’s probably something similar out there for this too🧐 😁
I've been cycling through Voltaren, Ketolac, and for the last few months, mostly Advil. During that first day and a half of my period, I’m basically incapacitated. 😁 It isn't a joke—if I don't take two pills at once and then a third one a few hours later, I actually feel like I might pass out from the pain. I am effectively out of commission for two full days. On a monthly basis, I probably take maybe four or five Advil or Ketolac tablets and nothing else, but I noticed yesterday that my digestive system has become quite sensitive to them. I start getting this low-level nausea that radiates from my stomach downwards whenever I take them.
Has anyone actually managed to find a substitute for this constant pill-popping? And please, spare me the "try a heating pad" or "take some magnesium" suggestions, because those don't come anywhere close to the efficacy of actual medication. I need something—even if it takes longer to kick in—that can at least offset part of the dosage I have to swallow just to remain functional. I should mention that physical activity, staying sedentary, food, sex... absolutely nothing has changed the intensity of these cramps in the last 12 years. They are always exactly the same.
