I’d really like to get the other mods and the admins in on this proposal. To be honest, one particular mod just isn't sitting right with me, and I don't exactly trust their take on this. Maybe we should pull a small council together and hash it out properly.
The whole point of this forum is actually talking, isn't it? A ban is supposed to stop people from chatting when they're being irrelevant, but what’s the actual utility of a penalty if we just let the discussion run wild on the FBI thread?
Look, the idea is just to make the time pass a little faster, maybe have some human interaction without it blowing up the rest of the board. It's really not that deep.

Hey everyone, I’ve got an idea for those of us who find ourselves hanging out in the banned corner a bit more often than we’d like—maybe we could put some pressure on the admins to give us a chat feature while we're sitting in the FBI zone, just so we have a way to talk about whatever.
The thought actually hit me after spending three days straight just staring at the walls waiting for my ban to expire. Even guys in federal prison get to talk to one another, so why should we be left out, unless we're already out on parole?

That’s how it should work in a perfect world, but reality usually tells a different story. I mean, if you really look at it, how many priests could you actually vouch for being moral versus how many atheists? From what I gather, it was the Mexican nationalists—basically the right-wing crowd—who did it, so they really don't have anything to do with the atheists or the communists.
