Quarantine has nothing to do with those historical maritime republics in the way you are presenting it. Such practices were utilized in parts of Africa for centuries before the concept of modern order took hold, often involving the burning of the infected along with their entire village... The infected were not permitted to leave their huts, thus preventing them from spreading the contagion to others.
The historical examples serve only to demonstrate that isolation is the only reliable measure. We still know very little about this virus, and it is referenced as being among the most dangerous pathogens when it reaches an unprepared location.
At least, that is how it is being framed.

Actually, the problem is entirely within the system—this ridiculous fragmentation into tiny towns and little isolated pockets where you can't even budge 1.9 miles from your house without a pass just to maintain some semblance of a normal life, unlike people in major cities who can wander miles without needing permission. People aren't looking for grand adventures; they're just trying to function as normally as today's circumstances allow. But hey... it's easy to sit there and judge everyone else, isn't it?

Recall how viruses "pass"... there is simply no alternative; this is the most efficient method. As for myself, I move through NYC quite normally. Yeah, I suppose from that perspective, pointing the finger at Kovač and Stier regarding clientelism is pretty much a swing and a miss. Their members want exactly that—an easy life without doing any actual work and landing themselves the best possible government gigs. On the flip side, the leadership is just as hypocritical because they wouldn't be half as successful without that whole patronage system anyway... It’s probably a party that should just be shut down entirely; maybe then this country would actually stand a chance...

I have absolutely no intention of apologizing, mostly because I wasn't even talking about your posts. To be honest, I haven't really been reading them for a while now; I just figure if someone is actually breaking the rules, someone else will report it. My comments were actually aimed at the Secretary's current stance, not you. So, I don't really owe you an apology at all. If my moderators decide one of my posts warrants a penalty, they’re free to do what they need to do—I honestly don't care. It's just kind of funny how you managed to take my post so personally.🤣

I don't mean to lecture you here, but there’s one thing that’s really bugging me... you’ve been getting these identical partial results from various PDFs sent by different people who, frankly, have no idea each other exists and aren't even in the same circles. Yet, based solely on how you write, they all land on the exact same conclusion. And it doesn't seem to give you even a second thought—you don't even pause to ask yourself, "Wait a minute, where am I going wrong here?" You just keep doing the same thing over and over, and then act surprised when the result is always the same. How does that even work...🤔

Well, actually, I do see it. Because this is the community board, and I happen to be one of those people who complained in the community board section because a certain moderator called me a bot, which I obviously am not.

Hold on a second... is she moderating that specific sub-forum and preventing you from expressing yourself the way you always have? She’s posted on the OffTopic board before, doing the exact same thing she’s doing now, and that didn't seem to bother you. Just because someone becomes a moderator doesn't mean they suddenly get a halo over their head or become a saint. Users are still users; they just focus on keeping order in the specific area they're assigned to. I was simply saying that, in my opinion, those links don't actually constitute commenting on the moderation itself, but you've flagged that as an issue.

Because from what I understand, regular users aren't supposed to be critiquing the moderation team anywhere except in this specific section. Not in the chat, not anywhere else besides here.
But if we're operating under the principle of "what's fair for the gods isn't necessarily fair for the mortals," I'd appreciate it if that were made explicit too.

To be honest, looking through those links you provided, I don't see any actual commentary on the moderation itself. It just seems to be an observation that the community's attitude toward the moderator has shifted since she took over. There isn't any critique of specific moderator actions from other sub-forums or anything like that.🤔

I guess I'm asking if you could just drop that fucking investigation if it’s going to make things this buggy. I'm not planning on posting there anyway until someone in charge gives me the green light.

Or if there’s some other way to fix it... I don't know. Basically, having to log in constantly is a massive pain.

That happens to me all the time too. I usually just deal with it by checking the "remember me" box during login so it doesn't boot me out every single time I change pages.

I think you're right; all three of those posts were nothing more than cheap shots at the community. It’s just a mess—too many threads being thrown around and not enough actual people here to keep things civil.

In that entire thread, not a single post was actually banned, even though there were plenty of inappropriate comments, so I just wiped them to try and maintain some semblance of a decent atmosphere in the topic. Honestly, your post wouldn't have even been flagged if that user hadn't complained about being insulted, and let's be real, it was an insult (it’s not your first time, either; you often seem to lose your cool and then try to play it off. It's just your type... but sometimes someone actually takes offense and reports it).
It isn't "Tyler Vaughn7 & friends," but it certainly feels like it's turned into these little cliques and groups that migrated over from Off once the moderation team grew too large there. They moved to DiK just to keep up the same old drama from the previous PDF, and I guess the moderators were expected to act like remote controls so you could all settle your scores amongst yourselves. Feel free to push each other around via private messages as much as you want; fight, make up, form cliques, and break them apart—but don't drag me into your vendettas. That's all I have to say.
